About the role
We are looking for a proactive individual to join our team. You will support impact measurement and evaluation across a suite of over 20 Young Enterprise programmes and services, plus fundraising, marketing, volunteering and alumni activity. You will be involved in collating learning from across Young Enterprise, including leading on data collection through our existing systems, analysis and disseminating findings through various means including our internal evidence hub, external reports, senior leadership updates and internal project reports.
This is a fast-moving role which will require you to have a flexible approach. You will be able to work independently on impact and evaluation tasks (with guidance from the Head of Impact and Insights) while working closely with colleagues from a range of teams and functions across the charity. The ability to manage your workload across multiple projects is a key part of this role, as well as thinking broadly and creatively about improving and embedding good impact practice at Young Enterprise as an integral part of our upcoming Transforming Futures strategy (2024-2030).

This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of directing and leading a similar sized UK philanthropic organisation (or a fundraising team within a larger charity), including writing and implementing strategies and evaluating outcomes. Substantial experience of management of teams at both strategic and tactical level including developing skills, abilities, performance management and confidence in staff is required as are high level speaking skills.

Job Purpose
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator position sits within the Research, Evidence and Learning team and will make a key contribution to the quality of our programmes. The post holder will keep abreast of state-of-the-art M&E approaches to ensure the use of technically appropriate monitoring and evaluation models and information systems. The post holder will support the design of new programmes as well as provide technical advice and input to the monitoring, evaluation and learning of existing programmes. Building MEL Capacity Provide hand-on technical assistance to teams in the monitoring, evaluation and review of existing projects. Support staff with development/use of MEL tools and processes. As Global Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer, you will support PEAS country level MEL teams in fulfilling their learning objectives in relation to delivering our school improvement technical assistance programme to non-PEAS partner schools. The MEL Officer will be part of the Global Technical Team, and will contribute to the team’s primary objectives to boost the efficacy and impact of the organisation's initiatives across Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana.

The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. There is likely to be occasional evening and weekend work involved, for which time off in lieu will be received. Holidays are 25 days pro rata per year plus bank holidays. Results UK’s terms and conditions of employment will apply.
Line Management
Although working solely on Send My Friend to School coalition activities the Campaign Manager will be employed as part of the Results UK team. Consequently, they will be formally managed by the Results UK Head of Parliamentary Advocacy in terms of workplace-related and employment issues.
The postholder’s work objectives will be agreed and monitored by the Steering Group and the postholder will report to the Steering Group on work priorities, objectives and outcomes.
