We are looking for a full time Partnerships Engagement Officer to work with the WES Partnerships Manager to offer support and knowledge of ED&I initiatives to our growing pool of partners in the UK including, Engineering organisations from small start-ups to universities, SMEs to Blue Chip FTSE 100 companies who partner with WES to support women in engineering and their own ED&I strategy.
The ideal candidate will have experience of account management, preferably in a not-for-profit organisation and bring proven experience in equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I). They will be a self-starter and be keen to provide new initiatives to help engineering organisations achieve their diversity goals. The focus will be to offer knowledge of ED&I to organisations to support the existing Partner relationships, and working with the WES team to provide insights and knowledge of ED&I.
Principal Accountabilities:
· Reporting to the Partnerships Manager to Create, develop, support, and manage engagement with all WES partners.
· Work with WES partners to identify, design, implement and coordinate ED&I initiatives for their organisations.
· Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of ED&I initiatives for WES partners.
· Manage other ED&I related projects as required.
· To support the Partnerships Manager with the development and delivery of an partners strategy identifying opportunities for growth from both new and existing partnerships aligned with WES’ vision and mission.
· Support the onboarding of new partners, processing new partner applications, monitoring payments and partner renewals.
· Host Partner webinars and networking sessions as required by the Partnerships Manager.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve tasks and project goals, ensuring partnerships align with our Charity values and policies.
· Support the partnerships Manager with monthly reports to the CEO and quarterly to the Board.
· Work closely with the partnerships Manager and Marketing to provide ED&I content for the monthly newsletter and quarterly Journal
· Attend exhibitions and events as WES’ representative to promote our ED&I initiatives.
· Attend meetings of the partners Directors’ Committee and the Board as required.
WES partners are integral to the second focus area of the WES strategy: Supporting businesses and institutions to attract and retain women in engineering. Successful partnership engagement means partners are more likely to renew and increase their support of women in engineering.

The WES team comes from across the UK and works flexibly. The successful candidate will be able to work remotely, with a requirement to attend monthly team meetings in person at the office based in London, some travel may be required to support specific activities but this would be at the line manager's discretion.

What experience and track record do you have?

The role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a small but highly effective charity Fundraising and Partnerships team, generating income to deliver initiatives that will make a real impact on the lives of vulnerable energy consumers?
We have experienced an exponential growth in income from public fundraising leading to an increased awareness of fuel poverty. To build on this success and maintain increased unrestricted income from a wider fundraising mix, we are recruiting a Fundraising Officer to join our knowledgeable and caring team.
The new Fundraising officer will join a small, friendly, but hardworking team who raise funds from a variety of sources including trust and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, events and community fundraisers and individual giving.
What you will need to succeed
You will have a strong knowledge of fundraising and income generation, and you will play a major part in significantly increasing income growth. Reporting into the Fundraising Manager, you will be a motivated and talented Fundraising Officer who will help us grow our unrestricted income and expand our pool of donors.
You will be required to lead your own portfolio of work, researching and identifying potential new funders, submitting applications and pitching for partnerships and support, as well as building strong relationships with donors.
You should have demonstrable experience of working in a Fundraising role, with the ability to cover the whole spectrum of fundraising duties, thinking strategically and working operationally.
Your base location is negotiable, but you will be expected to travel across England, Wales and Northern Ireland with overnight stays as required.
Hybrid and home working is subject to necessary H&S and GDPR checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK. Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates will be subject to a Basic DBS check.
We are offering:

ABOUT THE ROLE
In early 2025, Smart Works will open a new centre in the city centre of Bristol. Opening a twelfth centre will make Smart Works services accessible and available to more unemployed women ahead of their job interviews.
Smart Works is looking to appoint an experienced leader who is passionate about our work to lead the opening of the new centre.
The successful candidate will work closely with the central Smart Works Charity team to establish the centre in Bristol. In practice the role will involve identifying a suitable location for the centre, recruiting a skilled volunteer team, establishing a supporter base in Bristol and building partnerships with local referral organisations, corporate partners and funders.
Once in post, the Head of Bristol will appoint three additional staff members, building a founding team who will ensure the newest Smart Works centre is set-up for success. A founding Board of Trustees will also be appointed to provide local insight, expertise and support.
Throughout, the Head of Bristol will work closely with the Smart Works Charity Head of Programmes and experienced central team. There is an established blueprint for opening a new centre that will guide the process, with central support covering Finance, People & HR, Communications, Fundraising, Wardrobe and Operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Appointing and managing a staff team of four and a volunteer community of over 50, ensuring all team members thrive in their roles and continue to develop their skills.
Supporting each direct report with project deliverables and identifying continuous improvement opportunities in our ways of working. This work will sit across fundraising, service delivery and outreach work with referral partner organisations.
Overseeing the establishment, set-up and smooth running of the Bristol centre. Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Officer for the Bristol centre, following established training, guidance and procedures.

ABOUT US
The Scottish Rainforest Centre (SRC) was established as a Scottish charity (SCIO) in 2022 to develop a Rainforest Centre. The SRC will be an education and accommodation hub providing access and educational and research opportunities for people to visit the rainforest and get involved in its preservation and restoration.
THE ROLE
The SRC’s aim is to become a centre of scientific excellence and research within the rainforest zone, supporting scientists, researchers and volunteers working on rainforest regeneration and providing an affordable base for their field work and research. Embedded in the local community, the SRC will work closely with project partners, providing opportunities for local people, schools and disadvantaged groups to provide skills development and training opportunities.
The SRC Development Officer will work closely with and report to the SRC Managing Trustee to realise the aims and objectives of the Centre and liaise closely with other project staff on the National Lottery Heritage funded Building capacity to save Scotland’s Rainforest project.
As part of the development stage for the Building capacity project you will develop an events and engagement programme which provides opportunities for users to engage with the SRC, particularly schools and disadvantaged groups. You will work with local communities and partner organisations to develop rural skills development and learning opportunities, and build the confidence of practitioners and group leaders to use the site for education purposes.
The position will be home based with a willingness to travel.
This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week), 15-month, fixed-term position. Should our funding bid for the subsequent five-year ‘delivery’ phase be successful, we hope the CDO will remain in post to support the delivery of these plans.
THE CANDIDATE
You will have experience building relationships with a range of stakeholders including community organisations and are comfortable collaborating and engaging effectively for different outcomes e.g. learning, consultation or facilitation.

The Role
The Volunteer Recruitment Officer role is critical to the charity's long-term sustainability. It is pivotal in ensuring our branches have the volunteers and guidance they need to support our clients in the future.
This is an internal and external-facing role, focused on recruiting volunteers and developing initiatives to streamline recruitment and welcoming new volunteers into our network of branches.
We seek an experienced volunteering officer with a strong volunteer recruitment and project delivery background. Experience in working with a team going through a change programme involving volunteers is advantageous. You will thrive in a busy environment, have excellent people skills, and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with project delivery and innovation. Building on the strategy already prepared, you will work closely with our Volunteer Administration Officer and Operations Manager to help REMAP support our branches across the UK.
About You
We want you to bring relevant experience, passion, dedication, creativity, and flair to our work.
To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and be comfortable working with a diverse range of volunteers/people. As a self-starter, you can work at pace and quickly assess and deliver to changing priorities in a busy remote team. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to coordinate multiple tasks/activities and have the flexibility to respond to changing demands.
You will be proactive, enthusiastic, and excited about joining an organisation with ambitious plans to future-proof its services and reach more disabled people. Experience working in a remote environment is highly desirable.
Additional information about the role
Place of work: Fully remote, with occasional 2/3 nights away for year-round events.
Working Hours: 22 hrs (pattern to be discussed)
Salary: £13,400 - £15,000 (actual salary), dependent on experience
Holiday entitlement: Begins at 25 days per annum (pro-rata), in addition to public holidays.
