Key Responsibilities
Oversee the Youth Voice programme
- Oversee the day to day running of The Mix’s Youth Voice programme, ensuring its alignment with
The Mix’s strategy - Lead the management of a database with 500+ young people, overseeing monthly reporting and
data reviews - Cultivate and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for active youth participation

Essential

Growing Hope Senior Finance Officer
Location: Hybrid working (2-3 days office based in King’s Cross Mon, Thurs and possibly Fri)

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus. Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. We have three clinics, King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe, and we are currently setting up our fourth and fifth clinics in Maidstone and Redbridge. We worked with over 500 children, young people, parents, carers and siblings in 2023. As a national charity Growing Hope has trained over 1,000 professionals & parents. We are continuing to expand, with the set-up of further local clinics on the horizon.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional with great attention to detail, strong analytical skills and an ability to work in a fast pace environment. The role will report to the Director of Operations and will involve running book keeping, reporting and banking functions as well as overseeing payroll. This role supports the national Growing Hope charity and each of the local charities’ (clinics) accounting for around £1 million collectively each year. You will be joining a small and dedicated national team of eleven.
Job Purpose
Growing Hope requires an experienced finance professional (with part qualifications) who will be responsible for the delivery of internal financial management systems and controls, and for maintaining accurate financial management records, including managing the process of producing annual accounts. This role covers both the national charity and the local Growing Hope charities which are growing across the UK. The national charity raises around £600,000 per year and the local charities around £50,000-£100,000. The Senior Finance Officer will support the charities with day to day book keeping, raising invoices, paying expenses, scheduling payroll payments and running management reports and accounts. This job role also involves advising on budgets for fundraising project proposals and working closely with the supporter engagement team. This individual will be able to communicate effectively with all the relevant parties including the national Growing Hope team, the local Clinic Managers, and local finance trustees who have overall governance of each charity’s finances.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Book keeping & Finance processes
- Processing of accounts using Quickbooks for each Growing Hope charity in a timely manner (currently 6 small charities)
- Paying expenses and invoices as and when these are approved.
- Liaising with payroll provider and scheduling salary payments for all staff each month.
- Invoicing local Growing Hope charities each month for book keeping, payroll and quickbooks.
- Running gift aid claims and supporting volunteers to run this across the Growing Hope charities.
- Liaising with local clinics and churches to agree payment schedules and giving for each financial year.
- Participate actively in prayer and worship times as part of the team. This includes praying, coaching and supporting Clinic Managers to understand their budgets and financial processes.
Fundraising
- Contributing to the fundraising strategy and development of budgets for fundraising projects.

Reporting
- Updating monthly forecast vs. budget spreadsheets for each local charity and the national charity.
- Leading monthly budget reporting meetings for Senior Leadership Team and Chair of Trustees, using analytical skills to highlight patterns or potential risks or problems arising.
- Create annual reports in partnership with the Clinic Managers and Finance trustee for each local charity and ensure these are independently examined by recruiting and liaising with volunteer accountants.
Payroll
- Liaising with the payroll provider to run payroll for all staff across the Growing Hope charities each month.
- Setting up and running pension payments each month.
- Paying NI payments each month.
General administration
- Set up bank accounts and signatories for local Growing Hope charities, support the local trustees with ensuring all financial processes are set up and working (e.g. bank account, Stripe, Quickbooks, payroll, pensions, HMRC)
- Sending letters and emails as required.
- Maintain data protection and confidentiality in line with Growing Hope’s information governance policy.

The project will focus on 27.4 hectares of ancient woodland habitat in the largest remining tract of the Great North Wood in South London. This natural heritage is a vital resource for the local community – the Woods saw an unprecedented 81% increase in footfall during the height of the pandemic, with visitor numbers increasing from 189,645 in 2019 to 343,385 in 2020. Only fragments of the ancient Great North Wood landscape remain; this project will help to ensure the long-term protection of the largest area of remaining Woodland.
As Project Manager, you can expect to:
- Oversee all work, ensuring that all project work is completed on time and to budget as described in the delivery phase, holding quarterly meetings to ensure we’re on track

We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Officer to support our team campaigning to stop the development of new oil and gas fields and for a rapid and fast phase out of oil & gas in the UK through a just transition.

Uplift is a campaigning and research organisation which supports efforts to create a rapid and fair transition away from oil and gas production in the UK. We have coordinated and implemented major successful campaigns and developed cutting-edge campaign, communications and research tactics. The Role
Core responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and implementing content plan for social media channels (primarily Instagram, X, Tiktok and Facebook) including drafting copy, creating content and ensure consistent posting for all channels with the guidance of Digital campaigner/Digital Campaign Lead and campaign team
- Producing a range of daily digital content for Uplift’s social media channels - from simple social-first graphic design, to lo-fi effective social video content
- Working in collaboration with other creatives - ie graphic designers, video producers, creators and influencers - for additional campaign assets
- Creating reactive content and messaging to respond to current events, helping Uplift maximise opportunities for engagement and growth using the news cycle

The South East Rivers Trust (SERT) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to gain more experience in river and catchment enhancement work - making a positive, lasting difference to the aquatic environment in the south east of England.
The Role
The Water and Land Stewardship Team (W&LS) lead the identification and delivery of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to improve rivers and catchments across the South East. Through evidence, stakeholder engagement and on-the-ground experience, this new senior role will lead and develop NbS project opportunities. You will aim for impact, scale and collaboration.
You will be responsible for delivering projects to scale up NbS across the SERT area, and lead the ‘South East demos’ for the Ofwat Innovation Mainstreaming Nature-based Solutions project, a flagship five-year innovation project with water industry partners across the UK. Working with colleagues at SERT to deliver NbS measures on the ground will give you the opportunity to make a real difference, using this to help regulators and policy makers address barriers and build enablers for NbS at scale.
You will lead walkovers, report on project opportunities identified, and develop projects on the ground, including natural flood management, riparian corridor enhancement and land management to increase catchment resilience. You will work closely with land managers to co-design feasible NbS options delivering multiple benefits. Your recommendations will be informed by data and evidence, and part of your role will be contributing to the effective collation of this across the Trust and the region. This will include identifying and reviewing nature market opportunities including through Biodiversity Net Gain, water resource, natural flood management and water quality, and you will look to capitalise on these opportunities and find ways to combine them with public funding (e.g. developing agri-environment schemes) to develop blended funding approaches. Working with our regional water companies, you will use your understanding of their drivers and processes to find ways of delivering more nature-based solutions with them in our catchments, building on existing relationships and projects within the Trust and the wider Rivers Trust movement.
Crucially, you will take a collaborative partnership approach, building close relationships with our regional water companies, farmer clusters and other NGOs as well as regulators and local authorities, and provide a vision for these stakeholder groups to drive improvement of our rivers and catchments.
This role is varied and allows for an individual to take ownership for their own projects, seeking and developing resolutions whilst working collaboratively with several organisations and individuals, as well as learn new skills and grow within a supported environment. You will be personable and inquisitive, enjoy working with evidence, be able to explain technical concepts in simple terms, engage positively with partners, and be passionate about rivers and the environment.
While the role covers the entire SERT area, we expect to develop a geographic focus towards either the East (Sussex, Kent) or West (Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey).

As the Individual Giving Officer, you will be at the heart of their fundraising efforts. Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies to engage individual donors, nurturing relationships that lead to meaningful financial contributions. You'll manage direct mail appeals, online fundraising campaigns, and oversee the membership scheme. Your efforts will ensure their supporters feel connected to the mission and inspired to contribute.
The role as an Individual Giving Officer:
- Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and deliver individual giving strategies, focusing on donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship.
- Cultivate Relationships: Build and nurture strong relationships with donors, ensuring they feel connected and inspired by their mission.
- Drive Campaigns: Lead direct mail appeals and online fundraising efforts, working closely with the Digital Fundraising and Marketing teams.
- Analyse and Innovate: Use data insights to monitor performance and inform future strategies, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Engage Our Community: Manage their membership scheme to maximise income and engagement.
You're an energetic and creative individual, full of fresh ideas and the drive to see them through. Your skills include:
- Fundraising Knowledge: A solid understanding of Individual Giving and donor care.
- Project Management: Experience in managing multiple campaigns or projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Strong copywriting abilities and experience of engaging with supporters.
- Data-Driven Approach: Proficiency in using donor databases to segment audiences and analyse performance.
