The social media Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping Musana’s online presence by leading creative initiatives, setting up digital fundraisers, collaborating with global teams, and managing our social media channels. Responsibilities:

Strategy:

Lead the social media strategy to build it out further and optimise as we go, which includes:

● Paid and organic social strategies and campaigns that align with our KPIs; Key KPIs include engagement, increase in audience, reach, key conversions

● Content creation management and scheduling for organic and paid social

● Influencer acquisition, contracts, and management

● Blog ideas and content management

● Support key leaders in the thought leadership sector

● Support for UK events

Creative Leadership:

● Lead creative development from the brand side with the content creation team, era92, based in Kampala, Uganda.

● Collaborate with the U.K. Director and U.S. Marketing Director to ensure all social media concepts are relevant, engaging, and aligned with Musana’s goals.

● Stay informed about events, activities, programs, and construction projects happening across Musana locations to share timely and relevant content.

● Build content will capture the attention of our audience and drive engagement. Work closely with internal and external teams to create content that captivates our audience within the first few seconds of viewing.

● Create campaigns, and own start to finish

○ Paid social strategy development and execution

○ Fundraising campaigns through live streaming, peer-to-peer fundraising, host virtual events, strategic ways to share blog content that pivots content into a fundraising effort etc.

● Engage with audiences and communities across social media platforms, responding to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.

● Initiate and participate in conversations with thought leaders, organisations, and key stakeholders to build relationships and enhance Musana’s online presence.

Reporting & Analytics:

● Track social media metrics and insights, providing detailed reports that outline success rates, trends, and areas for improvement.

● Track and report user journey from social to website through use of Google Analytics.

● Use data-driven insights to refine social media strategies and improve future campaigns.

Qualifications:

● Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field

● Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement

Supporter Operations Officer

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hours per week

About the Team:
The Supporter Operations Team plays a central role in delivering an exceptional supporter experience, ensuring smooth internal and external fulfilment to maximise supporter engagement in order to meet our ambitious targets.
This role sits within the Supporter Operations sub-team, reporting into the Supporter Operations Manager. The Supporter Operations Team plays a central role in supporting our fundraising teams, to maximise supporter engagement and ensure that the fulfilment of our fundraising appeals, donor thanking and donation processes are carried out correctly and in compliance with all relevant regulations

About the Role:

In this role, you will manage the team’s workload, forecasting expected capacity to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly tasks are planned out and completed in accordance with set KPIs. As well as supporting the Supporter Operations Manager in monitoring & evaluating the performance of the Operations team using reports to investigate any unusual results/trends. 

You’ll also: 

• Bring to the role a keen understanding of supporter response handling, the intricacies of processing donations, Direct Debits, Gift Aid, and communication preferences
• Assist with due diligence processes within the wider SEO team, specifically focusing on internal data security practices, response handling accuracy, and adherence to relevant regulatory requirements such as those for Gift Aid or the BACS scheme for Direct Debits 
• Proactively identify processes for improvement across the Supporter Experience & Operations Team to deliver efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of internal procedures 

• Support campaign managers and other colleagues with any new or existing projects relating to fundraising operations, working closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clear and fully documented

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of Gift Aid, Direct Debit, Data protection and PCI-DSS compliance 
• Strong team player. Proven experience and/ or evidence of providing support/supervision/ training to team members
• Experience of documenting business processes, and comfortable with communicating and influencing a range of stakeholders
• Experience of income processing and donor response handling
• Excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel) with ability to analyse data accurately
• High attention to detail with ability to work methodically, ensuring minimal errors, and able to problem solve should errors arise 
• Ability to analyse fundraiser requirements, and capable of providing the best fulfilment solution working with internal stakeholders
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to listen, understand, analyse and resolve queries of a technical nature (incl. complex queries). Demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving with the ability to implement robust solutions, taking into account future requirements
• Excellent time management skills. Proven ability to manage & prioritise own workload, conflicting tasks/ deadlines effectively and successfully

Human Practice Foundation (HPF) is searching for a UK Country Manager to join the team and further establish the organisation in this market. The charity’s mission is to work sustainably and holistically to build schools and bring 1,000,000 children into a safe and empowering educational environment, with a focus in Nepal and Kenya. 

The UK Country Manager will prioritise continuing the growth of the charity’s funds and will work with an existing network of trusts & foundations and philanthropic individuals, as well as continuing to spread HPF’s message.

Role purpose and dimensions:

• Design and implement a UK Fundraising Strategy, particularly aimed at foundations, institutions, corporates and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) in the UK, capable of delivering significant income growth over the next 3-5 years.
• Independently manage a portfolio of prospects and funders, as well as high level volunteers, with the capacity and propensity to give significant funds in support of HPF’s work. This will involve managing and meeting all application deadlines.
• Identify, research, qualify and manage a pipeline of funding prospects.
• Develop a range of funding proposals, pitches and appeals, to successfully solicit funds.
• Design and implement a donor cultivation and stewardship programme, including a combination of events, proposals, reporting, communications and visits.
• Network on behalf of the foundation, representing HPF at the highest levels and at a wide range of events, working with existing and developing new contacts to secure vital introductions.
• Oversee the governance of the UK operation, including all statutory reporting requirements.
• Regular narrative, financial and KPI reporting to the UK Board and to Copenhagen, including provision of board papers ahead of/ presentations at Board meetings.
• Contribute towards key global initiatives and projects, and lead on Foundations fundraising across HPF.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Senior fundraising professional with proven leadership skills and at least three-years’ experience in a not-for-profit organisation
• Strong track record of securing significant donations and grants from foundations and/or institutions (six-figures +). References will be required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of delivering successful funding applications, proposals and pitches
• Self-starter, able to operate independently, whilst also able to engage meaningfully in virtual team working with other senior colleagues.
• A proactive networker, able to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for HPF at the highest levels.
• Experienced relationship manager, able to build and maintain relationships with funders, as well as experience working with senior staff, board members and volunteers to cultivate donors.
• Demonstrable experience of setting and achieving ambitious fundraising strategies and plans.
• Able to work at both a strategic and operational level.
• Experience of working closely with and reporting to Boards of Trustees.

Desirable

• Strong affinity with HPF mission, values and approach. 
• Track record of securing significant funds from corporates and HNWIs 
• Understanding of charity/fundraising legislation and codes of practice.

Human Practice Foundation (HPF) is an International NGO, founded in Denmark in 2014 by former corporate lawyer and HPF CEO, Pernille Kruse Madsen. After witnessing the devastating fates of girls being trafficked from Nepal to India for sexual exploitation, Pernille decided to commit her life to providing education and opportunities for those who need it the most. 

Today, HPF has registered charities in Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK as well as independent NGOs in Nepal and Kenya. The organisation employs 90 people and follows a holistic community approach, using schools as a platform for change. The context for this role: 

This new position, created to lead HPF’s mission in the UK, and lead Trust and Foundation fundraising efforts globally, is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter to build on HPF’s success and grow its income from UK and international foundations, institutions and corporations, as well as UK-based high net worth individuals. 

HPF seeks a highly motivated, experienced and successful fundraising professional with the vision and skills to develop and deliver a new three-year fundraising strategy, taking UK income from £270k per annum to £500k+. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level, with no hesitation to roll up their sleeves and be ‘hands on’. 

Whilst the initial line management responsibilities are limited to high level volunteers, it is expected that the successful candidate will expand and shape the programme and team for the future.

• Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, corporate sponsors, and academic institutions. 

• Create opportunities for corporate and academic entities to support CWRC through sponsorships, employee giving programmes, or other philanthropic initiatives. 

Administration and Reporting 

• Maintain accurate records of all fundraising activities, donor interactions, and financial contributions. 

• Provide regular reports to the CEO and Finance Officer on fundraising progress and outcomes. 

• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal requirements and ethical standards.

Your key responsibilities will be flexible. You’ll manage your workload and set objectives, priorities and deadlines with the Head of Fundraising. Your work will include: 

• Partnerships Fundraising: You’ll lead and grow our partnerships fundraising portfolio by nurturing existing relationships and identifying new prospective partnerships. You will prepare proposals, pitches, and reports based on key funding needs, and implement stewardship plans to retain support, maximising partnership value. 

• Community Fundraising: You’ll manage community-based fundraising efforts, including coordinating with other organisations. Develop new community fundraising initiatives and engage volunteers, working to maintain an established network of volunteers which support community fundraising activities.

• Events Fundraising: You will manage our fundraising events, including the London Marathon. This will include recruitment, resourcing, relationship-building and supporting our event participants in their fundraising efforts. We are also excited for you to develop and oversee other innovative and profitable one-off events. 

• Fundraising Management: You will monitor and report on fundraising activities, manage relevant website pages, and ensure effective administration and record-keeping. You’ll need to stay abreast of industry trends and react accordingly to maximize opportunities.

Are you  an experienced major donor fundraiser with a track record of achieving significant gifts from HNWI, corporates and trusts? This is a challenging and demanding role, bringing together all major gift sources. Supported by a fundraising assistant, you will be responsible for delivering ambitious income targets from HNWI, corporates, trust and legacies. BCYP is seeking a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer who will design and implement a strategy to boost BCYP’s brand and support the efforts of clinicians and researchers’ projects. The candidate will also support the fundraising team through grassroots event management and the adoption of a small portfolio of donors. 

The applicant will have excellent communication skills able to translate the stakeholders’ (Trustees/clinicians/donors/young people) needs and broadcast them to the community. They must have hands-on skills creating and designing digital, print, and social media and the confidence to put their signature on a strong communications and marketing strategy that will maximize external partnerships.

Overall purpose

This is a key role that will work closely with the Senior Communications Manager, Head of Public Engagement and Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

You will contribute to the implementation of our communications, engagement and fundraising strategies, ensuring that your work is anchored in our organisational and team strategic goals. You will also be closely involved in team planning, whether it’s inputting into our operational plan or sharing ideas for new campaigns. 

There are opportunities to get hands-on developing and delivering communications and fundraising campaigns to educate and inspire individuals, businesses, and other audiences. The aim of these campaigns is to help remove barriers to employment for refugees and bring about systemic change via our partnerships. Please note, we do not currently run political campaigns.

You will be responsible for creating and delivering day-to-day communications across our owned channels (social media, email newsletters, and some website content). You will also help colleagues create content for earned and paid communications that they’re leading on (press and media, digital marketing, engagement with influencers)

A team player, you will build strong relationships across Breaking Barriers so that you can source and develop content that:

• increases our visibility and influence
• showcases our impact
• inspires members of the public to help refugees build new lives in the UK
• engages and stewards our key audiences, including corporate partners, employees who advocate for refugees, individual donors, volunteers, and people of a refugee background.

You will support the Senior Communications Manager to maintain our strong brand, ensuring that all our content complies with our brand guidelines and is of a high standard.

With a good eye for detail, you will play a key role in our data management, including overseeing data on the storytelling section of our CRM, monitoring communications enquiries, and setting up and running reports. You will become a Salesforce Superuser (full training and support will be provided for this).
