This is an exciting time to join the Museum as we have secured investment from the UK Government to build a new science and digitisation centre at Thames Valley Science Park, University of Reading.  The purpose-built centre will house much of the Museum's collection and will include laboratories, digitisation suites, collaborative research spaces, conservation labs and workspaces.

Working closely with colleagues across the Philanthropy team you will support the team in the Patrons, Legacy and High-net-worth individual (HNWI) income streams and manage your own portfolio of Legators and HNWIs. You will focus on the administration and stewardship of the Patrons Circle and Legacy programme, account management for your portfolio of donors, data management and supporting the wider team on identifying and approaching new potential donors.

You will work closely with colleagues in the Philanthropy team and wider Development Group across varied income streams whilst also building successful working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the Museum. You will maintain a high level of organisation and excellent communication to build meaningful relationships with donors to the greatest value for the whole Museum.

The role will be line-managed by the Patrons Manager with guidance from the Philanthropy Manager (Legacies & HNWI) and Senior Philanthropy Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Patrons Circle

· Support the Patrons Manager with the administration of the Patrons Circle, including delivery of the events programme, drafting newsletters, event invitations, renewal reminders, thank you letters and welcome packs.

• Support the Patrons Manager to monitor the Patrons inbox for queries and event RSVPs, resolving any requests from Patrons, logging RSVPs or escalating them to the Patrons Manager as appropriate.

· Laise with Membership and Marketing teams to integrate Patron, Member and Visitor communications and benefit delivery.

Legacy and HNWI administration and pipe-line development

• Support the Philanthropy Manager (Legacies & HNWI) with the delivery of Legacy events programme and day to day administration of the Legacy programme, including administering new bequests via Smee and Ford notifications.Steward and cultivate a warm portfolio of 50 Legacy pledgers and lower-level donors by drafting day-to-day communications, marketing emails, writing stewardship reports and sending event invitations.

· Support the wider team by planning and cultivating prospective Legators and lower-level donors under the supervision of the Philanthropy Manager (Legacies & HNWI) and Patrons Manager.

General

· Ensure that Raisers Edge is updated regularly and in line with the requirements for each event or activity and work closely with key database managers to ensure records are kept up to date.

· Support the Senior Philanthropy Manager and wider Philanthropy team with meeting, visit and event organisation, including, supporting the delivery of events and writing briefings ahead of donor meetings.

· Support the wider Philanthropy team with Raiser’s Edge data- inputting and gift administration, including gift processing, acceptance and due diligence forms.

· Deputise for Patrons Manager and Philanthropy Manager (Legacies & HNWI) on designated accounts in order to handle day-to-day requests and flow of information, arrangements for meetings and thanking.

Are you  an experienced major donor fundraiser with a track record of achieving significant gifts from HNWI, corporates and trusts? This is a challenging and demanding role, bringing together all major gift sources. Supported by a fundraising assistant, you will be responsible for delivering ambitious income targets from HNWI, corporates, trust and legacies. You will need excellent communication and networking skills and be able to produce high quality, imaginative and compelling presentations, proposals, letters and pitches. You will also be responsible for our individual giving and fundraising in the community by directing and supporting the fundraising assistant. 

We're looking for two experienced bid and/or fundraising professionals to join our team as Bid and Fundraising Manager (internally known as Development Manager) on a permanent basis.

You'll be responsible for the development of a portfolio of donor relationships and will work across all parts of the proposal process from prospect research all the way through to submissions. As Development Manager, you'll work alongside the Associate Directors of Development to support their work in leading a range of funding opportunities. This includes central government contracts, local authority bids, corporate partnerships, and grants from trusts and foundations.

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Associate Director, Development.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a good understanding of funding/proposal preparation processes and experience in securing funding opportunities in the range of £50k-£100k.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of successfully cultivating relationships with funders such as trust, foundations, local authorities, corporates and major donors.

Whilst experience of securing funding from research institutions and knowledge of England's education and charity sectors are desirable, it is not essential for applying to this role.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Income Generation and Engagement Team as an Assistant Community Fundraiser!

 

As an Assistant Community Fundraiser, you will play an integral part in supporting the Community Fundraising team to reach their annual income target. You will oversee the running of the Edinburgh fundraising office, including stock management and managing a small team of volunteers. You will help support the team by co-ordinating supporter and volunteer communications, and attend fundraising events when required.

Job Purpose

Support the Fundraising Manager in the successful delivery of fundraising activities in line with Bipolar Scotland’s ambitious strategy and business plan.

Summary

The Fundraising Officer will play an integral part in the success of our small but vibrant national charity by maximising income from Corporate and Community based stakeholders. The post holder will focus primarily on developing corporate engagement, sponsorship and donations, but will also grow our Community fundraising arm and support the work of other income streams. Job Purpose: We are looking to recruit an empathic, warm, friendly, hard-working and flexible person who is passionate about improving young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health. Salary: £ 26,000 - £29,120

Hours of work: 35 hours per week. Working pattern is Monday 12:30am-8:30pm, Tuesday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Wednesday 10.30am to 6:30pm, Thursday 9:00am -5:00pm, Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm.

Location: Phoenix Youth Centre plus working across locations in East Surrey as necessary.

Main Responsibilities:

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) and Harris Hill are working in partnership to recruit a new Fundraising Coordinator. The London Fire Commissioner is the fire and rescue authority for London. This role is vital for the organisation and will be working closely with the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to raise vital funding.

Location: London or access to London. 2 days a week in the office.

Why this role is so pivotal:

Successful fundraising and the development of long-term strategic partnerships enables LFB to support its staff and work more efficiently. This role will i dentify and develop innovative opportunities to generate income to fund the London Fire Brigade Museum and other suitable LFB projects which align with LFB's Communications and Engagement Strategy. In particular, this includes addressing mental health and wellbeing, reaching new audiences, sourcing income generation and supporting engagement with the communities LFB serves.

What are the key responsibilities:

* To write funding proposals and develop major donor and sponsorship packages.
* Work on large Fundraising Projects with the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager
* Developing innovative new ways to acquire funding
* To cultivate close relationships with various departments across London Fire Brigade and identifying opportunities for potential fundraising and sponsorship partnerships.

* Experience of being a relationship fundraiser with at least 3 years' experience
* Proven fundraising experience and a successful track record of raising income.

About the role

We need someone to come and join us to focus on Corporate Fundraising. You’ll have a track record of fundraising which has resulted in significant donations.  You’ll need to meet challenging targets through a wide variety of methods - donations, sponsorships, GAYE, CSR/ESG, cause related marketing, Charity of the Year, employee fundraising, match funding and long-term strategic partnerships as well as develop our Celebrity Ambassadors and stewardship.  This role should excite and drive you to succeed.

Key information:

Job Purpose  

To maximise income for Village Water’s work from corporates (UK and International) & to develop and manage your own portfolio of existing corporates and research and prioritise new opportunities ensuring high quality stewardship to secure ongoing support. This role will focus on networking, delivering compelling pitches to corporates, organise and support corporate fundraising events, preparing high-quality funding applications and reports, providing exceptional account management, and fostering cross-team collaboration. 

Responsibilities  

Corporate Fundraising 

• Develop, implement, and sustain a dynamic corporate fundraising portfolio, maintaining a well-organised pipeline of funding opportunities. 

• Attend and contribute to networking events, while actively organising events to foster relationships with new and existing corporate donors. 

• Identify and pursue corporate funding opportunities by aligning proposals with companies' ESG policies, emphasising shared values and potential partnerships. 

• Establish and nurture relationships with Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) to unlock new support avenues. 

• Work closely with colleagues to develop compelling proposals and reports that effectively communicate the organisation's impact and funding needs. 

• Coordinate with monitoring and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, adhering to grant conditions and budget requirements. 

• Maintain precise and well-managed donor information in the organisation’s database to facilitate efficient tracking and follow-up. 

• Organise pop-up events for and with corporate partners to enhance engagement and visibility. 

• Support fundraising team with social media content ideas that highlight our activities and showcases the impact. 

General   

• Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, external suppliers, and local partners to advance organisational goals. 

• Participate in and report during weekly team meetings and, when necessary, at Trustee meetings. 

• Provide assistance for other fundraising initiatives as needed, promoting a collaborative work environment and supporting the overall fundraising efforts of the organisation. 

• Ensure compliance with the organisation's safeguarding policies by completing all required training. 

Skills and experience: 

• Demonstrated ability to secure funds from new corporate partners, with experience in winning awards exceeding £10,000. 

• Confident and skilled in delivering presentations to a diverse range of supporters, whether in groups, individually, in person, or remotely. 

• Proven experience in crafting persuasive cases for support and donor updates that motivate giving. 

• Expertise in building and maintaining strong donor relationships to ensure sustained support. 

• Strong writing skills for creating compelling cases for support and effectively presenting the organisation’s work to potential donors. 

• Ability to develop, analyse, and interpret budgets and financial information. 

• Proficient in using databases for fundraising performance analysis.

As Trusts and Statutory Executive, you will work alongside a supportive team including the Fundraising Manager and Senior Fundraising Manager, and you will be overseen by the Head of Trusts and Statutory. This is an excellent role where you’ll manage your own portfolio of trusts and statutory supporters at 4-5 figure level and given exposure to manage 6 figure accounts. You’ll be a key member in the team in cultivating high-value relationships to generate income for various programmes to support the National Literacy Trust.

As Trusts and Statutory Executive, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of trust and statutory funders at 4-5 figure level supporting a team target of £6m
• Research, identify and cultivate new charitable trust grant funders to build the funding pipeline
• Manage and grow an existing pipeline of charitable trusts, with a focus on increasing grant giving
• Lead on small and medium-value funding applications and reapplications across NLT’s programmes

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Fundraising experience in trusts, corporate, community development, education or health charity
• Knowledge of fundraising principles, and the relationship between prospecting, cultivation, application and stewardship to secure regular and multi-annual grants
• Excellent written and spoken communications, including attention to detail and ability to write a compelling case’s for support
• Experience of building strong relationships and working collaboratively

Your New Role

As a Management Accountant, you will support the fundraising team, including team leaders, managers, and the Director, with budgeting and forecasting. Your key responsibilities will include providing financial analysis, budget support, and financial planning. You will prepare management accounts, conduct variance analysis, and assist with the annual budget process. Additionally, you will monitor actual performance against budget, forecast for the year, and prepare journal adjustments, month-end accruals, and prepayments.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Significant experience in Management Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in the month-end process.
• Experience in preparing and posting journal entries (standard journals, accruals).
• Strong ability to communicate with and present information to senior management and provide advice to non-financial budget holders.
• Ideally, you are a qualified accountant or very close to qualification.

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you’ll create opportunities for our amazing supporters to connect with and drive our work through various means of individual giving. You'll create engaging communucations, ensuring that our donors feel valued and understand the impact they're having on babies and their families, and you'll develop key appeals and individual giving activity to drive growth in these income streams.

You will:

1. Manage the development of individual giving income streams, including legacy giving, regular giving, one-off gifts, in memory giving and new products
2. Co-ordinate key engagement activity, such as the annual supporter Thankathon and Impact Report
3. Oversee administration and stewardship of individual giving income
4. Manage the promotion, sale and distribution of Lullaby Trust merchandise

This role can be offered as a hybrid role (with approximately one day per week in our London office) or fully remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings or staff days as necessary; the two salary ranges above reflect this. The 21 hours could be worked across 3-5 days per week.
