Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and execute the Sports and Wellness strategy and service line: Improve physical health and mental well-being through sports and related activities by launching novel sports and wellness initiatives that prioritize agility and holistic health.
• Forward-thinking initiatives: design and launch innovative sports and wellness initiatives that promote physical agility and holistic health within the community. These should include sessions for mental and physical well-being like football, exercise, and self-defence classes.
• Make discretionary referrals to subsidised counselling.
• Offer subsidised programmes for mental and physical wellbeing: champion mental health awareness by offering subsidised programs for mental and physical well-being, including access to wellbeing workshops.
2. Measure performance: Keep accurate count of thefrequency and attendance of sports, counselling and wellness sessions; and the self-reported improvement in participants' mental and physical health after sessions. Provide this data to the Governance Team and Trustees on request.
3. Collaboration with Verticals Teams:
• Partnership Development & Collaboration Team: Coordinate with this team to identify and establishalliances and partnerships with local, regional and global organisations, businesses, councils, and thegovernment to acquire Sports and Wellness resources, speakers or information.
• Fundraising & Financial Management Team: Collaborate with this team to conduct fundraising activities and financial planning for the Sports and Wellness service line. Identify diverse revenue streams, such as grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, fundraising events for the Sports and Wellness service.
• Volunteer Engagement Team: Work with this team to recruit, train and manage volunteers to support the Sports and Wellness service delivery.
• Marketing Outreach & Advocacy: work with this team to enhance visibility of the Sports and Wellnessservice across social media, press, and community events.
4. Governance Team Interaction: Provide regular updates and reports to the Governance, Secretariat & Performance Reporting team. Ensure programmealignment with Barawak policies, procedures, strategy and objectives. Collaborate on monitoring and evaluation efforts to assess Sports and Wellness service impact and effectiveness.

We are looking for a confident, friendly, organised person to join Citizens Advice Test Valley. We are looking for new trustees to work at Citizens Advice Test Valley. We are a well-established charity - we work hard as team to help the community of Test Valley and are supported by a small team of trustees.
Trustees are volunteers who are expected to use their skills, knowledge and experience to help guide and govern. They work with the Chief Officer and other staff to shape strategy and give direction.
This includes making sure that their local Citizens Advice is:
- Doing what it was set-up to do, such as offering high quality advice services to the local community.
- Complying with the law, including upkeep of premises, insurance, recruitment and equipment.
- Securing money to meet current and new demands, and that all funds are used responsibly.
- Recognised and valued by local organisations, funders and people, who are aware of the vital service their local Citizens Advice provides.
Attendance at regular meetings is expected by all trustees. Sometimes trustees will get involved in additional governance projects, such as supporting fundraising, developing strategy or overseeing HR procedures.
Within a board, some trustees will have a specific role, such as being the Chair, Treasurer or Secretary. These positions have defined responsibilities, such as chairing and facilitating meetings (Chair), overseeing the budget (Treasurer) and taking and circulating minutes (Secretary).
No specific qualifications are required to be a trustee. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and experience who are passionate about advice services and can bring innovative ideas, unique perspectives and good judgement.
Your time commitment will be about 4 hours every month undertaking trustee business.
Most trustee boards meet in the evenings to allow people to fit around full-time employment or studying. However, outside of meetings, trustees may be required to give additional support, such as working with members of staff on key projects (such as budgeting, recruitment or communications).

As we continue to build upon and develop our ambitious work, we are seeking a new Chair of Trustees to join our existing board, alongside new trustees including those living with dementia.
Who are we looking for?
In conducting a wide search, we’re hoping there will be people who put themselves forward that we may never otherwise have been in touch with. So, if you don’t see yourself represented here, please do put yourself forward; this is in no way an exhaustive list. We are keen to hear from people with lived experience of dementia, whilst also recognising that other life experiences may give you insights and understanding that could help the organisation to develop.
- Do you have experience of working in or supporting larger charity structures, the health and social care sector, or fundraising and philanthropy?
- Are you an artist or arts sector leader?
- Are you living with dementia, or supporting someone with a dementia diagnosis?
- Are you a disabled person and/or someone who in other ways has rights under the Equalities Act 2010?
Length of service: This is typically an initial three-year appointment; you may choose to stand down or be re-appointed after this time.
Time commitment: There is a board meeting each quarter, one of which is also our AGM. We’d anticipate contact between meetings, typically via email. We will also have an annual away day.
Recompense: This is a voluntary position; Bright Shadow reimburses expenses incurred whilst carrying out trustee duties.
Personal development: Training, support, and mentoring are available to all trustees.
Key responsibilities as a trustee:
- Champion the values and work of Bright Shadow, including but not limited to our position as a disability equality driven, anti-racist organisation
- Ensure that Bright Shadow pursues our stated objects (purposes), as defined in our Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governing document, and does so complying with relevant charity law
- Ensure that Bright Shadow runs well, including having appropriate policies and procedures in place
- Ensure our financial stability through good governance
- Bring strategic influencing skills and contacts
And additionally, as Chair:
- Provide leadership to the organisation and the board
- Chair and facilitate board meetings, including agenda setting with the Chief Executive
- Support the Chief Executive including through an annual appraisal

Our trustees play a vital role in achieving the Strata Florida Trust’s core aim – the restoration of the buildings of Mynachlog Fawr to create the Strata Florida Centre/Canolfan Ystrad Fflur as a place of heritage, culture and education. They oversee and steer the vision, strategy and progress of the Trust, drawing on their own knowledge, skills and networks.
As a small but ambitious charity we are seeking individuals for the role whose experience and skills will complement those of our existing board members and enable the Trust to continue to expand.
Remuneration: The role of Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration.
Time commitment: Six Board meetings per year. Approximately 12 days in total including board meetings, and additional meetings, discussion and preparation.
Reporting to Chairman of the Trustees
Duties:
· Support and provide advice on the Strata Florida Trust’s purpose, vision, goals and activities.
· Approve operational strategies and policies, and monitor and evaluate their implementation.
· Oversee the Trust’s financial plans and budgets and monitor and evaluate progress.
· Ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation.
· Ensure that key risks are being identified, monitored and controlled effectively.
· Review and approve the Strata Florida Trust’s annual financial reports.
· Work with and support or challenge the Director of the Trust when needed.
· Contribute to regular reviews of the Trust’s own governance.
· Attend Board meetings, adequately prepared to contribute to discussions.
· Use independent judgment, acting legally and in good faith to promote and protect the Trust’s interests, to the exclusion of their own personal and/or any third party interests.
· Contribute to the broader promotion of the Trust’s objects, aims and reputation by applying your skills, expertise, knowledge and contacts.
As a small charity, there will be times when the trustees will need to be actively involved beyond Board meetings. This may involve leading discussions, focusing on key issues, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, presenting externally, or other issues in which the trustee has special expertise.
What we are looking for
We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board.
An interest in supporting heritage, Welsh culture, education, tourism, rural communities, and traditional skills is essential. We are particularly interested in those who have experience of operational delivery and professional skills including accountancy and income generation.
Previous governance experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

PFP is a UK-based charity working in Africa and Asia since 2004, and this year we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. Our Mission is to work together with local people and filmmakers to produce, distribute and show local language educational films that give help and hope to vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. Primary responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to quarterly Board meetings and work with the Trustees and Directors in advancing PFP’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
- Deliver and develop PFP’s communications strategy. This includes: working with our executive team to produce supporter newsletters and build our supporter network; developing our social media strategy, and supporting our Administrator in its implementation; and producing press releases.
- Maintain and develop our Wordpress website.
- Proactively seek fundraising opportunities.
- Contribute to the effective governance of PFP, including: ensuring PFP is accountable and carrying out its purpose for public benefit; ensuring compliance with the governing document and applicable law; and challenging the management of resources and ensuring financial stability.

We are partnering Music Therapy Works (MTW) an independent charity based in the West Midlands, whose mission is to deliver comprehensive music therapy services for individuals, groups and communities in a wide range of circumstances.
MTW provides music therapy to support and enhance communication, self-expression, and wellbeing. They work in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, care homes and hospices to help people whose lives have been affected by injury, illness or disability through supporting their psychological, emotional, cognitive, physical, communicative and social needs.
We are seeking a new Trustee for MTW to join their current board and support the CEO to bring new insight and skills to set and approve the strategic direction of the charity.

ROLE SUMMARY
How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
Our trustees bring strategic oversight and direction; to ensure Causeway is true to its purpose and effective in its strategic objectives, whilst ensuring all governance responsibilities are fulfilled. They champion the people we support, promote the charity and its work and bring expertise in order to purposefully develop Causeway and its impact. The Charities Act 1993 defines charity trustees as those responsible under the charity's governing document for controlling the administration and management of the charity. At Causeway the charity trustees are the board of directors and are known as the trustee board.
Who are we looking for?
Causeway are looking to recruit a Treasurer to the Board who is willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and support the strategic growth of the charity. We are particularly looking for our Treasurer to have:
• A relevant accounting qualification.
• Experience of charity accounting and relevant accounting standards.
• Ability to maintain overview of the financial affairs of the charity, ensuring its viability and proper financial records and procedures.
• A confident networker who will bring relevant connections and facilitate introductions for the benefit the charity.
• Experience in working with the Chief Financial Officer, Board and subcommittees.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of the trustee board is to receive assets from our partners and donors, safeguard them and apply them to the charitable purposes of Causeway. The trustee board must always act in the best interests of the charity, exercising the same standard of duty of care that a prudent person would apply if looking after the affairs of someone for whom they have responsibility.
The legal responsibilities of a trustee are to:
· Ensure that Causeway complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations
· Ensure that Causeway pursues its objects as defined in its governing document
· Ensure Causeway applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objects
· Contribute actively to the board of trustees by providing strategic direction, setting overall policy, and defining goals and targets
· Ensure the financial stability of Causeway
· Safeguard the good name of Causeway, scrutinise board papers and other key communications
In addition to the above statutory duties, each trustee will use their specialist skills, knowledge and experience to identify key issues, provide advice and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Leadership team, and help improve the decision making of the trustees board.
· Our trustees will seek to promote Causeway, drawing upon their strategic contacts and networks and supporting fundraising efforts in order to maximise the charity’s impact and brand.
Trustee Criteria (skills and expertise)
Each trustee must be:
· Support and provide advice on Causeway’s purpose, vision, goals and activities.
· Approve operational strategies and policies and monitor and evaluate their implementation.
· Oversee Causeway’s financial plans and budgets and monitor and evaluate progress.
· Ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation.
· Ensure that key risks are being identified, monitored and controlled effectively.
· Review and approve Causeway’s financial statements.
· Provide support and challenge to the CEO in the exercise of their delegated authority and affairs.
· Keep abreast of changes in the landscape that Causeway operates in
· Contribute to regular reviews of Causeway’s governance.

· To create and chair the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee where the following aspects are discussed on behalf of the Board of Trustees; and attend the Remuneration Committee.
· In association with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Finance Officer, to ensure all financial dealings are properly accounted for.
