About Wandsworth Oasis:
The roots of today's charity grew from one shop, on Battersea Park Road, opened in 1992. The shop's objective was to raise funds to support the Wandsworth Oasis AIDS Care Centre. As we grew, our trading charity was formally set up and from there other shops were opened. For over 20 years now, we have been supporting a number of London-based charities that align with our mission of supporting people living with HIV, raising awareness for prevention of HIV infection and challenging stigma.
About the role:
Salary: c£60,000 pa fte (c£48,000 pa actual salary)
Hours: 30 hours per week/0.8fte
Location: Tooting, London SW17. Hybrid working by agreement.

The CEO will be reporting to the Co-Chairs and directly line managing the Head of Income Generation and the Finance Manager. The post holder will have responsibility for the management and statutory compliance of the organisation which is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. The CEO is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organisation as delegated by the Board, including the management of people and resources and operation of the shops. The CEO fulfils a critical support role to the Board in relation to governance requirements and will be expected to facilitate the development of strategic plans, ensure the sustainable and strategic management of the organisation in collaboration with the Board and, when appropriate, obtain external professional advice.
Responsibilities will include:
Mission and Strategy:
- With the Board and staff, shape the organisation's strategic and operational plans and lead their successful implementation.
- Optimise income streams and reserves to guarantee the charity's sustainability and development.
- Manage Wandsworth Oasis's grants programme to organisations and individuals, from application stage through to reporting from grantee organisations to ensure they achieve measurable impact.
Leadership and Governance
- Promote and role-model a positive and professional and compassionate workplace culture
- Work with the Co-Chairs to develop the Board and good governance practice and upholding regulatory requirements.
- Oversight of volunteer strategy and ongoing management of volunteers
Influencing and External relations
- Champion prevention of HIV, removal of stigma associated with HIV and the need for high quality support for people living with HIV.
- Maintain Wandsworth Oasis's external profile and influence with grantee organisations and applicants, other organisations in the HIV space, local stakeholders and networks where the charity operates.

Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean, aiming to see at least 30 per cent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030. We are a London-based NGO, with around 50 projects in 25 countries around the world.
Blue Marine is seeking a campaigner to join our policy and media team. This new position will report to the Director of Ocean and Climate. The responsibilities will be to manage a discreet, one year, global marine conservation campaign. This will include managing relationships between the campaign team, NGO partners, influencers and political stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Ocean and Climate, you will:
· Tightly manage a discreet global campaign with a complex network for international stakeholders

Personal specification
This role concerns a discreet one year (initially) political campaign. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional campaigner, with a track record of achieving impact for the marine environment. They will already be gaining momentum in the sector, with the ability to implement campaigns, understanding the complex political dynamics that go into ocean governance. Experience in the southern ocean, central and south America and at international ocean fora will all be beneficial to the role. An eye for technical detail, organisational rigour when it comes to delivery against workplans and the stamina and temerity to see campaigns through to their conclusion will all be useful in this role.

About the role

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices are a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families across Surrey and Southwest London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
At the heart of the hospice are our dedicated clinical staffs. Their exceptional commitment and professionalism is commented on by so many of the supported children and their families.
It costs £10.5 million a year to maintain our current level of care. Only 30% of that income comes from government funding via the NHS or local authorities, so we rely on our supporters’ generosity to keep the service running. Predominantly we work with families living in the Northwest and Southwest of London and Surrey, although will accept children outside these geographical areas if they do not have access to specialist palliative care support locally. Introduction
Retail and Volunteers Team: Our Retail and Volunteers Team manages our charity shops and volunteer programs, which play a crucial role in supporting our mission. They recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to staff our shops and assist with various tasks, such as sorting donations and serving customers. Additionally, they oversee the operations of our retail outlets, ensuring that they are efficiently run to generate income for our hospices.
Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
In the absence of the manager or assistant managers to lead a team of volunteers to maximise sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure that the shop premises and assets are maintained to a high standard, according to legal requirements and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices (SSCH) policies and procedures.
Decision Making Authority
The post holder will be required to make decisions on the quality, and suitability of donations before they are placed on sale. Depending on the length of the cover period they may be required to dress the windows. (They will follow price guidelines and existing display layout throughout the shop.)
The post holder will work with eCommerce Manager to decide if items would be suitable for selling at a higher price on eBay or through a promotional event and set these aside for the manager of the shop to deal with on their return.
The post holder will support with rostering of the team of volunteers where necessary and delegation of duties and jobs.

The Role
Sitting within the Discipleship and Social Justice team, this role provides support to three diverse and exciting areas of Church of England parish ministry.
