Our small, ambitious team works in a collaborative and supportive way. A big focus of the role is prioritisation and planning, so you’ll support the Director of Programmes, Head of Impact & Effectiveness and wider team to prioritise, forward plan, manage diaries and prepare for meetings. This is a great role for someone wanting to develop their administrative experience and exposure to board and executive level working. You will have responsibility for supporting a Trustee level grant making committee. You’ll get exposure to the strategic overview of the Charity and insight into managing teams, grant-making and charity operations. You’ll quickly see the impact you can make within the team to improve our effectiveness and ways of working; and what we’re working to achieve as a charity.
Maudsley Charity works primarily with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, as well as a range of voluntary and community organisations to fund ideas, big and small, that drive service improvement and support people who experience mental illness.
The Charity operates primarily within the four boroughs served by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark), but the work we fund has the potential for wider impact at both national and international levels, through the sharing of the outcomes with the wider mental health community. The Role:
As the Trusts & Foundations Officer, you will take ownership of an exciting and diverse portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations, and other grant-giving organisations. Reporting to the Head of Trusts and Statutory Fundraising, you will work to grow both restricted and unrestricted funding to help meet the Royal Hospital’s long-term income targets. This role requires strategic thinking, and the ability to develop and nurture lasting relationships with funders.
Key Responsibilities
As the Trusts & Foundations Officer you will assist in identifying new funding opportunities to expand the existing funder base, work closely with all departments to develop tailored proposals and implement the organisation's fundraising strategy. You will maintain a rolling programme of bespoke grant applications while building and stewarding long-term relationships with funders. The role includes supporting the Head of Trusts and Statutory Fundraising with donor communications, trust and statutory fundraising applications, submitting timely reports, and maintaining accurate records.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant fundraising role, and a good understanding of the voluntary sector funding environment. They should be skilled in researching and developing new funding pipelines, managing multiple contacts, and have excellent writing, proof-reading, and organisational abilities. Financial literacy and budget management are essential, alongside IT proficiency and familiarity with CRM systems like ThankQ. Candidates should have experience raising funds from trusts and foundations, managing donor relationships, and working to targets and deadlines.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will be part of Crisis Skylight Brent’s Engagement and Assessment Team, providing a high quality, non-judgemental and safe service to individuals who approach our Skylight Centre. Engagement and Assessment Workers are the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time, individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers, and supporters. You will be providing information about Crisis’ services, delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service, and offering Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services. You will also manage a small caseload.
Crisis uses a case management approach, and the successful candidate will attend case management meetings, reflective practice, and team meetings. You will also work collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight Brent’s Coaching and Learning Teams.

Scope of role

Key Responsibilities
- Accurate, effective and individually tailored advice
- Deliver financial capability workshops at various NHS sites, promoting financialresilience and wellbeing.

- Complete assessments which lead to appropriate referral to an in house debt adviser
- Interviewing those that access the service using sensitive listening andquestioning skills to allow them to explain their problem(s) and empower them to

Detailed case records
- Maintaining detailed case records, ensuring that all work meets all auditing and quality standards and the requirements of the funder.
- Ensuring all case records and written up in a timely manner.
- Monitor and report on client engagement and outcomes from advice sessions.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices (Customer Relationship Management system).
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions within the time limits, follow up to ensure resolution.
Up-to-date training
- Completing a minimum of 16 hours of technical CPD accredited training orqualifying activity.
- Maintaining an up-to-date record of all training sessions.
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Work to an agreed work-plan, meeting targets and milestones, whilst prioritisingand managing your own workload.

About the role:
The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. We have a strong track record of grant fundraising and seek someone who can support us to diversify our income, develop a fundraising strategy with a variety of income streams and bring experience and ideas to raise our profile. You will be part of a small and highly committed fundraising team of three including the existing Head of Fundraising and Communications, our Fundraising Officer and yourself. This is a new and exciting role in Refuge, and the post holder will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. The post holder will be based within housing teams for three days a week, to help facilitate.
- Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
- Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
- Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
- Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
- Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager
This recognises that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis, when they are either considering fleeing, or have already fled.
The housing IGVA will carry a caseload of survivors and their children that require additional support. They will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.
They will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. They will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.
The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.
