As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of People and Culture will work in a spirit of mutual accountability with fellow directors, taking strategic leadership of Turn2us’s People and Culture Directorate. With new funding from the UK Government’s Just Transitions for Water Security Programme, these game changing initiatives seek to end the abuse of water in our supply chains, and to establish responsible water stewardship as the global business norm by 2030 so that trade and business accelerate, rather than undermine, shared water security. This will be achieved through mobilising the power of scientific evidence and citizen voices to trigger change in government policies, corporate practices, financial disclosure, and political and public expectations. The choreography and delivery of this change will be a core focus of the successful candidate’s work.
We are keen for the post holder to be based at Water Witness’s Edinburgh offices where they will help to mentor and nurture the next generation of water leaders, though some flexibility may be considered. This role will involve travel within the UK and internationally. The Children's Society is delighted to embark on an exciting new partnership with BBC Children in Need in partnership with The Health Foundation and Impact on Urban Health to develop and deliver an innovative programme to improve children's mental health.
The funding is going to create a brand-new early support programme which will support children aged 8 - 13 years-old across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland with a strong focus on those children and families within marginalised communities. Our ambition is to support children and their families as early as possible to help prevent children developing and experiencing and mental health difficulties as they become teenagers.
The programme will offer one-to-one time-limited psychosocial interventions to children and their families. We will utilise solution-focussed approached to provide children and their families with a toolbox of strategies to help support the child's emotional health and wellbeing and manage their feelings. The direct work with children and families will be supported by digital interventions, through the use of our own wellbeing app “Me Time”.
About the role
We are looking for a creative, empathetic and organised practitioner who has experience of working with children and families around their wellbeing. You'll have excellent relational skills and have the ability to quickly build positive and trusting relationships with children and their families.
The role will be responsible for engaging children aged 8-13 and their parents, carers and family members where appropriate. You will deliver short term interventions to children who are struggling with their emotional health and wellbeing. These interventions will be face-to-face, over the phone and utilising our wellbeing app “Me Time”. The role will also work in partnership with other organisations and agencies such as schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHs), GPs and early help services.
In addition to working within your local team in Leeds you'll also form part of the National Programme, where you'll have the opportunity to connect with colleagues working across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

The role is responsible for creating and executing excellent, high quality day-to-day internal communications across WaterAid globally. Working closely with colleagues around the world, this is an exciting and stimulating role at the very centre of WaterAid’s global operations.
You’ll also:
- Act as central point of contact for any general enquiries into the Global Internal Communications and Engagement team.

Job Overview
The Video Editor will be responsible for post-production edits of video deliverables. The candidate must be a visual storyteller, capable of delivering compelling and engaging stories about the IRC’s response to emergencies and crises and the people who are impacted.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Content, collaborating with the Sr. Video Editor, video editor, freelance editors, and producers on editing and delivering video products that will be used for major integrated priorities and campaigns for all marketing efforts and audience segments.
Major Responsibilities
● Deliver finished video for various platforms and distribution needs, which includes editing together raw footage and audio, photo stills, graphics, adapting archival video, and versioning
● Collaborate with Content team, Creative & Content Studio, and stakeholders on creative idea pitches, and deliver on creative briefs
● Source broll for video projects, campaigns, external vendors and partners via internal library and paid footage
● Onboard vendors/freelancers/agencies
● Searching for stock music tracks based on references or direction

The National Lottery Community Fund has an exciting opportunity for 18–30-year-olds that are passionate about making a positive difference for their communities.We are looking for one young representative to join each Country Committee in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
As the largest funder of community activity in the UK, we’re trusted to turn money raised by players of the National Lottery into game-changing grants across the UK. Working within and alongside communities, we respond to their unique needs and opportunities, keeping our decision-making local. And we are determined to focus on the areas of greatest need, meeting communities where they are, as they are and helping them to tackle poverty, disadvantage, and discrimination.
Country Committees help to shape the strategic direction of The National Lottery Community Fund with a focus on the four missions: supporting communities to connect, supporting environmentally sustainable communities, enabling children and young people to thrive, and enabling people to live healthier lives.The primary role for Committee members is to use their knowledge and strategic thinking to help provide the direction for The National Lottery Community Fund, make decisions on large funding applications and be an ambassador for the Fund.
This is an exciting time of significant renewal at the Fund following the launch of our new strategy, ‘It starts with community’, setting a new direction to 2030. We are committed to helping children and young people to thrive by ensuring they are part of decisions that affect them and their communities. We are therefore seeking 18-30-year-olds who will bring a broad range of knowledge, skills and lived and learned experience of being a young person in today’s society.

The Criteria

Youth leadership: Understanding of the needs of young people and experience of representing the voices of young people in a leadership/ Governance role

Country context: Interest in your country’s political, social and cultural landscape and the role of the voluntary and community sector in it

Communication skills: confidence in verbal, written and listening skills in situations where prioritising and sometimes challenge will be required

Decision making: The ability to understand complex issues and make decisions by considering competing demands

Relationship management: Ability to nurture, develop and promote effective relationships and communication with committee members, senior leaders and community organisations with a strong commitment to equity and inclusion

Representing the Fund: Experience of representing an organisation or something similar and willingness to represent the Fund at public events with a commitment to the principles of holding a public post

Equity Diversity and Inclusion: Understanding and commitment to achieving equity, diversity and inclusion and its advancement in the context of a public body and a funder

Governance: Awareness of the importance of governance frameworks in line with The National Lottery Community Funds strategy and public responsibility
Important Information
Agreement: This is a non-executive role requiring a time commitment of around 2 days per month (although this may vary from month to month) and is for a term of two years.
Salary: The role is remunerated at a rate of £5,232 per annum, following completion of the compulsory Young Trustee Movement 6mth Board Boost Programme which starts November 2024. Please see further details in pack. [This £3000 training is paid for by The National Lottery Community Fund]
