It’s a great time to join as they develop their community around a new location in South East London, embark on ambitious artistic collaborations within and beyond jazz, and work in partnership with music education organisations around the country to address structural inequalities in music education.

As Head of Development, you will be a key member of a small team. Reporting to the incoming Chief Executive, you will develop and implement the preexisting fundraising strategy and guide the organisation’s communications and PR strategy. You will inherit a strategically developed portfolio of relationships and income streams, with particular strengths in trusts and foundations, and a strong network of individual donors and scope to build corporates. There is also a small but growing legacy circle, created in response to a recent bequest of £1M+. You will line manage a small team of two: the Development & Communications Coordinator, and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator. With ambitions to expand upon NYJO’s existing work, your ability to set and achieve more ambitious targets will be essential.

Please note that this role will require occasional travel that will vary across the year, depending on the events calendar. Travel is likely to be required twice per month - please discuss with Joe Blythe at QuarterFive. 

As Head of Development, you will:

• Develop and implement the existing fundraising strategy and develop marketing and communications efforts, ensuring cohesive and impactful messaging to effectively engage donors and stakeholders
• Deliver a high standard of supporter care and relationship management tailored to the level of giving, including nurturing their successful new Legacy Club
• Manage and attend an annual series of fundraising events, from relaxed open days to formal receptions
• Oversee NYJO marketing and communications
• Line manage the Development & Communications Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experience of securing 5- and 6-figure grants from a range of trust, statutory and/or individual sources
• Tailoring applications to appeal to a diverse range of funders/donors, which may include drawing together distinct areas of activity to create bespoke packages
• An outgoing, approachable, confident and professional manner in dealing with donors, prospects and other stakeholders
• Interest in UK Jazz and enthusiasm for working with young artists and musicians and broadening access to participatory arts for all young people

Overview:

Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Group formation and support: Oversee the setup and operation of 10-12 self-sustaining and independent peer support groups within your assigned region across the lifetime of the three-year project. Support existing group leaders and organisers to reach more people living with and affected by prostate cancer with tools and resources.
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support volunteer Support Group Leaders. Assist in the co-production of training materials and resources, aimed at creating self-sustainable groups.
• Community Engagement: Conduct outreach to map existing support services and facilitate the integration of these services with the peer support groups. Host local engagement events to boost volunteer recruitment.
• Data and Case Management: Use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support high-quality volunteer and case management, ensuring accurate data collection to support service outcomes.
• Training and Development: Develop and deliver tailored training programmes for volunteers based on the specific needs of Group Leaders and Organisers. Set up regional forums for sharing best practices and peer networking. Encourage use of Members Portal to share good practice.
• Documentation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Best Practice Guidance document. Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies to maintain safe governance of peer support groups.

Skills and Qualities Required:

The Training and Registers Officer is responsible for supporting the RSB’s overarching training agenda through administration, evaluation and development. Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)

Leadership

· Strive to ensure that the charitable purposes of IPWSO are followed and that it delivers the public benefit set out in its governing document.

· Take overall responsibility for the management and administration of IPWSO.

A leading cultural, social change organisation is looking for a Fellowship Growth and Partnerships Officer on a permanent basis.

 Location: London. Hybrid working (3 days office-based)

 As Fellowship Growth and Partnerships Officer you will be responsible for delivering the growth and development of the organisations network of over 31,000 Fellows in line with the overarching operational strategy. Excellent networking skills and the ability to engage new people effectively at events is crucial, as is the ability to think creatively and be able to spot and take advantage of opportunities. Finally, you must have strong data inputting skills and confidence with a  broad range of IT systems/the ability to quickly pick up new systems and technology.

Successful candidates for the Industrial Officer will be able to demonstrate:

• Encouraging participation and recruitment of new members, particularly of under-represented groups
• Industrial relations, negotiations, advocacy and representation
• Understanding of the political processes in the UK and the role and work of trade unions
• Basic knowledge of employment rights, equality legislation discrimination law and working practices
• Methods and techniques for bargaining, campaigning and organising in a digital age

The main duties of the Industrial Officer role include:

• Identifying and maximising the potential for union growth
• Influencing success by developing and promoting the union’s bargaining, campaigning, equality and organising agenda
• Encouraging membership participation and support in allocated areas of responsibility

The ability to organise own work, identify and set priorities as well as communicate effectively using written and oral channels, including reports and presentations, with a variety of audiences are all essential requirements for a successful Industrial Officer.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Animal Welfare Campaigning Charity 

Location: Hybrid working (mostly home based with a head office in Godalming, regular travel across the UK to meet politicians, supporters and other stakeholders)

The League Against Cruel Sports, a leading animal welfare charity, is looking for an inspiring and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation into the future. About the Role: 

As our CEO, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the strategic vision of the charity. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, you will lead the organisation in its mission to effect change, grow its influence and maximise the impact of our campaigns.

You are a strategic thinker with proven leadership experience, ideally within the nonprofit sector. You have a strong commitment to animal welfare, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams while navigating complex challenges. 

You will bring: 

• A track record of success in leadership roles, with experience in advocacy, fundraising, or campaigning. 

• A deep understanding of financial management, charity regulations and governance. 

• Strong communication and public speaking skills, with the confidence to represent the charity on a national stage. 

• The ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from government officials to celebrity supporters.

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you’ll create opportunities for our amazing supporters to connect with and drive our work through various means of individual giving. You'll create engaging communucations, ensuring that our donors feel valued and understand the impact they're having on babies and their families, and you'll develop key appeals and individual giving activity to drive growth in these income streams.

You will:

1. Manage the development of individual giving income streams, including legacy giving, regular giving, one-off gifts, in memory giving and new products
2. Co-ordinate key engagement activity, such as the annual supporter Thankathon and Impact Report
3. Oversee administration and stewardship of individual giving income
4. Manage the promotion, sale and distribution of Lullaby Trust merchandise

This role can be offered as a hybrid role (with approximately one day per week in our London office) or fully remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings or staff days as necessary; the two salary ranges above reflect this. The 21 hours could be worked across 3-5 days per week.
