As the L&D Advisor, you’ll support our organisational goals by designing, implementing, and evaluating training and engagement programmes that enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce. Working under the direction of the Head of HR, this role focuses on meeting business needs through targeted learning interventions and fostering a culture of continuous professional development (CPD). Additionally, you will ensure effective onboarding practices, coordinate activities that promote an inclusive culture, oversee compliance training, and support our early careers programme.

The Role

Sitting within the Discipleship and Social Justice team, this role provides support to three diverse and exciting areas of Church of England parish ministry. Generous Giving helps parishes to raise finances to fund their mission and ministry, Social Justice enables churches to practice their faith by supporting their communities, and Environment ensures that churches are able to make informed choices to reduce their carbon footprint and promote biodiversity.

You will enable these areas by supporting the parish advisers, through communicating with church volunteers, providing resources, and organising/recording project engagement and training.

Reporting to the Generous Giving Adviser, you will be supported in managing their workload. However, as you will be working with three advisers and various stakeholders, you must be able to proactively manage your time and negotiate timescales. There are two working pattern options available for this role: Option 1 allows you to work Monday through Thursday, and Option 2 allows you to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

About You

You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work here - around 50% of staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins the work. However, all our staff do have a desire to make a difference.

We are seeking a motivated individual with proven IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams), contact database management, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. About the role

This is an awesome role focussed on improving our ways of working and processes when it comes to those who support us. We want all of our supporters to have a first class experience when they decide to donate their time and/or money to supporting children and young people with cancer and their families. However we know that as an organisation we have more to do to make this happen and the time is now.

Working in Income Generation, this role will take a recently conducted diagnostic carried out by a business improvement consultant and not only work through the next steps but make change happen, prioritising the areas with the biggest wins. This role really will have a lasting legacy in the organisation.

We're not just looking for someone to map change, this person will lead operational design and process re-engineering that transforms the Income Generation directorate and it's workforce into high achievers. 

You’ll be based within the Project Management Office (PMO), a supportive team of professionals that lead transformational change across the organisation as well as corporate planning. You’ll also have close relationship with the Head of Planning and Strategy in Income Generation as well as the Associate Director Supporter Engagement.

What will I be doing?

• Building on the diagnostics carried out already within Income Generation directorate to optimise organisational design and scope improvements. 
• Using the diagnostics to identify pain areas, develop a sequenced plan to tackle these issues and then implement the plan to improve performance, processes and services i.e. “getting hands dirty”.
• Embedding a culture of improvement in the organisation and developing these capabilities within the workforce.
• All of these activities will involve facilitating workshops, engaging audiences with tailored communications, debating and negotiating ideas with leaders, managing governance, risks and dependencies, evaluating progress etc.

Many children fall behind with reading simply because they lack the opportunity to practise: we work to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most. Chapter One’s unique, online, reading support programme pairs struggling 5 to 8 year olds in over 11 areas of the UK with over 3000 volunteers who are recruited from a range of local and national businesses.

We are seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Officer to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner experience. This is an opportunity for an early career professional to learn about charity-business partnerships in a dynamic, small charity which is flexible and agile. 

Reporting to our Corporate Partnerships Manager, but also working closely with our Business Development Manager, you’ll support them both to deliver our annual volunteer targets and maintain our strong partner retention rate (currently 88%). Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

You'll lead and coordinate our local campaigning work across the Midlands. Your work will help the charity improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s and those who care for them. 

You'll listen to the needs of our local communities to inform your campaign work, and empower them to make change where they live. You’ll work with colleagues across Parkinson’s UK to deliver political campaigns and meaningful advocacy for our community.  Through your campaigns you will ensure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers are heard.

• Recruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers.

• Be a first point of contact for supporters and campaign volunteers who want to improve services in their local communities.

• Experience in organising events.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team to work in Cornwall to promote and enable - walking, wheeling, cycling, and public transport as the sustainable way of travelling to schools, workplaces, and for journeys in the local community.

As the Project Officer, you will be innovating, developing, and delivering tailor-made packages of activities and promotional material to encourage and enable active travel. 

You will work in close partnership with Cornwall Council, public transport providers, Sustrans’ Behaviour Change & Engagement team and colleagues to support the development and delivery of a countywide Workplace Travel Challenge. This will help ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from the project and that more local journeys can be travelled actively. 

Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS is required. 

We offer true hybrid working, with a mix of working from the Authority office 1-2 days a week and the opportunity for home working. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake the project on behalf of Sustrans. You will be occasionally travelling across the Cornwall region.

About the Role:

Working alongside the Engagement & Growth Manager, the Bid Lead will deliver Blue Triangle’s new Development Strategy as we evolve and change our service models in alignment to the needs of people, communities, and commissioners. The role will cover trusts, foundations and statutory funding applications/tenders.
