About the role:
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to a specialised Cases Unit, playing a key part in its day-to-day functions. Your responsibilities will include managing and organising case documents, coordinating meetings, facilitating communication with legal teams, and assisting in casework activities. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will ensure the efficient operation of the unit, contributing to the overall success of its work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the Unit's document management system to ensure efficient tracking, retrieval, and organisation of casework materials.
- Manage and update key logs, including Excel spreadsheets, to support ongoing Unit activities.
- Prepare and organise evidence bundles using the case management system, including redacting sensitive information for review by the Independent Decision-Making Body.
- Communicate with specific Inquiry staff and the Solicitor to the Inquiry on administrative and case-related matters as needed.
- Keep detailed records of all communications related to the Inquiry and ensure the Unit is regularly updated.
- Attend meetings with key stakeholders like the Legal Services Board and Solicitors Regulatory Authority, taking and distributing accurate notes.
- Coordinate with third parties, such as tribunals, witnesses, and legal representatives, to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
- Schedule and organise meetings for the Unit, including internal meetings and external sessions with stakeholders.
- Take and distribute minutes from meetings with legal advisors, barristers, and other external contacts.
- Provide general administrative support, including managing casework tasks, preparing hearing bundles, and liaising with counsel and witnesses, often under strict deadlines.
- Handle inquiries via the central mailbox, draft correspondence, and manage routine telephone inquiries.
- Process invoices and purchase orders and maintain financial records using the organisation's finance system.
- Collaborate closely with other administrative teams, particularly those supporting the Independent Decision-Making Body.
- Assist in managing incoming communications and provide general support for the Unit, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Case Officer, Case Officer, and Director as required.
To be considered for the role, you will have the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Proven administrative experience, including managing mail, handling correspondence, drafting letters, managing records, and responding to telephone inquiries.
- Strong skills in both electronic and physical file management.
- Experience in effective diary management.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. The Role
The Philanthropic Partnerships Assistant plays an important role in supporting the financial sustainability objectives of GGF UK. As Global Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer, you will support PEAS country level MEL teams in fulfilling their learning objectives in relation to delivering our school improvement technical assistance programme to non-PEAS partner schools. The MEL Officer will be part of the Global Technical Team, and will contribute to the team’s primary objectives to boost the efficacy and impact of the organisation's initiatives across Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana.
We are looking for an individual with significant MEL experience, ideally in relation to education programmes in low resource settings of Uganda, Zambia, and/or Ghana. Experience in fulfilling institutional donor requirements is desirable, ideally to include USAID and/or FCDO.
To be successful in this role you will have strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to guide, motivate and support members of the wider global MEL team. You will be highly experienced in working with data, and have strong data analysis skills. You will be part of a hard-working, growing and highly effective team who support one another to achieve impact. Think Ahead supports people living with mental health needs by supporting a strong and thriving mental health workforce. We are experts in recruitment, professional training and leadership development for mental health practitioners in the NHS and local communities, ensuring the right people can deliver the right support at the right time.
Through our flagship programme we have recruited and trained 1,000 mental health social workers to date, and we are extending our reach to ensure that we can support NHS and other employers to recruit and retain key people right across the mental health workforce.
As the External Relations Officer you will:
- Ensure the organisation has a good understanding of relevant policy and sector developments, and that we are aware of opportunities to influence.
- Work with key internal groups to keep developing our understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the mental health workforce.
- Support the organisation to identify and build relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Help to build our profile as sector workforce experts by generating content such as blogs, and by identifying speaking opportunities for our internal specialists.
We are looking for someone with good communications instincts who is passionate about policy and public affairs, and has a ‘can-do’ attitude and a desire to learn and develop. We don’t need you to be highly experienced in all three areas (communications, policy and public affairs), we are happy to work with the right candidate to develop your skills and experience.
We offer a supportive working environment which include hybrid working practices. We expect staff to work from the office at least one or two days per week (which ideally includes Tuesdays) and the remaining days can be worked from home.
