We now have an exciting opening for a Head of Media, PR & Editorial. The postholder will be responsible for developing and supporting key campaigns and strategies that help to promote and explain the work, impact, health messaging and funding needs to diverse audiences. You will achieve these through PR and media relations, awareness-raising campaign development, supporter stories, celebrity/ambassador management, and the management of a small team, including staff and specialist consultant support.
We are seeking an experienced communications professional with demonstrable expertise and a track-record of success in managing communications for a charity, health or science-related organisation, including developing successful media strategies, with positive press coverage, and writing clear, engaging copy for different audiences across digital and social media channels. The successful candidate will also have proven experience planning and managing multiple cross-departmental projects.

You will support the Finance Manager with day to day tasks, such as bank reconciliation, recording transactions in QuickBooks, responding to staff queries and budget template preparation. As a key member of the team, you will be the primary user of many existing processes, and will be able to identify when and how systems need developing or updating to be more efficient.

Charity People are working with a social welfare charity to find them a new Digital Projects Officer, to help project manage a range of digital initiatives and support with implementation and effectiveness of the charity's operations. Working in a small team, you will assist the Digital Projects Manager to identify opportunities for digital improvements with existing processes, and to upskill staff to use new and existing digital tools. You will help lead on digital projects for the charity, to help scope requirements, understand regulatory needs, costs, and advise on process and implementation. You will source, manage, and assess suppliers and agencies for digital projects.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player who thrives working as part of a small collaborative team and has strong experience of working successfully in a similar digital project's role for a large charitable organisation with recent knowledge of digital and fundraising innovations, best practice, and compliance requirements.
You will require an understanding of implementing large and complex digital projects including project scoping, and experience of analysing and reporting on KPIs to monitor service performance. Therefore, the team require someone who has worked in a digital projects role in the sector, who has the confidence to come in and take ownership of projects.
The role is set to start early October with interviews being held at the end of September.
Please note, the hourly rate will be based on the working arrangements. If the successful postholder requires remote working then the hourly rate is based on a salary of £32,590 per annum, if the candidate works two days per week in the London office, then the hourly rate would be based on £36,502 per annum.

The Head of Health & Safety is the lead and designated “competent person” for all health and safety matters, including fire safety at The Children’s Trust underpinning the three key work streams: “safe care,” “safe workplace” (including occupational health and well-being), and “safe retail and (fundraising) events”. The role holder has the authority to require the immediate cessation of any unsafe working practices.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

What we're looking for

Qualification as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales (practising or non practising).

Five years experience of working in a legal environment (including training contract or paralegal work).

At least five years group litigation experience with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Chance to Shine is an independent children’s charity. We change young people’s lives through cricket giving them the opportunity to play, learn and develop through the sport. We keep them physically active, teach them vital skills like teamwork, communication and leadership. And above all, they have fun.
Since 2005 our Chance to Shine Schools programme has helped reverse the decline of cricket in state schools with millions of boys and girls in over 13,000 state schools playing and learning through cricket. Chance to Shine Street supports young people in under-served communities to access and benefit from cricket in a free, inclusive, fun and fast-paced tape ball environment.
Purpose of the Role
A key part of Chance to Shine’s Communications department, this role will have help to drive awareness of the charity – communicating our mission, vision and messages to key audiences.
Principal Responsibilities
The Communications Officer will support include the following areas:
- To offer support on a range of diverse projects and events to increase the profile and awareness of Chance to Shine
- To help with the planning, execution and analysis of communications and marketing campaigns throughout the year
- To help manage the Chance to Shine brand internally and externally – including both written and visual brand guidelines
- Supporting the Director of Communications and Digital and the Fundraising team with the activation of corporate and funding partners
- Assisting with media liaison and monitoring including but not limited to:
Ø Managing the media contacts database
Ø Monitoring and organising media coverage
Ø Pitching stories to local print, online and broadcast media
Ø Managing relationships with designated media outlets
- To lead the charity’s application process for internal and external awards
- To help develop the Chance to Shine ambassador scheme; maintaining relationships and organising visits
- Supporting the Director of Communications and Digital in the production of key publications and documentation
- Support public affairs activities, including drafting letters, preparing lobbying documents, sharing information, and raising awareness of the charity
- To drive content and media activations with key partners such as the England and Wales Cricket Board and the Chance to Shine delivery network
- To help carry out any other tasks as required

Experience & qualifications
Essential:
· Track record of working across multiple projects, campaigns or media activations simultaneously

· Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Youth Action Wiltshire (YAW) is the youth arm of the award-winning charity Community First. We are looking for someone to manage the suite of YAW services, including Young Carers services, Splash, employability work, Youth Clubs Support and young people’s mental health programmes including BeMindful. The role
As Senior Programmes Officer you will closely with our peacebuilding partners to help deliver an ambitious new programme of work. 'Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System' will support local peacebuilders in Mali, Afghanistan, Sudan and eastern DRC to increase prospects for sustainable peace.
Through Local First, Peace Direct will work with policymakers and power holders, supporting them to understand the dysfunctions of the peacebuilding system, and find ways to better support locally-led peacebuilding.
This role is responsible for developing and managing partnerships within the four countries, with initial emphasis on Mali. You will work closely with our other SPOs who manage partnerships in the four countries, and create and manage opportunities to bring partners together to learn from one another. You will also support the development, coordination and delivery of Local First, working closely with the International Programmes Manager and Peace Direct’s Netherlands Office Representative.
We are looking for an experienced, passionate person who can:
- Coordinate and support partnerships with local peacebuilding actors based on mutual accountability and trust. This will require working proficiency in French as well as English.
- Support the management, coordination and delivery of a complex, multi-country programme across four conflict-affected countries
- Coordinate the development of new work in support of transforming the peacebuilding system in four focus countries
- Contribute to organisational learning and the roll-out of our learning loop

The Senior Volunteering Officer will help us to explore and develop new approaches to volunteering within the NHS. This role is focused on supporting our volunteers that are based within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust services across the North West London Community and to develop new volunteering roles that focus on health challenges within the community.
You’ll provide a high quality experience to volunteers that are located within our community sites, by working with Trust staff and partner organisations to develop new roles that improve the experience to our patients within these clinical services, to identify new locations and roles, to develop our volunteering offer within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
This role will work with the Trust to develop new approaches to volunteering, with a particular focus on designing, launching and evaluating volunteer roles that could bring system change to wider health inequalities.
Additionally, you’ll focus on our volunteer community, ensuring that our volunteer community is as representative of the wider population, and seek to engage groups with a particular focus on the Core20plus5 groups.
Main Tasks:
Provide leadership and support to enable a high quality volunteering experience within Trust Services within the North West London Community
Work in partnership with wider charity teams, to identify areas to link up work around the population health programme of work and identify appropriate volunteering opportunities
Working in partnership with the volunteering team, provide tools and approaches to understand our volunteer community.
