In 2025 Oxford will open its new home for humanities, the state-of-the-art Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. This is an opportunity to join the University’s Humanities Development team as we work to secure philanthropic support for scholarships, academics and the capital project.

We are looking for a new fundraiser to join our energetic team to raise major gifts for a range of posts, scholarships, and other priorities across the Humanities.  Oxford is the world’s leading university for humanities teaching and research. When it opens, the Schwarzman Centre will bring together seven faculties from the division under one roof for the first time. The University’s scholarship in languages, literature, history, philosophy, religion & the arts – from the earliest civilisation to the present day – enriches our understanding of humankind, and informs how we engage with historic issues and contemporary concerns.

 About the Role

This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships, and access and outreach in the academic faculties as well as securing support for the activities of the Cultural Programme and Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.

 To Be Successful You’ll Need:

• To be an experienced development professional with a track record of securing major gifts and the ability to secure gifts in the range of £100,000 to £500,000
• Confidence to work with people from a range of backgrounds, both internally and externally
• The ability to think creatively in prospecting, cultivation and stewardship

Salary:

Grade 7: £36,024 - £44,263 per annum with a possible extension to £48,350 - with an Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per year (pro rata).

The Role: As the Refuge Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored emotional and practical support to women and children living in our refuge. You'll work closely with a small caseload of women, helping them rebuild their lives, navigate their support plans, and move towards independent living. Your work will range from providing safety advice and emotional support to practical assistance like securing move-on housing, advocating with other agencies, and coordinating resettlement support. You’ll also ensure the smooth operation of the refuge, maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. This year we will be fundraising towards a new Same Day Emergency Care Centre, providing an unrivalled experience for our patients and their families. 

About the role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Corporate Partnerships Team. Reporting into the Corporate Partnerships Manger, the post holder will work with the Corporate Partnerships Team to deliver the corporate fundraising strategy. 

The post holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partnerships, stewarding supporters, organising and managing corporate events as well as supporting with content for corporate partner communications. 

Key Responsibilities will include: 

• To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.

• Income generation.

• Management of your own portfolio of corporate accounts which includes providing outstanding donor stewardship to maximise supporter experience, engagement and funds raised. 

• Organise, manage and execute our corporate fundraising and engagement events such as our Dragon Boat Festival and Golf Day. 

• To work together as a team to grow corporate fundraising income through current partnerships and new business approaches, as agreed with the Head of Corporate Partnerships. 

• Utilise the CRM database to maintain accurate records for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes. 

• Create funding reports for external partners when required. 

• Support and attend third-party corporate events as well as wider charity events. 

• Keep up to date with fundraising trends. 

• Communication and stewardship 

• Work with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and Marketing Team to develop a communication plan for corporate accounts. 

• Interact with corporate partners on social media, as well as creating content for platforms such as LinkedIn.

• Create stewardship/development plans for corporate partners. 

• Create and deliver presentations to raise awareness of the work of the Charity.

• Deliver tours of the hospital to supporters autonomously.  To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.

• Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation. 

• To act as a spokesperson for the charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate

This exciting Project Assistant role will work closely with the Programme Development Officer to support the development and delivery of Reclaiming Our Power. Reclaiming Our Power will explore the impact of racist microaggressions on mental health through creative peer support workshops with people with lived experience of racism, and will use learning to co-design and co-deliver learning opportunities to people working in the public and charity sectors delivering Glasgow’s services.

This project and role are funded with thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland.

What does the role involve?

• Organising events including creative peer support workshops, volunteer meetings, and training sessions
• Supporting the co-development and co-delivery of tailored training to people training/working in public-facing services

The Development Coordinator is a new role created to enable the Worthing Theatres & Museum Development team to raise crucial funds that will support the organisation in achieving its ambitious goals.

WTM has recently undergone a significant fundraising review and a new strategy is now in place. This strategy reflects the organisation’s need to increase fundraised income over the next 3 years (2024 - 2027) to meet its ambitious creative and capital plans to deliver on its mission to offer transformative creative experiences for the community of Worthing.

The postholder will work closely with the Head of Development and Development Manager to deliver the ambitious fundraising strategy for WTM. They will be responsible for raising funds of up to £10,000 per application from primarily Trusts and Foundations and some local corporate partners, and supporting the team with operational tasks including financial processes, events and communications.

Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

Fundraising and Relationship Management

● Manage relationships with Trust and Foundation funders giving up to £10,000 per year including ongoing donor stewardship, reporting writing, crediting etc.

● Secure new income by applying for grants and funding of up to £10,000 to support a range of WTM projects from Trust and Foundations and from local businesses including researching trusts and businesses, identifying suitable projects within the WTM portfolio to apply for, writing bids etc.

Development Operations and Support

● Lead on supporter crediting for the department ensuring that all supporters are acknowledged in relevant digital and print materials across the year.

● Act as day-to-day point of contact for the Development team’s use of the Spektrix database ensuring best practice.

● Work with the Finance team to monitor Development income on a monthly basis and report back to the Head of Development and Development Manager.

Job responsibilities 

Administrative support for meetings 

• Provide administrative support for the Safeguarding Leadership Team. 
• Produce high quality accurate minutes of team meetings and ensure they run smoothly. 

Administrative support for safeguarding activity 

• Work with the Safer Churches Programme Manager to provide day to day administrative support, working closely to ensure functions run smoothly.
• Work within national and diocesan safer churches policy and procedures as defined in the safer churches programme of work.
• Support the Safeguarding Advisors with safeguarding agreements and risk assessments as required.
• Provide effective administrative support, maintaining standards as required by the Diocese.
• Work with the Safer Churches Programme Manager to provide performance data to assist the regular reporting management information.  
• Provide administrative support for Disclosure and Baring Service checks.

Training administration  

• Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the safeguarding training programme.
• Support trainers’ timely preparation, pre and post training.
• Co-ordinate the evaluation process to assess trainer performance and impact on learning.
• Manage safeguarding training inbox.
• Work closely with colleagues in the Area Offices to keep licensed clergy and lay ministers training kept up to date. 

General administrative support 

• Ensure confidentially in line with GDPR.  
• Process Invoices and annual subscriptions in a timely way and maintain tracking spreadsheet.
• Update contact details of local authorities, LADO’s and statutory agencies covering the diocesan area.  
• Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a French speaking Programme Officer to contribute to an organisation that works to protect the world’s forests and strengthen Indigenous Peoples’ and Local Communities’ rights on land and forestry governance. This role offers hybrid working with one day per week in their London office for 5 months with scope to become permanent. You must be available for an immediate start.

You will use your experience of supporting the delivery of programme activities, including tasks such as budget management and financial reporting, work planning and narrative reporting and the monitoring and evaluation of the programmes’ impacts.

Job Purpose

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator position sits within the Research, Evidence and Learning team and will make a key contribution to the quality of our programmes. The post holder will keep abreast of state-of-the-art M&E approaches to ensure the use of technically appropriate monitoring and evaluation models and information systems. The post holder will support the design of new programmes as well as provide technical advice and input to the monitoring, evaluation and learning of existing programmes. Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Lead the development of proposals from a MEL perspective, including contributing to and leading on theories of change, and the development of MEL frameworks. SignHealth aims to improve healthcare and access to health services for deaf people. As well as campaigning, research and health promotion, we provide supported living schemes and outreach for deaf people with mental health problems. We provide a national Advocacy and Counselling service and support for deaf victims of domestic abuse.

This role will be responsible for the collection of service contract debtors, as well as care fees from self-funding and local government authority residents. The role will interact with a wide range of stakeholders and will deliver excellent customer service – working proactively to reduce any barriers to debt collection and to improving SignHealth’s debt collection processes at a time the organisation is forecast to grow rapidly and significantly.

The key responsibilities of this Credit Controller role include:

• Raise all sales invoices (recurring and ad hoc), for SignHealth in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work with the Accountant and Head of Finance to develop and maintain accurate invoicing schedules.
• Work with colleagues across SignHealth to ensure that accurate invoices are raised – e.g. to account for changes in service delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders to ensure prompt payment and resolution of billing disputes
• Proactively chase outstanding debts through telephone calls, emails and letters
• Perform monthly sales ledger reconciliations and check for anomalies, work with other finance team members to reconcile statements to the accounts
• Provide regular debtor status reports to the Accountant and Head of Finance – contribute to the development of management information for ELT including the cash flow forecast and debtor aging – as well as drafting written commentary for the management accounts
• Maintain accurate contact and contract information for all customers
