The role

We are looking to recruit a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) FP&A Manager to lead a newly established Business Planning team for the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The Foundation has an annual expenditure of £17m and employs 180 people in the UK, Ireland, India and the USA. We are anticipating further growth in the coming years. 

Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead all aspects of the annual business planning and budgeting cycle and monthly reporting to the Foundation’s management and Trustees. You will partner with the Foundation’s Financial Controller and leadership team to provide insight and help inform decision making. The role will include financial planning, budgeting and analysis, and management accounting. You will lead a highly-skilled team, including the current Business Operations Manager and a Finance Apprentice.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an international organisation. You will have strong analytical ability and attention to detail and excellent business partnering skills. You will be accustomed to working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and will be used to presenting and communicating financial information to non-finance people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. 

• Partner with the leadership team to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

• Work closely with the leadership team, providing financial expertise and guidance to support decision-making and optimise resource allocation across products and programmes.

• Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement across products and programmes.

• Support Fundraising in bid process, providing robust and costed financial data for bids and reports back to funders.

• Embed cross team collaboration and systems between fundraising and finance to establish one source of truth on performance against grants.

• Provide assistance to the financial controller with cash flow forecasting, particularly in relation to timing of receipts of grant income and payment of onward grants.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

 Primary Function

Support the Programmes Director with design, planning, delivery and reporting of current and future Action4Youth Programmes and initiatives. The Programmes Manager will line manage specific programme teams, will have responsibility for working within a set budget and will be a key link with partner organisations ensuring best practice and efficient programme delivery. They will be responsible for monitoring contractual KPI’s and take the lead on reporting and impact measurement of specific programmes.

The Programmes Manager will need to provide cover for all their direct reports, as well having some of their own programme delivery. They will need to be confident with large groups of young people and be able to work flexibly. We are looking for an experienced line manager with good knowledge of HR processes and experience managing multiple different work streams. This a senior role suited to an experienced and insightful manager who will contribute to the strategic growth of Action4Youth.

Action4Youth currently operates a number of programmes/ services. The Programmes Manager will lead on the following; The Junction Youth Centre, The Inspiration Programme and Training/ Membership and Mentoring. You will also be required to assist with delivery and the on call rota for the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme during peak times. Other programmes may be added in future as Action4Youth develops new initiatives based on the needs of the young people we work with. This role will focus on each or any of these as required within Action4Youth’s overall senior team.

The Programmes Manager will directly line manage the Programmes Leader, The Junction Centre Manager and The Inspiration Programme Manager.

Programme Specific duties and responsibilities:

The Junction Youth Centre 

The Junction is a multi service youth centre based in High Wycombe town centre, it is open 7 days a week from 4-9pm. The Junction is for young people aged 12-18 years (up to 25 with SEND) and is funded entirely from Grants and Trusts. The service offers a variety of sessions ranging from a general youth space, health and wellbeing, cooking and 1:1 mentoring.

The Programmes Manager will be expected to work at The Junction one day a week from 2- 9pm and will work with the Centre Manager to ensure the smooth running of the service. You will oversee contractual KPI’s and lead on reporting. This role will include being part of an on-call rota during evening and weekends.

The Inspiration programme

The Inspiration programme is an Action4Youth initiative that aims to broaden horizons and raise aspirations of young people. The programme takes place in schools across Bucks, Milton Keynes and surrounding counties and follows five pillars; Police and Criminal Justice, Health and Wellbeing, Arts and Culture, Community and the Environment and Working Life.

The Programmes Manager will oversee the successful delivery of The Inspiration Programme and support the Inspiration Programme Manager to plan, timetable and deliver high quality programmes. They will be responsible for quality control and will personally deliver at least one TIP programme across the academic year. They will need to work closely with the Development Team on growth of the programme and broaden our reach into more schools and geographical areas.

Training/ Membership and Mentoring

Action4Youth is an umbrella organisation for voluntary youth clubs and groups across Bucks and Milton Keynes. The Programmes Leader provides training, both internally and externally, and line manages the Aylesbury Vale and Milton Keynes Mentor. You will support the Programmes Leader to lead our membership and training programme, achieving set KPI’s, and ensure the smooth delivery of our mentoring programme.

NCS

NCS is the government’s flagship youth development programme, funded through the NCS Trust. NCS offers 16 and 17 year-olds from different backgrounds the chance to take part in a range of challenging activities away from, and in, their communities.

The Programmes Manager will assist their counterpart in delivery of the NCS programme at peak times; specifically working on seasonal staffing, training and wave management. You will be part of an out of hours on call rota and be required to be on site on programme start and finish days. When on call you will be required to provide programme guidance and support on safeguarding and incidents.

 Key Tasks and Deliverables

•  Work closely with the Programmes Director, Programmes Manager and your direct reports to ensure the successful and effective implementation of the above programmes
• Assist with out of hours on call duties for NCS residentials and The Junction Youth Centre- this will include incident management and safeguarding support
• Provide day to day management of the assigned projects ensuring effective programme delivery
• Plan projects, monitor overall progress, manage risks, opportunities and resolve issues as required to keep projects on track to agreed baselines and objectives.
• Provide direct line management to staff of the assigned programmes
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and provide workable solutions to challenges/ barriers that may affect delivery
• Deliver programmes within set budgets and report planned and actuals to the Programmes Director/ funders.
• Report progress of projects at regular intervals to the Programmes Director.
• Ensure that reviews/meetings are appropriately conducted in line with the governance framework by chairing reviews and presenting progress reports to the Senior Management Team and external partners.
• Regularly review against agreed standards to ensure that project requirements are being met.
• Ensure you are well informed of contractual requirements and be able to adapt to changes in delivery requirements quickly and effectively.
• In this senior role you will have strategic responsibility for managing areas of activity involving the young people that we work with. You will have significant responsibility for Safeguarding and the safety of young people as they interact with the organisation.
• Raising the profile of Action4Youth, young people, the value of youth work and promote non-formal learning.

About this job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced individual with experience in project management who also loves working directly with the people we support. The ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences and deliver the project objectives will be essential for this role.

This is a ‘time-limited’ ‘test and learn’ externally funded project. The ‘Community Connections project’ – will help people living with and affected by MS to navigate support services ensuring that they have access to the support they require, at the time of their choice, and is delivered in a way that best suits their individual needs.

This is a fixed-term project until March 2026.This is a full time role comprising of 35 hours per week.

This role is specifically focused on South West England and will require extensive travel to regions such as Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire. Home working will be considered for applicants residing outside these regions.

Working closely with people affected by MS, Key external partners, our funder Wales and West Utilities, the Service and Support Team, the Cymru Director, and the wider MS Society teams. You will be outcome-focused and deliver tangible results. You will need to forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders and represent the MS Society at key meetings and events in the project area.

This role can be based anywhere in Wales but there will be an expectation of travel throughout Wales and the project area (Wales, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire), the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.

Job Title: Finance Officer
Reporting to: HQ Finance Manager

Street Child is one of the world's fastest-growing children's charities. In less than 15 years we have made a material impact on the lives of nearly a million children - but the desire, potential and need to go so much further, and to reach millions more children in need of safety and a quality education, is what motivates us every day. Strong finance functions underpin everything that we want to achieve as an organisation and this role is a vital part of this.

Role Purpose:

This role is a key member of the busy HQ finance function. The role is primarily focused on HQ finances and will also work with the colleagues across our global finance team. The role offers the chance to work across a number of finance functions, including: management accounting, supporting year end audit, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and working on some of the subsidiary charities; and so it provides a great opportunity to experience the full breadth of finance work in a charity across all functions in a varied and interesting role.

It is essential that the applicant can juggle the complexities of a busy role with has varied work priorities. Key stakeholders are the HQ Finance Manager, Finance Director and the HQ based fundraising team. The role works alongside the Finance Assistant and plays a role in oversight and coaching of this role. Street Child is implementing a new CRM system and this role will feed into the development of new processes and procedures and use both the CRM and finance system and ensure full reconciliation and data trail between the two systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1) (40%) Deliver all functions related to Accounts Receivable and CRM:

• Ensure that all income from a variety of different sources is correctly and accurately recorded in the finance system and CRM (which is under development) on a weekly basis.
• Supporting with work on accounts receivable including accessing, downloading and saving in a systematic manner reports from donor portals, bank account and other sources.
• Working with colleagues in Fundraising to analyse and code income reports in Excel and uploading it to the Finance system on a timely basis, at least weekly. Following up on how to code any income which is not allocated to a source.
• Working closely with colleagues in Fundraising to ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances from customers, and sending out monthly debtor balance statements.
• Raising donor invoices and requests for payments, and issuing donor receipts.
• Income and customer account reconciliations and revaluations.
• Any other responsibilities relating to Accounts Receivable.

2) (40%) Month end reporting and reconciliation and subsidiary accounts:

• Complete all balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and petty cash reconciliations and submit for approval by HQ Finance Manager.
• Once CRM system is in place, undertake reconciliation processes between finance data and CRM data.
• Carry out monthly revaluations of bank accounts.
• Ensuring supporting information for transactions is correctly stored in electronic format on Teams such as bank statements, remittance advices, credit statements.
• Assist in preparation of internal reports, including working with Operations Department and Finance department to review their monthly reports.
• Take responsibility to deliver the management accounts of two subsidiary companies: Children in Crisis and HQ transactions of Africa Educational Trust.
• Compile information for Gift Aid returns.
• General support and assistance to the team including administrative duties and managing the office post.
• Other ad hoc support to the wider operations team as may be required.
• Audit: support with the year end audit and provision of supporting information to auditors.

3) (20%) Lead the Accounts Payable process:

• Whilst the Finance Assistant is responsible for all payments, the Finance Officer has a lead role in ensuring that all invoices are paid on time, in an efficient manner and that the finance system reflects the transactions within the correct accounting period and correctly coded in the system – including account code, cost centre, project code and donor code.
• Determine most efficient payment platform to process international payments, and ensure that recorded in the finance system at the correct conversion rate.
• Be a point of contact with the Foreign exchange agents to quickly resolve any questions.
• Work with the Finance Assistant to ensure accurate and timely recording of all approved supplier invoices, requisitions, staff expenses and other expenditure in the accounting system and that all supporting documentation for all transactions are uploaded.
• Ensuring that there are at least two payment runs a week and additional runs as required; overseeing the process to ensure that all invoices for payment are correctly approved by the budget holder, setting up payments on online banking platforms and sending out requests for payment approvals to payment authorisers and verifying that all payments are fully approved in the banking platforms by the deadline set. Providing cover to set up payments when the Finance Assistant is not available.
• Managing monthly staff credit card reconciliations and ensure that these are returned on time with all receipts and invoices and checking and reviewing classifications, with follow up as required.
• Carry out monthly Creditor account reconciliations ensuring that all balances are valid and backed up with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Fully deliver the set up all payroll payments in time for the monthly pay day. This involves ensuring correct amount and currency of payment (which may differ from the salary of the individual’s employment contract) and method of payment across all HQ staff.
• Any other responsibilities from time to time.

Growing Hope Senior Finance Officer

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus. Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. We have three clinics, King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe, and we are currently setting up our fourth and fifth clinics in Maidstone and Redbridge. We worked with over 500 children, young people, parents, carers and siblings in 2023. As a national charity Growing Hope has trained over 1,000 professionals & parents. We are continuing to expand, with the set-up of further local clinics on the horizon.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional with great attention to detail, strong analytical skills and an ability to work in a fast pace environment. The role will report to the Director of Operations and will involve running book keeping, reporting and banking functions as well as overseeing payroll. This role supports the national Growing Hope charity and each of the local charities’ (clinics) accounting for around £1 million collectively each year. You will be joining a small and dedicated national team of eleven.

Job Purpose
Growing Hope requires an experienced finance professional (with part qualifications) who will be responsible for the delivery of internal financial management systems and controls, and for maintaining accurate financial management records, including managing the process of producing annual accounts. This role covers both the national charity and the local Growing Hope charities which are growing across the UK. The national charity raises around £600,000 per year and the local charities around £50,000-£100,000. The Senior Finance Officer will support the charities with day to day book keeping, raising invoices, paying expenses, scheduling payroll payments and running management reports and accounts. This job role also involves advising on budgets for fundraising project proposals and working closely with the supporter engagement team. This individual will be able to communicate effectively with all the relevant parties including the national Growing Hope team, the local Clinic Managers, and local finance trustees who have overall governance of each charity’s finances.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Book keeping & Finance processes

• Processing of accounts using Quickbooks for each Growing Hope charity in a timely manner (currently 6 small charities)

• Invoicing local Growing Hope charities each month for book keeping, payroll and quickbooks.
• Running gift aid claims and supporting volunteers to run this across the Growing Hope charities.

Populo Living are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning. Populo Living is a development and housing company wholly owned by a single shareholder, Newham Council. Populo Living enable Newham to keep control of Council land and build high quality, low carbon homes and neighbourhoods whilst retaining the developer profit for Newham Council, in the form of new affordable homes and long-term investment income.

The role of Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning will lead, manage and co-ordinate the provision of the Groups Financial Planning, Treasury Management Services and Management Accounting functions as well as assist the Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance team.

The role:

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of four with two direct reports.
• Lead on all treasury related matters for the group such as arranging new funding, loan compliance, cashflow and banking.
• Lead on the organisation’s annual financial plan, including extensive sensitivity analysis of key performance indicators.
• Lead on the review of management accounts and production of board papers.
• Attend relevant committees and board meetings as required.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Deputise for the Director of Finance and Resources as required.
• Support the Financial Controller to deliver year end accounts.

• Oversee cashflow forecasting, managing all cash and loan balances.

Essential criteria:

• Fully qualified Accountant.
• Previous experience working in either social housing, a commercial house builder or residential lettings.
• Experience developing and delivering on treasury strategy.
• Technical knowledge around long term planning AND management accounting forecasting.
• Strong people management skills as well as being resilient and have an appetite for change.

This position requires someone able to commit to working three days per week from Populo’s head office in Stratford. Benefits include 30 days of annual leave and an employee pension contribution scheme of 10%.

This is a new role for The Connection at St Martin’s and reflects our ambitions to deliver housing opportunities for our clients. In our strategy we aim to ensure that 300 of our clients are successfully and sustainably housed. 

This is an ambitious target and the person holding the role will need to deliver our existing accommodation services while continuing to network and create relationships with other organisations to bring more opportunities to our clients.

The person in this role will be responsible for managing relationships with existing partners and funders while also securing new partners and funders as necessary to deliver our strategic aim of delivering housing solutions.
