Our Income Generation Team is seeking to appoint an In-Memory Fundraiser, to support all aspects of the In-Memory income at the hospice. 

In this challenging role, you will be required to co-ordinate all the In-Memory income streams, monitoring and reporting on in-memory income and activity. You will support the Individual Giving Manager, to whom you will report, with appeals, events and marketing activities. You will contribute to supporter experience and engagement, ensuring all databases and records of donations are accurate.

With a strong understanding of institutional funding, ideally from the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, you will have a pivotal role in the Trusts and Institutional Funding team, providing information management, reporting, and logistics support as well as ensuring an effective grants management system. Your role

War Child is sector leading with our heritage, connections, and relationships in the world of music, gaming, and events. We want to dramatically grow income from trusts, foundations and institutional donors in the UK market and we are looking for a motivated Trusts & Institutional Funding Executive to support the new Trusts and Institutional Funding team to reach more children than ever.

A member of the Philanthropy and Partner Engagement team, you will report into the Institutional Funding Lead whilst working closely with the regional teams, the country teams, the War Child Alliance team and all relationship managers within the Philanthropy and Partner engagement team.

Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative, and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes, by ensuring compliance with quality and donor requirements, contributing to effective risk management, providing support for the different donor accounts and ensuring processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient. The role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Your responsibilities

Support to secure funding from institutional and trust donors

· Monitor and share potential funding opportunities with the relevant Donor Account Managers within the Trusts and Institutional Funding team and within the War Child Alliance with countries, regional and global teams

· Develop donor profiles by conducting research on potential donors, including their funding focus, giving history, and connections to War Child. Utilise a variety of resources to gather comprehensive information.

· Plan and prepare meetings with donors by collaborating with senior colleagues and stakeholders to determine strategic objectives and key messages. Coordinate logistical details, such as scheduling, venue selection, and materials preparation, to ensure smooth and productive meetings. Join senior colleagues in donor meetings and engagement opportunities when necessary.

· Support with the submission of concept notes, proposals (including Go-NoGo, internal approvals, donor vetting, due diligence, administrative documents) and reports. This includes conducting research on donors for vetting, coordinating with all internal stakeholders to organise a Go-NoGo decision, securing internal approvals in line with our Authorisation matrix, and liaising internally to gather relevant administrative documents and information).

· Work with War Child Alliance colleagues (including the Alliance Institutional Funding team, Country Directors, Regional teams and War Child NL colleagues) to support the creation of cases for support and capacity statements as required for UK donors to engage prospective donors and potential consortia partners.

· Collect information, provide access to and manage administrative data on donor databases and donor portals. Update our profile as required to ensure we are ready to submit proposals in a timely manner.

Strengthen internal capacities for Trusts & Institutional fundraising

· Support the implementation of internal grant management processes, ensuring compliance with our Grant Management Manual as well as compliance with GDPR and fundraising regulations

· Ensure accuracy of data in our grant management and Finance systems, including coding and alignment with our Finance policy and update data as required to ensure reports are accurate, up-to-date and insightful

· Prepare Salesforce reports, circulate with relevant stakeholders and analyse them to identify areas of success, issues and patterns, helping the team to make informed decision for future plans and strategies  

· Liaise with and support the Alliance to support IATI (the International Aid Transparency Initiative) reporting as required, providing grant information and administrative documents

· Ensure compliant and organised information filing on Sharepoint to facilitate access to relevant information for all War Child staff and ensure smooth collaboration.

Improve work processes and disseminate information

· Identify gaps or bottlenecks in internal processes and propose ways for improvement, including developing tools and templates where necessary

· Facilitate work processes, provide guidance to the team and coordinate with the wider War Child Alliance to facilitate the sharing and improve the quality of information

· Support with improvement of Salesforce, coordinating with the Trusts & Institutional Funding team, Finance team and data team to identify any gaps in the system, suggesting ideas and documenting changes in our Salesforce Best Practice document

Support restricted fundraising capacity across Philanthropy and Partners engagement functions

· Disseminate and train Philanthropy, Gaming and Partnerships teams on Restricted funding processes, identifying the best way to engage all team members to ensure all restricted proposals follow the grant management policy

· Provide support to Philanthropy, Gaming and Partnerships teams to ensure compliance with War child’s and donors requirements on Restricted funding opportunities

· Provide logistical support for staff travels, liaising with country teams, our Security Adviser and providers in line with our safe travel and finance procedures.

· Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to WCUK's Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

Overall purpose

The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.

You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. We are looking for a passionate individual who can get people excited about the work we do and who wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals from a refugee background. You will share our energy and determination, and will be attracted by the idea of working in a team with big ambitions, and in which you will have the opportunity to grow and develop. Supporter Operations Officer

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hours per week

As our organised and conscientious Supporter Operations Officer you will provide effective monitoring of our internal supporter response handling processes, including donation and query management, and bring to the role an understanding of regulations that affect the management of supporter data, and the processing of financial responses.

About the Team:
The Supporter Operations Team plays a central role in delivering an exceptional supporter experience, ensuring smooth internal and external fulfilment to maximise supporter engagement in order to meet our ambitious targets.
This role sits within the Supporter Operations sub-team, reporting into the Supporter Operations Manager. The Supporter Operations Team plays a central role in supporting our fundraising teams, to maximise supporter engagement and ensure that the fulfilment of our fundraising appeals, donor thanking and donation processes are carried out correctly and in compliance with all relevant regulations

About the Role:

In this role, you will manage the team’s workload, forecasting expected capacity to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly tasks are planned out and completed in accordance with set KPIs. As well as supporting the Supporter Operations Manager in monitoring & evaluating the performance of the Operations team using reports to investigate any unusual results/trends. 

You’ll also: 

• Bring to the role a keen understanding of supporter response handling, the intricacies of processing donations, Direct Debits, Gift Aid, and communication preferences
• Assist with due diligence processes within the wider SEO team, specifically focusing on internal data security practices, response handling accuracy, and adherence to relevant regulatory requirements such as those for Gift Aid or the BACS scheme for Direct Debits 
• Proactively identify processes for improvement across the Supporter Experience & Operations Team to deliver efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of internal procedures 

• Support campaign managers and other colleagues with any new or existing projects relating to fundraising operations, working closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clear and fully documented

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of Gift Aid, Direct Debit, Data protection and PCI-DSS compliance 
• Strong team player. Proven experience and/ or evidence of providing support/supervision/ training to team members
• Experience of documenting business processes, and comfortable with communicating and influencing a range of stakeholders
• Experience of income processing and donor response handling
• Excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel) with ability to analyse data accurately
• High attention to detail with ability to work methodically, ensuring minimal errors, and able to problem solve should errors arise 
• Ability to analyse fundraiser requirements, and capable of providing the best fulfilment solution working with internal stakeholders
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to listen, understand, analyse and resolve queries of a technical nature (incl. complex queries). Demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving with the ability to implement robust solutions, taking into account future requirements
• Excellent time management skills. Proven ability to manage & prioritise own workload, conflicting tasks/ deadlines effectively and successfully

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Fundraising and Lottery team. As the Lottery and Promotions Lead, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing innovative Lottery and Promotions campaigns that drive engagement and sales across Lincolnshire. Your primary focus will be on increasing our income generation from Lottery and Promotions activities, adapting to the challenging economic climate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout our Lincolnshire community and beyond to support the Charity’s Trust-wide Organisational and Income Generation Strategies for 2024-2029 in order to drive growth.
• Identify and seize business development opportunities to promote the Hospice Lottery across Lincolnshire.
• Increase sales of Lottery and Promotions products, including lottery memberships and raffles.
• Understand supporter motivations and tailor Lottery and Promotions activities to meet their needs.
• Manage an income target of circa £700, 000 across Lottery and Promotions products.
• You will be the primary contact for Lottery and Promotions advice, guidance, and support to ensure that activity is delivered to the highest standard, and levels of confidentiality and is compliant with Gambling and Charity legislation, including the Gambling Act 2005, GDPR, Fundraising Code of Practice and Gambling Commission

Qualifications and Experience:

Purpose of the job 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Fundraising team. UK Youth already works with a broad range of exciting corporate partners, including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, KFC, Burger King and RSA Insurance. This role focuses on identifying and securing new income generation opportunities with Corporate Partners across strategic, commercial and charity of the year style collaborations. 

Key responsibilities

• Lead and secure income from new corporate organisations and achieve new business targets
• Identify new corporate opportunities to add to the new business corporate pipeline
• Pro-actively engage new businesses using a range of methods: e.g. working with senior stakeholders, events, networking, cold calls, emails, LinkedIn
• Develop and strengthen warm relationships with prospective funders and find opportunities to engage them in the work of UK Youth
• Develop corporate bids, budgets and proposals, managing the process across different teams, cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Create and present high quality, persuasive funding bids to C-suite audiences and senior stakeholders
• Present and attend meetings alongside senior leaders and stakeholders at UK Youth
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to identifying new streams of income from different corporate audiences
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to develop the corporate partnerships offer beyond income generation, identifying opportunities for corporate partners to offer their skills and expertise to further UK Youth’s charitable objectives
• Ensure all donations are accurately recorded and recognised, working closely with the finance team
• Ensure that the CRM is up to date and accurate at all times
• Keep up to date with trends, research and data on fundraising and corporate partnerships, helping to inform long-term strategy

Experience we're after

• Demonstratable experience in a sales or corporate fundraising role, working on six – seven figure proposals
• Proven track record of corporate partnerships fundraising/ securing sales targets from new organisations
• Experience of working in a busy and deadline-driven environment and achieving ambitious targets
• Experience negotiating, pitching and presenting to senior (C-suite) internal and external stakeholders
