The British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) is an organisation focused on the promotion of gastroenterology and hepatology within the United Kingdom. Main Job Focus

• The COO ensures that all operational governance, finance and HR matters of the BSG are dealt with effectively and to the highest standard.

• Ensure digital development of BSG reflect the strategic objectives of the organisation

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with CEO and Senior Management team to develop and implement the charity’s strategy 
• Work closely with the Board of Trustees, Executive and Council preparing agendas and papers for meetings, attending the meetings and taking Minutes
• Ensure all aspects of the Society’s Governance are managed effectively
• Companies House/Charity Commission filing
• Management of the HR function to include administration using Breath HR, induction of new staff, BSG Officers and Trustees
• Management of the election process for committee members
• Ensure governance of the charity is dealt with effectively including all policies and procedures implementing change where necessary
• Be the Data Protection Officer for the charity ensuring that the charity is GDPR compliant
• Preparation and management of budgets with the CEO
• Prepare tender documents and lead process for external providers of services
• With the CEO, drive a culture of continuous improvement in all support areas of the charity 
• Deputise for the CEO when required
• Attend and support the BSG annual conference which takes place over four days in June each year.
• Involved in higher committees and relevant working groups of the Society, supporting their development and implementation of key initiatives

Overall Purpose of the Head of Research

• To lead the delivery of the charity’s strategic research aims including managing and further developing Guts UK’s grants programme, managing our small research team, working with research partners and networks to raise awareness of our work and outcomes, further develop impact, and continue to develop and embed patient and public involvement (PPI) in our research.
• To drive new initiatives and develop and deliver tactical plans for the Research team which meet our strategic objectives.
• As a member of the charity’s senior leadership team, to contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of strategic initiatives and the wider development of the charity.

We are looking for an experienced healthcare research manager who is looking to take their next career step including a move to senior leadership role. The Corporate & Public Engagement team in the Communications Directorate promotes corporate interest in the College and engages future medics and scientists in careers in pathology, particularly through our awareness activities, including National Pathology Week.

About the consultancy

Reprieve’s Operations team works with colleagues and consultants in Reprieve’s London office, in Washington DC and around the globe on HR, office management, IT, safety and security, procurement and general operations. The HR Operations Consultant will join the Operations team to cover a planned absence, working from our office in Whitechapel.

The consultancy will focus on HR processes and administration to cover the full employee lifecycle. This will include:

· Recruitment administration and coordination for staff roles

· Drafting HR documents

· Ensuring Reprieve’s HRS is up-to-date at all times

· Answering routine queries

• Deliver membership communications through our website, email and social media
• Creating and sending out member emails, ensuring that activity is consistent, accurate and timely
•  Creating social media posts across multiple Twitter accounts, as well as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram ensuring they are accurate, consistent and timely
• Ensure the communications calendar is maintained and accurate, and work with the communications team to ensure all messaging is appropriately scheduled to ensure maximum engagement and member experience
• Supporting the team in proofreading communications to ensure messaging and standards are consistent
• Monitor and improve email and social media communications through regular reporting and recommending improvements

Our team in Greenwich work together to offer a range of support to promote wellbeing and help people to manage their mental health. Client needs shape our services and they are at the centre of all we do.

We are recruiting a Peer Support Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of Peer Support sessions and work with Peer Support Volunteers to develop new opportunities. Groups will be held at our Greenwich centre and at venues across the borough of Greenwich. We particularly want to increase engagement of under-served communities in Greenwich.

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. As a Finance & Debt Specialist Advisor, you will provide service users with advice and support on finance and debt. Carrying out comprehensive assessments, via phone and face-to-face, and you will provide advocacy and support that empowers survivors primarily during crises and in the short term. You will also proactively work with other agencies on the service users’ behalf. You will hold a caseload of survivors and work as part of our duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

The service is Pan London and operates within local communities, necessitating travel across all 11 boroughs to deliver outreach support to clients when needed.

About You:

To be successful as the Finance and Debt Specialist Advisor you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have the ability to encourage user engagement with the service through proactive contact. Maintain project logs and collate data from the logs for Team Managers. Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have. Bring your experience of providing finance, and debt advice and successfully, managing high numbers of calls and/or cases and have a solid understanding (possibly experience) of supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour-based violence

Purpose of this role YMCA Thames Gateway offers support and accommodation to young people in need and children in care. The service aims to help young people develop the skills and knowledge to be able to live independently and improve their life chances. The Head of Support will be the strategic lead of the Young Futures Programme and ensure that accommodation and support services are delivered in a regulatory and contractually compliant way. The role will be the Registered Service Manager. The role will ensure that Key Performance Indicators are being met with accurate reporting to Commissioners. Service improvement plans will be developed and implemented. 

The London Diocesan Fund (LDF) is seeking a Safeguarding Administrator to play a key role within the Safeguarding team, based from Causton Street. 

Job Summary 

The Safeguarding Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support for meetings and safeguarding activities to aid the smooth running of the safeguarding team. This role ensure that the safeguarding team provides a professional and friendly service to parishes within the Diocese of London, and to the London Diocesan Fund.

Job responsibilities 

Administrative support for meetings 

• Provide administrative support for the Safeguarding Leadership Team. 
• Produce high quality accurate minutes of team meetings and ensure they run smoothly. 

Administrative support for safeguarding activity 

• Work with the Safer Churches Programme Manager to provide day to day administrative support, working closely to ensure functions run smoothly.
• Work within national and diocesan safer churches policy and procedures as defined in the safer churches programme of work.
• Support the Safeguarding Advisors with safeguarding agreements and risk assessments as required.
• Provide effective administrative support, maintaining standards as required by the Diocese.
• Work with the Safer Churches Programme Manager to provide performance data to assist the regular reporting management information.  
• Provide administrative support for Disclosure and Baring Service checks.

Training administration  

• Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the safeguarding training programme.
• Support trainers’ timely preparation, pre and post training.
• Co-ordinate the evaluation process to assess trainer performance and impact on learning.
• Manage safeguarding training inbox.
• Work closely with colleagues in the Area Offices to keep licensed clergy and lay ministers training kept up to date. 

General administrative support 

• Ensure confidentially in line with GDPR.  
• Process Invoices and annual subscriptions in a timely way and maintain tracking spreadsheet.
• Update contact details of local authorities, LADO’s and statutory agencies covering the diocesan area.  
• Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the role.

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Experience in the undertaking of routine and time-bound tasks
• Educated to GCSE or equivalent standard
• IT proficiency (MS Office suite)
• Fluency in spoken English and ability to write clearly in English.
• Ability to handle people sensitively
• Ability to take comprehensive notes and prepare accurate minutes
• Empathetic to the mission and values of the Church of England
• Right to work in the UK
• Basic DBS Check

Desirable 

• Previous administrative experience
• Experience of working in a value-based organisation

You will be an astute finance professional who is able to provide sound financial advice as well having a strong grip on day-to-day financial operations. You will also ideally have experience of HR, IT, and administrative functions, and will assume company secretary responsibilities, enjoying direct liaison with our Board of Trustees.
