About the role
Right now, the Partnerships and National Engagement Team is in an incredibly exciting period of growth, as Partnerships Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in building new transformational partnerships which support Crisis new ten-year strategy.
Working as part of a friendly and enthusiastic team you will be you will be responsible for identifying, nurturing and developing a robust pipeline of new partnerships, with value-aligned businesses, developing opportunities for us to work together to help us end homelessness in the UK.
As a key member of the Partnerships Development Team, you will be expected to deliver significant growth in Crisis corporate income and personally secure six and seven figure partnerships and sponsorships.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated, target-driven fundraiser who relishes the opportunity to develop innovative, creative, and strategic corporate partnerships. You will have a track record of pitching, securing, managing, and growing six and seven figure partnerships in the third (or equivalent) sector, coupled with excellent relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders. You are self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative, but you also enjoy collaborating with colleagues.
We are looking for a personable and intuitive candidate with excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style to achieve maximum impact upon relevant situations and audience.

A little bit about the role
We seek a graduate with excellent communication skills for our Recruitment team. You must be able to manage data, multitask, and adapt to dynamic environments. Enhance Frontline’s social worker training selection process with autonomy and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.
We think the internship at Frontline is unlike other internships. You’ll be given plenty of opportunity to develop key skills for your future career, while also holding a core role within the team. You will be joining us at our busiest time and so will have day to day coordinator responsibilities throughout the year. This makes it a great first step into your career as you’ll have real practical examples to take forward. You will work with the Selection Manager and Selection Officers to ensure the delivery of a highly effective and efficient recruitment process and to ensure the candidate experience is positive throughout.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Facilitate at Approach Social Work assessment centres, supporting assessors and sharing responsibility for ensuring days run smoothly and consistently
- Manage the logistics involved in planning and delivering over 40 assessment centre days (e.g. responding to candidate queries, monitoring candidate sign up, scheduling assessors)
- Act as first point of contact for candidates experiencing technical difficulties with IT systems used as part of selection process.

The Role
Reporting into the Funding and Innovation Manager you will lead on contract management, oversight and monitoring and evaluation of our grants and crowdfunding programmes to community groups and customers, with a value of over £350,000 a year. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing funding applications received, undertaking due diligence and make recommendations to the grants panel.

- Effectively manage contractors for our grant's programmes including Community Grants, Employment and Skills and grants for customers.

Duchenne UK is an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity. Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012.
DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this.
Since 2012, we have raised more than £27 million to end the devastating impact of DMD. We fund ground-breaking scientific research to find effective treatments. We’ve developed the infrastructure of DMD clinical trial delivery in the UK. We engage industry and regulators to accelerate access to treatments. And we’re here to support every family affected and ensure that they receive the best possible care. We aim not only to improve quality of life but stop the disease in its tracks. We’re doing it faster too, because this generation of patients can’t wait.
Alex and Emily were awarded OBEs in The King’s Birthday Honours List in 2023 in recognition of their services to charity and to people living with DMD. They, and the dedicated and effective team they have built at Duchenne UK, are now at the forefront of this work in the UK.

We have a new opportunity to join our team and build on these achievements. We are recruiting for a Director of Income Generation, who will be a key part of our senior leadership team and play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission.
The Director of Income Generation will work collaboratively across the organisation to oversee and grow all of Duchenne UK’s income streams including fundraising, commercial engagement, and new business opportunities.
The Director of Income Generation will report to the CEO and sit on the Senior Leadership team, working closely alongside the Director of Research and Development and Director of Finance.

About the role
At a strategic level this role is responsible for leading on all aspects of income, including fundraising, commercial engagement, and new business opportunities, leading the development and delivery of a bold and effective income strategy to support our organisational ambitions and future sustainability.
The Director of Income Generation will inspire and develop the charity’s income team, taking overall responsibility for setting and achieving income targets for the organisation. They will ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to income generation across the organisation.
The Director of Income Generation will report to the CEO and be part of the Senior Leadership team, working closely alongside the Managing Director, Finance Director and Director of Research and Development. They will line manage a team to support the delivery of the income strategy.
Job Description
Income Generation
- Aligned to the organisational strategy, designing and delivering Duchenne UK’s income generation strategy, establishing a delivery plan to hit targets across a diverse range of income streams, including community fundraising, events, trusts and foundations, major donors, research and development grants and commercial income.
- Oversee the process and systems of managing funders and new business opportunities, including overseeing the charity’s CRM system (Salesforce) to support a high end and holistic approach to the account management of funders and stakeholders.
- Set, monitor and deliver annual income and expenditure targets.
- Attend meetings with funders and prospects, and networking events to uncover new opportunities, including management of Duchenne UK’s Development Board.
- Developing and growing the income pipeline, working closely with the Research and Development team to identify funding for existing and pipeline projects.
- Support the team to develop professional and engaging materials including fundraising proposition, applications, proposals, appeals, pitches and reports.
- Proactively seek-out and identify new trends and developments and make recommendations to Duchenne UK.

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. · Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support.
· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to launch and grow the Tees & Tyne Regional Action Board
· Work with the Programmes and Partnership and Incomes teams to develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

We're looking for two experienced bid and/or fundraising professionals to join our team as Bid and Fundraising Manager (internally known as Development Manager) on a permanent basis.
You'll be responsible for the development of a portfolio of donor relationships and will work across all parts of the proposal process from prospect research all the way through to submissions. As Development Manager, you'll work alongside the Associate Directors of Development to support their work in leading a range of funding opportunities. This includes central government contracts, local authority bids, corporate partnerships, and grants from trusts and foundations.

We would like you to:
- Contribute to and deliver successful strategies for securing funding opportunities, pinpointing key differentiators, understanding funders’ specific requirements and ensuring those are met
- Support the Associate Directors to develop, maintain and manage the pipeline, using research, analysis and planning skills.
- Formulate and script high-quality bid responses and create high-quality proposal documents
- Work cross-organisationally to identify and assemble a team of SMEs (internal and external) to scope, define and capture the information required to prepare funding proposals
Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Associate Director, Development. In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role you'll have a good understanding of funding/proposal preparation processes and experience in securing funding opportunities in the range of £50k-£100k.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of successfully cultivating relationships with funders such as trust, foundations, local authorities, corporates and major donors.
Whilst experience of securing funding from research institutions and knowledge of England's education and charity sectors are desirable, it is not essential for applying to this role.
If you can demonstrate team leadership skills and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-moving environment, managing multiple competing priorities and a complex workload whilst meeting deadlines effectively, we welcome an application from you.
