Black Thrive Global (BTG) evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016. We exist to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people so that the thriving of Black communities is the norm.

Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to lead our finance and operations functions and support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to implement management systems to efficiently run the business and achieve strategic objectives agreed by Global Black Thrive Board of Directors. This includes governance, finance, human resources, IT, legal, health and safety, and facilities management.
This role is strategic as well as multi-faceted and hands-on and will work collaboratively as part of Global Black Thrive’s Senior Leadership Team to

Develop robust approaches to finance and operations and provide practical support for Black Thrive teams to manage their programmes and projects; and

Support staff to take on delegated responsibility for finance, HR and operations and to develop their skills and knowledge base.

Develop a Fundraising Strategy through creating comprehensive fundraising plans tailored to the organisation's needs and goals.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the CEO to manage the organisation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including finance, HR, health and safety, data protection, and deadlines for annual returns to Companies House, the Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies, and HMRC.
- Put in place governance and management systems to support the efficient operation of the business, and the achievement of strategic objectives and milestones agreed by the Global Black Thrive Board of Directors.
- Support in the development of Black Thrive’s internal Learning and development infrastructure, particularly with the Learning Week.
- Lead on strategic reviews of organisational policies and procedures and work with the CEO and colleagues to review, update and operationalise policies and procedures.
- Line manage Finance Officer and lead finance functions, including working with managers to prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring that there are appropriate financial controls and operational arrangements in place (including for outgoing and incoming invoices and grants), liaising with external accounting and payroll providers and training staff as required.
- Line mange the HR and Admin Manager and support with updating policies, rolling out strategic changes and communicating these companywide.
- Provide timely and accurate strategic financial management information to enable the Board of Directors, CEO and managers to have effective oversight and make strategic short-term and long-term decisions.
- Work with others in the organisation and support the Fundraising Strategy. This will also include strategies for creating our own independent funds that are not linked to an external funder.
- Support the CEO to fulfil their role as Designated Lead Officer for safeguarding, including updating the safeguarding policy, ensuring that it is given effect and maintaining a robust system of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and training for staff, associates, consultants and volunteers.
- Ensure the provision of effective day-to-day administration of HR functions, including induction, training, learning week organisation and appraisal systems
- Ensure effective management of premises, facilities, and equipment, including maintenance of an asset register.
- Stay up to date with trends and best practices in governance, finance and operations relevant to Global Black Thrive’s mission.
- Work with Global Black Thrive Directors to resolve disputes or disagreements that negatively impact on the achievement of objectives.

About the Role
As the Senior Communications Officer (content) in the Public Engagement Team, you will be passionate about the rights of young people in the UK. Using your creativity and experience in delivering public-facing communications content and fundraising content you will be instrumental in increasing Depaul UK’s income, profile and influence. Send My Friend to School Campaign Manager
This is a full time post, based in central London Salary: £40,291
The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. There is likely to be occasional evening and weekend work involved, for which time off in lieu will be received. Holidays are 25 days pro rata per year plus bank holidays. Results UK’s terms and conditions of employment will apply.
Line Management
Although working solely on Send My Friend to School coalition activities the Campaign Manager will be employed as part of the Results UK team. Consequently, they will be formally managed by the Results UK Head of Parliamentary Advocacy in terms of workplace-related and employment issues.

Purpose of the job
This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Fundraising team. AFH has taken a leadership role on advocacy for the ongoing conflict in Gaza and has a long history of being a thought leader on the humanitarian crisis in Syria. In order to help achieve this goal, AFH is recruiting an Advocacy & Policy Manager, where the successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Communications, manage and strengthen AFH’s advocacy campaigns, and develop and build networks to support our advocacy efforts. The Advocacy & Policy Manager will also be the focal point between the organisation and policymakers, in the UK and beyond.
The Advocacy & Policy Manager will advocate the humanitarian needs stemming from the crises in Gaza, Syria, Yemen and other contexts in which the organisation works. Would you like to be part of our Programmes and Advocacy team, supporting our exciting global strategy to make Leprosy and Lymphatic Filariasis diseases of little consequence? If your answer is yes, then we want to hear from you. We are looking for a Programmes Officer to join our team. You will have the following knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, International Development, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in project coordination, preferably in the health; humanitarian or in the international development sector.
- Ability to plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate projects effectively.
- Experience in coordinating multiple tasks and managing timelines effectively.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting is an advantage.
- Experience with statistical analysis software or GIS mapping tools.
The purpose of the role is to provide essential support to a small, dedicated team within the UK Programmes and Advocacy team, facilitating the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects aimed at addressing leprosy and LF. Working closely with the Senior Programme Manager, MEAL Manager, Advocacy Manager, and Research and Technical Advisor, the Programmes Officer will ensure seamless coordination of activities, enhance data-driven decision-making processes, and contribute to impactful advocacy and research initiatives.

The salary for this position is £26,999 (FTE) – Lead Level. We have fully embraced flexible working and the role can be either fully remote, hybrid or fully based at our Colchester offices.
