Responsibilities and Person Specification:
The Team Administrator supports our in-house Studio team with the administration and delivery of our content through the design, print and digital processes.
You will have excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills. You will have the ability to work under pressure to prioritise, deliver, manage, and coordinate several projects and activities simultaneously to tight timescales. You should also understand design and production best practice, processes and techniques across both online and offline formats.

As the Peer to Peer Groupwork Facilitator you will set up, lead and deliver a year-long peer to peer group programme for bereaved families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child.
The groupwork is based on a programme led by Harvard University and Boston’s Children’s hospital and has structured sessions drawing upon psychological model of CBT, although the sessions are not therapeutic. Each session has a theme and incorporates education, guidance and support.
You will establish and deliver a new peer online support group, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery and creating a safe and welcoming space for bereaved families.
Outside the group sessions you will be responsible for managing the administration and evaluation of the service, including and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.

The Role

The key duties of this Head of Finance are as follows:
- Prepare annual global organisation budgets by entity, business unit and project.

Just a Drop brings sustainable safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects to communities, transforming lives.
Background to the role
AUKEL recruited a new Chief Executive in April 2023, and a new chair in February 2024. In March 2024 we published an ambitious five year strategy which sets out how we want to increase the extent we meet the needs of older people in East London. We have a number of organisational transformation objectives which underpin the strategy; these are things we need to do to strengthen our foundations (following a period of rapid growth) and equip us to deliver safe effective services, at scale, across our footprint.
We are looking for someone to join our team to work with the Service Director to lead the transformation of our Hospital and Home services. These:
- Currently are provided at four hospitals broadly covering four boroughs: Homerton (Hackney), Newham (Newham), The Royal London (Tower Hamlets), Whipps Cross (Waltham Forest). And are staffed by 16 AUKEL employees – three co-ordinators, two project officers, 10 support workers, and an administrator.
- Homerton and The Royal London are jointly commissioned until end March 2029. Newham has been extended to the end of June 2026. Whipps Cross is due to be re-procured, with a short extension under consideration, we aim to jointly bid for this with our neighbouring AUKs.
- Assist vulnerable adults in getting home from hospital, carrying out safety checks in the home, give advice on practical and wellbeing matters, and visiting regularly for a period of four to six weeks after discharge
- Are commissioned based on meeting pre-agreed targets for the number of referrals accepted, and are fully embedded into the hospital discharge system.
- Typically include provision of handyperson services, which is operationally delivered separately by three handypeople.
- Include our (paid for) Home and Care service which is delivered separately to our hospital discharge services, and currently supports c. 40 individuals.

Job Purpose
The Head of Hospital and Home Services will work with the Director on strategic and operational planning and provide operational leadership for the range of Hospital and Care services delivered by Age UK East London. This role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of significant organisational change, to make an impact at a local level, and ensure that older people’s needs are recognised and met effectively. The purpose of this role is to:
· Take responsibility for the delivery of the Hospital and Home service, ensuring its delivery requirements are met and we are responsive to new opportunities.
· Manage and maintain good relationships with commissioners and professionals in the local health and social care system.
· Lead a programme of structural and cultural change in the Hospital and Home service:
- Review the service staffing and delivery arrangements, assessing which services need allocated staff and which would be better delivered by a central team.
- Introduce processes and embed good practice in case recording, reporting and data collection.
- Motivate and engage a dispersed workforce, developing a supportive and flexible culture with consistent service standards.
- Ensure that older people who are supported by the Hospital and Home team also benefit from the range of AUKEL services and those provided by other local partners.
· Ensure the hospital discharge service, the handyperson service and the home and care (paid for service) work together efficiently and effectively.
· Address performance issues in the Home and Care (paid for service), working with senior colleagues (in communications, finance and HR) to develop a financially sustainable model.
· Work with senior leaders across AUKEL, contributing your experience and expertise to problem solve, spot and develop opportunities as well as make an impact on our overall organisational development journey.
As the role develops or AUKEL begins delivering new services, the scope of the role may expand. The post holder will need to:
· Use sophisticated interpersonal and influencing skills to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders including commissioners, partner providers, senior health and social care professionals, operational staff, volunteers and service users / patients, and maintain AUKEL’s profile with these audiences.

Contract type
This contracted post is for 35 hours per week. We welcome application for flexible working including reduced hours and other flexible working arrangements.

Salary
Between £41,200 and £46,350 Plus 5% employer pension contribution.

As a Support Advisor working full time or part time, you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery of the RISE programmes and the development of the service. The service will provide a range of trauma-informed and person-centred support, focused on supporting those impacted by abuse to access education, training, employment or volunteering.
You will be responsible for providing trauma informed support through group work and 1-1 support. Working part time or full time alongside a team of practitioners across our geographical patch in Gloucester, providing support to Bristol and North Wilts as required, the project aims to:
- Increase volunteers in FearFree and support people to access volunteering opportunities externally.
- Support individuals impacted by abuse to access training and employment.
- Help people access bespoke apprenticeships and internships.

You will be working within our Housing team to deliver an effective advice service for young people. You should be experienced in delivering housing advice within a youth and community or other relevant setting, of supporting clients with multiple and complex needs, and have a proven track record of referring and progressing vulnerable people into suitable accommodation. You will work a combination of office, client-home, community, and home-based working. Causeway is a 4-day week employer, so you will work 32 hours over 4 days a week. The Role
To provide a high-quality housing management service, ensuring outstanding customer service and service delivery, by a being a primary point of contact for tenants. Engage with tenants to provide a responsive efficient housing management service that is consistently excellent for all tenancies. Housing Officers are expected to carry out the vast majority of their duties (70%) at our managed accommodation.

You will be working within our Housing team to deliver an effective resettlement service for young people. You should be experienced in in working with young people within a housing setting and have the ability to demonstrate transferable knowledge and skills in relation to homelessness and move-on pathways.
Key details
- Contract type and hours: 12 month fixed term contract. Full-time - 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
- Salary: The starting salary for the role is £31,200. The salary scale is £31,200 to £34,736 pro rata.
- Location: Based at New Horizon Youth Centre, 68 Chalton Street, London, NW1 1JR but travel to different sites across London on a regular basis will be required.

Key objectives:
- To deliver an effective transition and resettlement service to young people accessing New Horizon Youth Centre, carrying out thorough needs assessments and support plans, and enabling young people to transition successfully from homelessness to independence.
- Establishing and sourcing an innovative programme of support that responds to clients’ accommodation, employment, educational, communication, independent living skills and move-on needs in order to break the cycle of homelessness.
- To maintain and build an effective and innovative network of relationships with relevant external stakeholders, partners, accommodation providers and internal specialists.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Young people's services
Delivering a resettlement service to young people with multiple needs. This will include:
- Working to ensure young people receive a high-quality service from the point of registration to the move-on. Taking a hands-on approach to dealing with complex or difficult cases and ensuring the quality of support plans to create opportunities to promote independence.
- Managing a caseload of internally referred clients with additional needs as they transition out of homelessness, ensuring that the necessary support structures are in place to facilitate successful tenancy sustainment.
- Carrying out thorough needs assessments and putting in place support plans with young people accessing the resettlement programme.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on Accommodation, Welfare Benefits, Housing Benefit and Tenancy rights, Legal Services, and Employment, Education & Training. Monitoring and evaluating young people’s progress.
- Building and maintaining effective partnerships with accommodation providers and external stakeholders, in addition to cultivating and strengthening existing relationships.
- Referring young people to other internal New Horizon Youth Centre teams in order to support their progression, including Health and Jobs, Education and Training.
- Providing advocacy and referring young people to a wide range of specialist external services including around advocacy, substance misuse, mental health, immigration, counselling, financial/debt advice, and legal services.
- Attending regular briefings, team meetings, reflective practice and clinical supervision, both with NHYC and project partners. Ensuring that Health and Safety or safeguarding issues are addressed at all times.
Sharing best practice -
To proactively share best practice with internal and external stakeholders in order to maximise the impact of the work of NHYC. This will include:
- Identifying and acting to maximise NHYC’s profile by seeking out and responding to opportunities with specialists and agencies who might offer resources, funding, or individual services relevant to client needs.
- Promoting and representing NHYC at relevant forums, meetings and events.

Information management
To produce and maintain accurate and useful information in a range of formats in order to promote effective service delivery and evaluation. This will include:
- Recording all contacts with clients appropriately and maintaining all relevant files and recording systems.
- Producing written reports in a variety of formats to meet the requirements of NHYC, external service providers and funders, e.g., project reviews and assessment reports.
- Inputting and extracting information from client monitoring systems and other accounting and database systems. Utilising other relevant software for the production of reports.
- Being self-servicing in day-to-day administration, and following team and NHYC’s administrative procedures.

Reviewing personal and professional development needs
To be proactive in reviewing and evaluating own performance and identifying and acting upon areas for improvement. This will include:
- Reviewing and evaluating own performance to identify strengths and areas for development. Identifying own learning/development needs and opportunities.
- Undertaking development and training opportunities and being responsible for obtaining maximum benefit through review, reflection and practice.
- Taking a proactive approach to supervision including regular line management supervision, team meetings, team reflective practice and clinical supervision.
Other -
To contribute positively and constructively to the development of the team, the service and the centre. This will include:
- Covering for other members of the team where necessary.
- Following NHYC’s policies, procedures and performance expectations in all functions of the post.
- Undertaking as required any other duties compatible with the level and nature of the post and/or reasonably required by the Service Manager, Head of Services, Director of Operations or CEO.
