Purpose of the job 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Fundraising team. UK Youth already works with a broad range of exciting corporate partners, including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, KFC, Burger King and RSA Insurance. This role focuses on identifying and securing new income generation opportunities with Corporate Partners across strategic, commercial and charity of the year style collaborations. 

Key responsibilities

• Lead and secure income from new corporate organisations and achieve new business targets
• Identify new corporate opportunities to add to the new business corporate pipeline
• Pro-actively engage new businesses using a range of methods: e.g. working with senior stakeholders, events, networking, cold calls, emails, LinkedIn
• Develop and strengthen warm relationships with prospective funders and find opportunities to engage them in the work of UK Youth
• Develop corporate bids, budgets and proposals, managing the process across different teams, cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Create and present high quality, persuasive funding bids to C-suite audiences and senior stakeholders
• Present and attend meetings alongside senior leaders and stakeholders at UK Youth
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to identifying new streams of income from different corporate audiences
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to develop the corporate partnerships offer beyond income generation, identifying opportunities for corporate partners to offer their skills and expertise to further UK Youth’s charitable objectives
• Ensure all donations are accurately recorded and recognised, working closely with the finance team
• Ensure that the CRM is up to date and accurate at all times
• Keep up to date with trends, research and data on fundraising and corporate partnerships, helping to inform long-term strategy

Experience we're after

• Demonstratable experience in a sales or corporate fundraising role, working on six – seven figure proposals
• Proven track record of corporate partnerships fundraising/ securing sales targets from new organisations
• Experience of working in a busy and deadline-driven environment and achieving ambitious targets
• Experience negotiating, pitching and presenting to senior (C-suite) internal and external stakeholders

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Services Manager to join our team. The Business Services Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Dundee HQ for Kids Operating Room. This role is responsible for the effective management of KidsOR facilities in Dundee, Health and Safety compliance, the coordination of complex international travel logistics for the operations team, and supporting the Director of Global Operations with scheduling and appointments. The Business Services Manager will oversee the administration and day-today management of the Dundee HQ, ensuring a well-organised and efficient working environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Facilities Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the Dundee HQ.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of all facilities, including building repairs, security, and equipment.
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to manage building services, including cleaning, utilities, and waste management.
• Monitor and manage office supplies and equipment inventory to ensure smooth operational activities.

​2. Health & Safety

• Act as the main point of contact for all Health & Safety matters.
• Ensure the charity is compliant with all local, national, and international health and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure that all safety policies and procedures are up to date and communicated across the organization.
• Provide training and guidance to staff regarding Health & Safety best practices and emergency protocols.

​3. Travel Coordination

• Manage complex international travel arrangements for staff and volunteers, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
• Ensure travel plans are in compliance with relevant visa, vaccination, and insurance requirements.
• Liaise with travel agencies, embassies, and insurance companies to ensure smooth and compliant overseas operations.
• Keep track of travel schedules and maintain travel records.

​4. Administrative Support for the Director of Operations

• Manage the Director of Operations' calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel itineraries.
• Prepare briefing documents, reports, and meeting agendas as required by the Director of Operations.
• Provide general administrative support, including handling correspondence, processing expenses, and maintaining records.

​5. Office Administration

• Oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of the Dundee HQ, ensuring the office operates efficiently.
• Manage reception duties, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
• Ensure the effective organization and filing of documents, both digital and physical.
• Assist with the organization of meetings and events held at the Dundee HQ.
• Collaborate with finance and HR departments to support general office operations, including payroll, invoicing, and staff onboarding.

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practices.

Title: Senior Administrative Manager

Location: Haywards Heath, with a preference for 1-2 days per week in the office       

Contract: Three-year fixed term contract

Salary: £31,644 to £39,000 per annum

About the role

The primary purpose of the Senior Administrative Manager will be to support the NTD (Neglected Tropical Disease) Department in functioning effectively and efficiently. This role involves coordinating administrative and support systems, procedures, and sub-teams essential for the management of the NTD portfolio.

Background

Sightsavers’ NTD directorate oversees projects funded by various donors to control and eliminate five PC-NTDs: onchocerciasis, lymphatic filariasis, trachoma, schistosomiasis, and soil-transmitted helminths in 28 countries. These projects are executed by country office teams, ministries of health, and partners, with operational and technical support from the NTD Department.

Principal Accountabilities 

• Oversee the creation and renewal of requested consultancy agreements with Human Resources, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed and records are kept updated.
• Manage the contractual organisation of the team of internationally located technical consultants and work with the relevant Global Disease Advisor to coordinate all aspects of support missions undertaken by the them 
• Ensure professional meeting support for all external NTD meetings with donors and international partners as requested by the NTD SMT.  This includes logistics, room bookings, agendas, slides, recording, virtual participation where required and minute documentation and distribution. 

• Assemble information as required for presentations, communications and reports, and manage internal document storage systems (Microsoft SharePoint and Teams). 

• Support the Grant Directors and IFT to compile key donor milestone reports and ensure a fully functional and accessible external ShareFile system for key donor groups where required

• Support communications both within the NTD Department team and with external stakeholders through dissemination of newsletters and maintaining contact lists. 

• Using all members of the admin team, coordinate the support for all regular internal PDU calls (recurring invites, agenda sharing and minute taking).

• Provide travel support to the SMT and Grant Directors where requested. 

• Manage/supervise NTD Dept Coordinator

• Undertake additional ad-hoc administrative duties as required.

Overall purpose

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing key aspects of our communications and engagement strategy. Your focus will be to maintain our high reputation and build engagement with key audiences – principally target public audiences, corporate partners, funders and supporters, volunteers, clients, and staff. 

Bridging the gap between senior leadership and delivery, you will be a confident and strategic thinker, but remain excited by the challenge of getting stuck in. You will be comfortable supporting colleagues to deliver activity as well as working independently on your own projects. You will have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the right policies, frameworks and plans are in place for our small team to achieve ambitious plans.

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for campaigns, PR, content and storytelling, brand and creative, and plays an integral role in internal communications. They also support other external engagement activities, such as digital marketing campaigns, corporate partner acquisition and retention, and public fundraising.

Strong copywriting is essential for this role. You will be able to write, edit, and tailor content for different audiences, and publish it across various channels, including the website, social media, emails, and marketing materials. 

You will enjoy variety. Your day could involve operational planning, developing a new campaign, briefing freelancers and agencies, finding compelling stories, creating our Impact Report, speaking with journalists, working on internal communications, or drafting social media posts.

The successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence, relationship building and negotiation skills. They will be collaborative and creative, drive projects forward, work effectively alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and bring people together across the organisation. They will provide supportive, effective management to the Communications and Campaigns Officer, and be an internal advocate for the impact our Communications and Engagement can have.

Community Development Officer – Southampton (England South)

We are recruiting a Community Development Officer to engage key partners and stakeholders in the region tailoring support, training and education to create suicide safer communities.

In this role you will:

· Identify, develop and maintain effective partnerships with local communities, volunteers and key partners across the region to engage them in the prevention of young suicide.

· Proactively promote suicide prevention including raising the profile of PAPYRUS and engaging with those personally affected by young suicide.

· Equip a wide range of stakeholders to enable them to create sustainable suicide safer communities through the provision of tailored support, training and education.

· Deliver training and awareness raising products to a variety of groups including professionals, parents, young people, volunteers and other trainers.

· Contribute to the development and review of projects, and education and training products, in line with the Strategic Plans.

· Contribute to and promote campaigns, training and opportunities as outlined in the Regional and Strategic Plans.

· Represent the charity at events including conferences, panels, working groups and through media channels as required.

· Record, monitor and report on data to evaluate our projects and demonstrate impact.

To be successful in this role you will have:

· Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops or educational activities

· A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience

· Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience

· Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work

· The ability to travel to different locations across Southampton and the South of England to attend meetings, events and deliver training.

Salary: £29,269 per annum (SCP 18) progressing by increments to £32,076 per annum (SCP 23).

Working to a new Fundraising strategy with ambitious plans for growth, the Public Fundraising Manager will help us reach the next level in our income generation.

The role will combine direct responsibility for the retention and growth of our Individual Giving income streams (regular giving, lottery, appeals) with leadership and support of our other public facing income streams (community, legacy and in memory giving).

As the most experienced fundraiser in the team, the role will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to deliver on the Fundraising strategy, managing the team in an empowering way to motivate and inspire the team to drive income.

We are looking for an experienced leader to run our Crosslight Branch, staff and volunteers in West Kent (with locations in across Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells), and to provide debt advice, case management, and money education to Crosslight’s service users. 

Our ideal candidate has prior debt advice experience combined with experience of leading and supervising staff and volunteers. We understand that these are unique skills and therefore if you have leadership experience gained in other social welfare settings, there may be an opportunity to train as a debt advisor if you can demonstrate that you possess the skills, maturity and determination to become proficient in this element.

I am working exclusively with a medical regulator, and we are looking for an experienced Policy Manager to lead on policy development, analysis and stakeholder engagement with the UK Government. The post holder will be focusing on challenging the current status quo, and putting the thoughts, feelings and benefits of changing regulation policy to favour the organisation. The main area of policy includes international registration.

Your new role
The successful candidate will:

• Lead the development, implementation and management of clear end-to-end regulatory policies and standards for the registration of international professionals. This looks at the legal requirements for registering in the UK, strategy and approach to regulation.
• Manage complex registration casework. This includes providing advice to internal and external colleagues regarding legal and policy issues.
• Lead on policy analysis and engagement, ensuring you are keeping track of external issues that will affect the organisation.
• Work with other healthcare bodies to carry out policy analysis.
• Project managed policy consultations.
• Represent the organisation at external events and meetings.

What you'll need to succeed
This position is ideal for someone who has:

• Extensive policy development experience within the healthcare and regulatory space (ideally)
• Good understanding of the principles of good regulation in the UK and how this can be translated to Policy Development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Significant experience of preparing high quality policy documents, including position papers, reports, and final documents for senior committees and external stakeholders
• Understanding of legal principles (via a degree or previous experience - highly desirable, but not essential).

About the role

You'll be instrumental in ensuring Claire House remains a legacy confident charity.

Taking the lead on the Legacy (Gifts in Wills) and In Memory strategy, you'll make sure supporter journeys, audience insight and effective targeting are always front and centre, by initiating impactful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.

The nuts and bolts of the job:

• Develop and implement a sector-leading legacy and in-memory fundraising strategy.
• Build relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders, creating legacy leads and converting to legators.
• Be an active member of Fundraising Team Leaders, working collaboratively with colleagues to optimise legacy giving opportunities.
• Utilise a full range of marketing platforms and events.
• Develop key messages and tools to enable staff to integrate legacies into their everyday conversations with supporters.

What you'll need to bring to the role

You'll definitely need proven experience and a successful track record in a strategic legacy fundraising role, including the creation, development and implementation of fundraising plans.

Here at Action For Humanity (AFH), we are looking for an Advocacy & Policy Manager to join us. You will join us on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a competitive annual salary of £40,000 to £45,000. This role is remote but based in London.

AFH is an NGO that provides aid and assistance to people affected by natural and man-made disasters. Our vision is a world of crises-resilient communities. Our mission is to mobilise and respond to emergencies and critical needs through humanitarian, development and peace-building action, helping affected communities survive, recover and build a better future.

AFH has taken a leadership role on advocacy for the ongoing conflict in Gaza and has a long history of being a thought leader on the humanitarian crisis in Syria. In order to help achieve this goal, AFH is recruiting an Advocacy & Policy Manager, where the successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Communications, manage and strengthen AFH’s advocacy campaigns, and develop and build networks to support our advocacy efforts. The Advocacy & Policy Manager will also be the focal point between the organisation and policymakers, in the UK and beyond.  

The Advocacy & Policy Manager will advocate the humanitarian needs stemming from the crises in Gaza, Syria, Yemen and other contexts in which the organisation works. They will convey the voice from the ground, to various external audiences, and will build a presence there to promote the organisation’s work, which is rapidly evolving and is entering newer phases.

Your accountabilities as our Advocacy & Policy Manager will include the following:

Building external relations

• Lead on creating and executing an Advocacy strategy and relationship-building plan to ensure AFH is well connected and respected amongst key stakeholders including politicians, policy makers, governing bodies, other NGOs, etc. Regularly seek new opportunities to enhance external relations.
• Represent AFH in advocacy meetings, humanitarian coordination and other forums, conferences, events, and working groups, leading as many as possible.
• Build and maintain AFH’s relationships with influential people and authorities, including politicians and Governing bodies. Facilitate supporting regular and meaningful engagement with them.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.
• Position AFH as influential in public debates on Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other countries where AFH works, making AFH a resource for journalists and other key stakeholders covering related issues.
• Keep abreast of regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.

Supporting internal stakeholders

• Guide and advise AFH’s head and field offices on advocacy issues and trends.
• Support our field offices with Advocacy capacity building and enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding.
• Support the head office with enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding, through targeted external stakeholder engagement and improving the technical branding of Action For Humanity in the eyes of potential partner institutions.
• Identify advocacy opportunities by working with the wider Communications and Marketing departments in the writing, editing, commissioning and disseminating of press-releases, op-eds, statements etc., to secure coverage of the organisation’s work across the media spectrum.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create interesting and engaging multimedia content to ensure the organisation’s marketing and brand strategies incorporates our advocacy position.
• Provide analysis to the CEO, Director of Communications and other stakeholders, including inputs and talking points for meetings, as required.
• Promote a principled approach to advocacy, policy and external relations among relevant internal stakeholders, and ensure that external messaging is evidence-based and driven by field realities.

General

• Closely monitor the evolving humanitarian and political context in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, particularly where AFH currently operates, and disseminate written and verbal updates and analysis in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce high quality public and private policy and advocacy materials including letters, briefing notes, position papers, and advocacy reports.
• Build up AFH’s advocacy work in relation to domestic programmes.
• Promote the advocacy positions of the Syria Relief brand as well as the Action For Humanity brand.

What we are looking for in our Advocacy & Policy Manager:

Education

• Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field i.e., International Development, International Relations, Public Relations, Economics, Politics.
• Evidence of sector-specific continuous professional development.

Experience

• Strong experience and track record in an advocacy or similar role.
• Experience in building strong relations and networking with key staff within various UN agencies, especially I/NGO, Forums, UN, OCHA meetings and with local ones.
• Collaborating in multi-national organisational problem solving, operations in complex organisations.
• Active participation with I/NGO Forums desirable.
• Understanding of UK political and media landscape.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical and interpretive ability.
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude; comfortable with continuously changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT skills (programmes such as MS Office, Outlook and PowerPoint).
