This is a truly exciting time to be joining Fauna & Flora’s Fundraising Team. Over the past three years we have established a fundraising programme that is going from strength to strength. More people than ever are choosing to support our work, and as a result our donor base is rapidly growing.

The focus on nurturing relationships with these donors and providing an excellent experience is a strategic priority. We are seeking an individual with excellent supporter care skills who can help us to build excellent relationships with our supporters and has a real affinity with the work that we do. Your role will involve responding to supporter requests, questions and queries from a range of communication channels, including email and phone, helping to deliver a first-class supporter experience. This frontline role is contributing to the development of the fundraising team to reach unrestricted income targets.

You will report directly to the Director of Supporter Marketing, and work closely with the Database team on a range of activities.

You will have excellent customer service skills and previous experience in a similar role. You will be well organised with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Summary

This is an exciting time for the Philanthropy and Partnerships team as we develop a rich and evolving portfolio of strategic projects that will appeal to a wide range of funders. As the Trusts and Statutory Officer, you'll play a crucial role in driving fundraising for our new strategic focus on key priorities identified by people living with diabetes. You'll be responsible for bringing in income of circa £200,000 for the Trusts and Statutory team from a high-volume portfolio, with a view to increasing its value year on year.

Main Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the small trusts portfolio to maximise income generation (circa 200k), submitting bids under £20k and stewarding funders. You'll work closely with the Partnership Manager and the Prospect Research and Data Officer to identify funders and submit compelling proposals that accurately reflect both funder criteria and organisational funding priorities.

You'll work with colleagues across the charity to ensure grant conditions are met and deliver excellent stewardship practices.

Ideal Candidate

You'll be a highly organised individual, with experience of managing and delivering a high-volume trust portfolio.

You'll have excellent communication skills and will be able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively. Your naturally collaborative approach to team working is balanced by accountability and a proactive, independent attitude.

Your role

War Child is sector leading with our heritage, connections, and relationships in the world of music, gaming, and events. We want to dramatically grow income from trusts, foundations and institutional donors in the UK market and we are looking for a motivated Trusts & Institutional Funding Executive to support the new Trusts and Institutional Funding team to reach more children than ever.

A member of the Philanthropy and Partner Engagement team, you will report into the Institutional Funding Lead whilst working closely with the regional teams, the country teams, the War Child Alliance team and all relationship managers within the Philanthropy and Partner engagement team.

Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative, and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes, by ensuring compliance with quality and donor requirements, contributing to effective risk management, providing support for the different donor accounts and ensuring processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient. The role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Your responsibilities

Support to secure funding from institutional and trust donors

· Monitor and share potential funding opportunities with the relevant Donor Account Managers within the Trusts and Institutional Funding team and within the War Child Alliance with countries, regional and global teams

· Develop donor profiles by conducting research on potential donors, including their funding focus, giving history, and connections to War Child. Utilise a variety of resources to gather comprehensive information.

· Plan and prepare meetings with donors by collaborating with senior colleagues and stakeholders to determine strategic objectives and key messages. Coordinate logistical details, such as scheduling, venue selection, and materials preparation, to ensure smooth and productive meetings. Join senior colleagues in donor meetings and engagement opportunities when necessary.

· Support with the submission of concept notes, proposals (including Go-NoGo, internal approvals, donor vetting, due diligence, administrative documents) and reports. This includes conducting research on donors for vetting, coordinating with all internal stakeholders to organise a Go-NoGo decision, securing internal approvals in line with our Authorisation matrix, and liaising internally to gather relevant administrative documents and information).

· Work with War Child Alliance colleagues (including the Alliance Institutional Funding team, Country Directors, Regional teams and War Child NL colleagues) to support the creation of cases for support and capacity statements as required for UK donors to engage prospective donors and potential consortia partners.

· Collect information, provide access to and manage administrative data on donor databases and donor portals. Update our profile as required to ensure we are ready to submit proposals in a timely manner.

Strengthen internal capacities for Trusts & Institutional fundraising

· Support the implementation of internal grant management processes, ensuring compliance with our Grant Management Manual as well as compliance with GDPR and fundraising regulations

· Ensure accuracy of data in our grant management and Finance systems, including coding and alignment with our Finance policy and update data as required to ensure reports are accurate, up-to-date and insightful

· Prepare Salesforce reports, circulate with relevant stakeholders and analyse them to identify areas of success, issues and patterns, helping the team to make informed decision for future plans and strategies  

· Liaise with and support the Alliance to support IATI (the International Aid Transparency Initiative) reporting as required, providing grant information and administrative documents

· Ensure compliant and organised information filing on Sharepoint to facilitate access to relevant information for all War Child staff and ensure smooth collaboration.

Improve work processes and disseminate information

· Identify gaps or bottlenecks in internal processes and propose ways for improvement, including developing tools and templates where necessary

· Facilitate work processes, provide guidance to the team and coordinate with the wider War Child Alliance to facilitate the sharing and improve the quality of information

· Support with improvement of Salesforce, coordinating with the Trusts & Institutional Funding team, Finance team and data team to identify any gaps in the system, suggesting ideas and documenting changes in our Salesforce Best Practice document

Support restricted fundraising capacity across Philanthropy and Partners engagement functions

· Disseminate and train Philanthropy, Gaming and Partnerships teams on Restricted funding processes, identifying the best way to engage all team members to ensure all restricted proposals follow the grant management policy

· Provide support to Philanthropy, Gaming and Partnerships teams to ensure compliance with War child’s and donors requirements on Restricted funding opportunities

· Provide logistical support for staff travels, liaising with country teams, our Security Adviser and providers in line with our safe travel and finance procedures.

· Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to WCUK's Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

You are

The Role:

Funded by the National Lottery, this role is new for YCC, coming at a key point in our organisational development.

Whether you’re an experienced fundraiser or new to the business, to be successful in this role you’ll need to be passionate about support for carers and the need for change, either through your own lived experience as a carer or through your ability to empathise with people in unpaid caring roles.

Either way, you’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and be a quick learner when it comes to giving people the best possible opportunities to give and fundraise in support of our vision for unpaid carers.

There are no formal qualifications for this role. Experience of fundraising is desirable, but we also recognise the value of skills developed in other jobs and aspects of life. Location: Hybrid working part London Office (Islington, London) part home work. The post holder will work a minimum of one day per week in the office.

Salary: £34,525 per annum

This role is integral to the delivery of our ambitious Mass Participation fundraising budget. As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser, you’ll work as part of the Public Fundraising team responsible for managing a portfolio of Individual Giving campaigns from inception through to evaluation to generate funds, improve engagement and increase life-time value of existing supporters.

Permanent, 35 hours per week

Location: Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW with working from home most of the time. 

The role 

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for project leading on our retention campaigns, coordinating with a number of different stakeholders, both internal and externally.

• Be expected to manage budgets

• Provide a data and insight-led, audience-focused and rewarding supporter journey that maximises lifetime value of the supporter.

• Work with the Supporter Retention Lead to deliver campaigns against agreed budgets

• Be an excellent fundraiser with vast experience managing large scale retention campaigns, including but not limited to direct mail, tele-fundraising and digital.

Cambridge Women's Resources Center (CWRC) is dedicated to empowering women through support, education, advocacy, and access to vital resources. We offer a safe and supportive space for women to develop skills, build community, and overcome barriers.

As we prepare for our annual Christmas campaign, we are seeking a proactive Community Fundraiser to help us secure the funding needed to continue our vital work. 

This post is for 18 hours a week with flexibility around working pattern and hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities

Christmas Campaign Coordination 

• Plan, develop, and execute the annual Christmas fundraising campaign. 

• Create compelling messaging and materials to engage potential donors. 

• Coordinate with our team to ensure cohesive and effective campaign delivery. 

• Track and report on campaign progress, making adjustments as necessary to achieve fundraising goals. 

Donor Engagement and Outreach 

• Identify and engage potential donors from the public, corporate, and academic sectors. 

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing donors, ensuring regular communication and recognition of their support. 

• Craft tailored proposals and pitches to secure both one-time and regular donations. 

• Organise and attend fundraising events and activities to promote the centre and engage with the community. 

Regular Giving and High-Value Donors 

• Develop strategies to increase the number of regular givers, ensuring steady and reliable income streams. 

• Identify and cultivate relationships with high-value donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations. 

• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, moving them through the solicitation cycle from identification to stewardship. 

Corporate and Academic Partnerships 

• Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, corporate sponsors, and academic institutions. 

• Create opportunities for corporate and academic entities to support CWRC through sponsorships, employee giving programmes, or other philanthropic initiatives. 

Administration and Reporting 

• Maintain accurate records of all fundraising activities, donor interactions, and financial contributions. 

• Provide regular reports to the CEO and Finance Officer on fundraising progress and outcomes. 

• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal requirements and ethical standards. 

Are you  an experienced major donor fundraiser with a track record of achieving significant gifts from HNWI, corporates and trusts? This is a challenging and demanding role, bringing together all major gift sources. Supported by a fundraising assistant, you will be responsible for delivering ambitious income targets from HNWI, corporates, trust and legacies. You will need excellent communication and networking skills and be able to produce high quality, imaginative and compelling presentations, proposals, letters and pitches. You will also be responsible for our individual giving and fundraising in the community by directing and supporting the fundraising assistant. 

We're looking for two experienced bid and/or fundraising professionals to join our team as Bid and Fundraising Manager (internally known as Development Manager) on a permanent basis.

You'll be responsible for the development of a portfolio of donor relationships and will work across all parts of the proposal process from prospect research all the way through to submissions. As Development Manager, you'll work alongside the Associate Directors of Development to support their work in leading a range of funding opportunities. This includes central government contracts, local authority bids, corporate partnerships, and grants from trusts and foundations.

We would like you to:

• Contribute to and deliver successful strategies for securing funding opportunities, pinpointing key differentiators, understanding funders’ specific requirements and ensuring those are met 
•  Support the Associate Directors to develop, maintain and manage the pipeline, using research, analysis and planning skills. 
• Formulate and script high-quality bid responses and create high-quality proposal documents
• Work cross-organisationally to identify and assemble a team of SMEs (internal and external) to scope, define and capture the information required to prepare funding proposals 

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Associate Director, Development.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a good understanding of funding/proposal preparation processes and experience in securing funding opportunities in the range of £50k-£100k.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of successfully cultivating relationships with funders such as trust, foundations, local authorities, corporates and major donors.

Whilst experience of securing funding from research institutions and knowledge of England's education and charity sectors are desirable, it is not essential for applying to this role.

If you can demonstrate team leadership skills and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-moving environment, managing multiple competing priorities and a complex workload whilst meeting deadlines effectively, we welcome an application from you.
