As we continue to grow and expand our operation, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFOO) to join our senior leadership team.
The Role
We are looking for a seasoned and professionally qualified financial & operational leader to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our financial strategy, ensuring strong governance and compliance, and supporting our mission to create lasting change for vulnerable households.
The CFOO will report to the CEO and work closely with them and the Board of Trustees, overseeing financial & internal operations, advising on strategic financial matters, and safeguarding our resources for maximum impact In addition to the financial aspect of the role, the CFOO will support the CEO with the day to day operational running of the trust, overseeing HR, Admin, Compliance and IT functions. This role also includes leadership responsibilities for a small internal dedicated team and oversight of external contractors and consultants.
The role is home based with some travel to meetings, including overnight stays within the UK as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Trust's financial strategy, aligned with our mission and long-term goals.
- Oversee governance, risk, and compliance processes, ensuring that all regulatory and ethical standards are upheld.
- Present clear, insightful financial reports and analysis to the Board of Trustees, supporting informed decision-making.
- Develop and oversee the internal systems and processes within the Trust, fostering a culture of accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
- Work closely with the CEO and senior management team, providing guidance on financial sustainability and risk management.
- Proactively identify and manage financial risks, ensuring resources are deployed effectively and responsibly.
About You
- A qualified Chartered Accountant
- An Experienced Financial Strategist with a proven track record in strategic finance within a charitable organisation, foundation, trust or relevant setting.
- Experience of overseeing both Financial and non-financial internal functions, processes and systems.
- Risk-Aware and Analytical: Skilled at assessing and mitigating risks, with a highly analytical approach to financial & wider risk management.
- Skilled Communicator: Exceptional ability to communicate financial & wider insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including presenting to the Board of Trustees.

The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic organisation, founded in 1980 with a shared global mission to accompany, serve and advocate alongside and for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced people. After nine years of successfully growing and developing JRS UK, our Director Sarah Teather is stepping down to pursue new projects. Under Sarah’s inspiring leadership, JRS UK has been on a transformational journey to mature as an organisation, now delivering a range of services including providing advice, support and hardship grants, outreach services and advice, including legal advice. Much remains to be done in serving the people we exist to support, and we seek a new Director to take over from Sarah.
Our new Director will, in collaboration with the Management Board, staff and stakeholders, build on developments of recent years and develop JRS UK’s strategic vision in response to changes in the external refugee and asylum-seeker environment, and be capable of reaching out beyond the current polarised debate to build mutual understanding.
We are looking for an expert leader and manager who brings knowledge and experience of the refugee sector. You will be participative in style, approachable, and committed to the JRS UK mission of walking alongside refugees. About us:
Purpose of the role:
RMC attracts funding from a wide range of areas including trusts and foundations, Local Authorities and individuals. The Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager will work closely with fundraising and operational colleagues to diversify and grow income from Trusts, Foundations, Statutory bodies, and other institutional funders to enable the organisation to fulfill its strategic priorities. You will tailor applications to donors and nurture relationships in a way designed to inspire funding partners to act and support our services.
Relationships:
Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the post holder will work closely with other senior managers
and colleagues at RMC.
Key responsibilities:
· To play an integral role alongside other senior colleagues to pursue an ambitious Income Generation Plan.
· To secure significant income through charitable Trusts and grant making organisations including statutory bodies to provide income to support organisational priorities.
· To research and identify appropriate funders whose criteria match RMCs’ work and develop plans, prepare cases for support, and submit compelling bids and complex grant applications as appropriate.
· To develop and maintain a strong pipeline of £50k+ prospects, working with fundraising and operational colleagues to develop high-value, strategic and multi-year opportunities.
· Work across teams and build effective relationships with team members to identify suitable projects for funding in line with strategy and budgets.
· Ensure we meet the funders reporting requirements, and that grant payments and income are monitored and reported against.
· Contribute to the overall Fundraising Strategy
· Where required, support the preparation of funding applications by members of the team to other donors, including corporate donors, major donors, and other charity partners (NGOs).
Organisational
· Conduct all work according to the policies and procedures of RMC as appropriate and participate in review of these as required.

Personal specification
Knowledge and Experience:
· At least 5 years’ experience of Trusts and Foundations and Statutory fundraising, with a proven track record of success in winning large (above £50,000) and multi – year grants.
· Experience of managing relationships with external stakeholders
· Experience of writing impactful progress and monitoring reports to funders
· Experience of developing and managing budgets in line with funding applications.
· Experience of administration and record-keeping using a CRM – we currently use Donorfy
· Excellent research skills with an eye to identify opportunities.
· Experience of working and communicating effectively with people from a range of different cultures, faiths, and backgrounds.
· Understanding of the funding environment in the migration and social justice sectors in the UK

This role will support the Finance Manager in all aspects of accounting and financial management responsibilities including processing supplier invoices, issuing monthly sales invoices, reconciling bank accounts, supporting preparation of managements accounts, budget and year end accounts. The role will also be liaising with the admin team, as well as other internal departments, suppliers and customers.
You will also oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial management tasks to ensure that the charity's accounts are accurate and up to date and ensure that the various tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Salary: £21,200 (0.8) / 26,500 (FTE)

Key responsibilities of the Bookkeeper
Bookkeeping & Financial Transactions:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records up to the trial balance stage.
- Assist with month-end tasks and processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Accounts Payable:
- Process supplier invoices (via Dext and QuickBooks) and reconcile supplier statements.
- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and manage payment remittances.
- Handle supplier queries and staff expense claims efficiently.
Accounts Receivable:
- Raise sales invoices in accordance with the Sales Order master sheet.
- Assist with credit control by chasing late payments and reconciling income streams such as payments, donations, and grants in collaboration with the fundraising team.
Bank Reconciliation & Cash Handling:
- Reconcile bank accounts (volunteer and petty cash accounts).
- Handle cash transactions and ensure proper posting onto QB / Cash log spreadsheet
- Managing Petty Cash
- When required make card purchases and log in Purchase Order record
Payments & Salaries:
- Prepare and check fortnightly payment runs
- Upload salary payments to the online banking system
- Process payments and receipts into accounting software (QuickBooks)
Compliance & Financial Support:
- Ensure compliance with charity-specific accounting regulations
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities by working closely with the finance team and department managers
- Provide training and support to colleagues on finance procedures, such as sales orders, purchase orders, petty cash and expense claims.
Financial Processing for Hire and performances:
- Support the Head of Programming to ensure timely processes around ticket sales reports and payments to companies
- Support the Head of Programming to compile PPL and PRS reports to ensure music royalties are correctly recorded
- Support the Bookings Manager to create invoices for commercial hires, performance hires and monthly classes.
Additional responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for cash-related queries from staff, offering expert advice and support.
- Assist the Finance Manager with various accounting tasks and special projects as needed.
- Support the development and delivery of the organisation's Arts Training Scheme.

Main responsibilities and duties
To:
1. Coordinate and develop a wellbeing programme that supports the mental health and wellbeing of NST service users and the wider Braunstone community of LE3 1.
2. Support individual service user wellbeing by referring into activity delivered by NST and other local community partners.
3. Undertake regular wellbeing check-ins with service users to monitor progress and impact of engagement with wellbeing activity.
4. Update the company’s CRM system with participant information in line with GDPR and record progress and impact.
5. Develop, implement and maintain effective monitoring and recording systems: capturing and recording data to demonstrate the programme reach, providing reports and other information as required.
6. Support the Service Manager to maintain accurate budgets and financial records especially for monitoring funding grant returns.
7. Support the Service Manager in the development of funding bids to support delivery and expansion of the wellbeing programme.
8. Build and maintain partnerships which will support the development of wellbeing programmes.
9. Source, arrange and co-ordinate facilitators and practitioners suitable to deliver any planned activity.
10. Ensure that adequate risk assessments are undertaken prior to any activities and that confidentiality and safeguarding protocols are followed.
11. Support the Communications and Project Support Worker to promote the programme by developing copy and marketing material for circulation on the various company social media platforms and website.

General Duties:

18. Ensure that all NST activities are undertaken in line with the legal requirements and b inspired policy, procedures and good practice. This includes the production of risk assessments and other data that can demonstrate effective and safe planning.
19. Undertake consultations in-line with the Neighbourhood Action Plan and work alongside other members of the NST to gather, collate and analyse information that inform perceived local need/s.

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced manager and strategist to help us grow our income and impact. You will have a proven track record of running social enterprises or charities, managing staff and boosting income.
You will manage the development of Good Journey, including:
- Setting the business strategy, goals and targets
- Securing income from partnerships and grants
- Managing a small, dedicated, home-based team
You will be assisted by Founder Nat Taplin, who has led Good Journey since the launch in 2018 and will provide expertise on car-free travel.
You’ll be working from home 3-4 days a week. You will need to travel for some meetings. We support flexible working and have a strong ethos of work-life balance.
Salary is negotiable, depending on experience, in line with the non-profit sector. We also offer a pension scheme.

Home-Start UK has a wide portfolio of grant funders, who support our work with grants and donations of around £2m each year. The Role
The Head of Education will lead on the Society’s learning and training programme, ensuring that the activities developed by our volunteers cover the needs of current and future members and are created in the most engaging way possible. From overseeing our large annual conference, to smaller day training events, webinars and online resources, the post holder will also work collaboratively with stakeholders and industry to maximise our educational reach.
