Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working with older people across the UK.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Team Administrator supports our in-house Studio team with the administration and delivery of our content through the design, print and digital processes.

You will have excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills. You will have the ability to work under pressure to prioritise, deliver, manage, and coordinate several projects and activities simultaneously to tight timescales. You should also understand design and production best practice, processes and techniques across both online and offline formats.

About the role:

We are pleased to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our advice team at Citizens Advice Richmond as a Manage Your Money Lead.

In this role you will be working alongside volunteer advisers, providing holistic advice and support to households in financial crisis and provide advice around income maximisation, managing fuel costs including leading on our Energy Advice Project, benefit take-up, applying for grants to help with costs arising from the cost-of-living crisis, reducing indebtedness and budgeting and money management to help to prevent future financial crisis.

The purpose of this role is to reduce the stigma for low-income households around needing and accessing financial support and give people confidence to seek cheaper alternatives to contract costs around, for example, telephone, tv and broadband.

The project includes support on preparing personal income and expenditure details which can be used by residents themselves when negotiating with debtors on repayment plans.

This work will have a focus on community-based outreach work, working alongside organisations such as foodbanks and community centres. It will aim to prevent future or recurring hardship.

Role Purpose

The Head of Research and Delivery will lead the delivery of programmes, client-facing projects and research initiatives for GDI Hub CIC, working across the key themes of Disability Inclusion, Inclusive Design and Cities, Climate Change, Gender, Financial Inclusion and Assistive Technology. It is expected that the role holder will have considerable experience across at least two of these themes and an appetite for both broadening and deepening their knowledge across the others. They will also collaborate with research leads and teams based across GDI Hub including the Academic Research Centre (ARC) at UCL.

This is a senior, strategic, role responsible for team management and leading key projects, leading client, donor and government relationships, and providing strategic subject matter expertise. It would suit someone with a proven-track record in the sector and requires a strong aptitude for strategic thinking, delivery management and the creation of tenable and evidence-based recommendations. They will be creative and collaborative with a drive to make the world a fairer place, inspiring others to do the same.

They will be responsible for delivery on projects and research under their remit and contribute to the development of new projects and research, working closely with partners and clients. Current funders, partners and clients include the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, Asian Development Bank, Climate Investment Funds, UNICEF, Carbon Trust and Expo City Dubai. Role Responsibilities

Project and Research Delivery and Management

• Lead a growing portfolio of projects under the Research and Delivery team including a current portfolio of circa 10 active projects.
• Leadership of Global Thematic Goods sub-programme under the AT2030 programme, with direct project leadership of 2 workstreams (inclusive infrastructure and inclusive climate resilience).
• Lead the intellectual and strategic management of project delivery, ensuring that projects deliver clear messages aligned to programme targets, client needs and project scope and deliver impact.

Client Management and Reporting

Summary of the role:

As the Business Development specialist, you will be taking on a leadership role in the organisations plans for seeking growth in new markets through institutional relationships. These include (but are not limited to): the Middle East (Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait), Canada, and Europe. This is a senior technical position that performs a variety of complex business development work across the organisation.

About the Role:

1. Develop donor and new market engagement strategies and associated implementation plans
2. Engage internal and external senior stakeholders, influencing as needed to ensure that your team can maximise all opportunities.
3. Engage, build and manage relationships with targeted donors in new selected markets. Coordinate efforts with other team members responsible for income generation from Trusts and Foundations, corporate donors, and high-net worth donors.
4. Lead a comprehensive donor scoping and mapping exercise for donors in targeted new market. Continuously, update this mapping document based on engagement with prospective donors.
5. Identify and track relevant upcoming funding opportunities – through advance intelligence gathering, partner relationships, and other available resources
6. Provide grant management oversight on portfolio of grants funded by new Market donors and serve as primarily focal point for donor communications. 

About You:

To be successful in this role you will need:

1. Postgraduate degree in international development, sustainable livelihoods, humanitarianism, programme management, or equivalent.
2. Understanding of development programmes design, implementation and evaluation.
3. Knowledge of overseas markets and/or experience of successfully fundraising in a different market to the UK. Experience with Middle Eastern Donors is highly desirable.
4. Experience of successfully fundraising and dealing with institutional donors and international donors, with a focus on Trusts and Foundations.
5. Excellent technical skills in writing, editing, formatting, research, negotiation, and verbal communications.
6. Excellent networking and influencing skills, both internal and external. Specifically experience of supporting cultural change within an organisation, influencing sideways and upwards to gain buy in and active support from senior staff as needed.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity exists to support the pioneering work of The Royal Marsden, a world-leading and internationally renowned cancer centre. Our support enables the hospital to change the lives of cancer patients, and their families. around the world.
We raise funds to support life-saving cancer research, the construction of new world-class facilities, personalised treatment and care and investment in state-of-the-art equipment.
We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years and exceeded our fundraising targets. However, with one in two of us expected to develop some form of cancer, it is essential that we go even further in our fundraising efforts to support the essential work of The Royal Marsden. Therefore, we have recently launched our most ambitious strategy yet, that will see us raising at least £215m over the next 5 years.

To support us on our growth journey we now have an exciting opportunity to join us as our permanent Head of HR. Reporting into the Associate Director of Corporate Services and Grants, you will be the HR professional lead for the organisation.

Key deliverables:

• Act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, developing excellent working relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, providing sound senior level HR advice, using data and insights to inform decision-making and drive performance.
• Effective delivery of day-to-day HR management and oversight, including HR Policies, performance management, staff surveys, pay and benefits and employee engagement, whist inspiring any direct reports and external consultants to deliver exceptional performance.
• The continuous development and management of a Learning and Development programme which delivers on the needs of a high performing fundraising organisation.
• Embedding EDI into all aspects of the management and development of people, to ensure we are able to attract, engage and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce which reflects the diversity of the cancer community we support.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced business development professional with an excellent track record of securing corporate partnerships. You’ll be an enthusiastic, proactive and relationship-focussed individual confident to work towards driving growth within the charity. You’ll work alongside the CEO and Head of Marketing to increase the number of partners we work with specifically focusing on our mentor development programme Break the Wall. 

Responsibilities

• Generate leads and foster new partnerships with companies across the creative industries. You’ll attend pitches, write proposals and negotiate comfortably and with confidence.

• Create outbound leads. You’ll be setting up email campaigns and tracking the progress of new partnerships.

• Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing partners to ensure high renewal rates

• Work with the Head of Marketing to create innovative campaigns to attract new partners.

• Attend  industry events to network and ensure that CMN is at the forefront of the DEI conversation

• Create and implement a strategy to increase the number of partners (mentors) we work with on our Break the Wall programme. 

• Pitch Creative Mentor Networks offering and hold Q&As about our programmes and mission to potential partners

• Use Salesforce (CRM system) to track and manage leads/pipeline reporting into the CEO regarding leads and targets.

Skills and experience:

• Strong communication skills, in writing and in person.

• Commercially focused, with a track record of over-delivering sales targets. Able to pitch confidently to clients, and assertive enough to chase opportunities.

I’m looking to speak a creative and technical digital marketer who has experience running paid media campaigns, email campaigns, SEO set-up and tracking, CRM experience and capturing landing pages. You may have developed your experience at an agency, at a charity or an organisation who understand audience acquisition.
