CISV International are looking for an experienced administrator to join the Risk Management and Safeguarding team as the Risk Management Support Officer.

We provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021). The Team
This role sits within akt as part of the Digital team and is supervised by the Senior Services Manager.
Job Summary
Please note there is one job available that can be based at any of our office locations in London, Manchester, Newcastle or Bristol.
- Support, develop and supervise staff, students and volunteers building a strong and dynamic team culture, and ensure the Team understands, recognises, and meets the needs and expectations of akt’s service users.
- To work as part of the Services Management team and wider akt Management team, attend relevant meetings and complete actionable tasks.
- Be accountable for the budget relating to Digital Services.
- Take responsibility for the management of specific projects relating to service delivery.
- Lead on the continued development of live chat ensuring akt takes advantage of technological advantages that are relevant.
- Alongside the Senior Services Manager ensure our digital offer meets all the current and potential needs of young people.
- Manage team to assess the needs of young LGBTQ+ people who are homeless, vulnerably housed, or in a hostile environment, and to carry out signposting and brief intervention.
- Manage and support team to support young people through casework including managing risk, case file reviews, and support around housing pathways and options.
- Maintain and deliver the performance management reports and quarterly data scrutiny for Digital Services and participate in Services Committees to offer feedback on local performance as required.
- Develop tools that monitor the impact of the digital work for those accessing the service.
- Offer support to volunteers around digital engagement including live chat.
- Alongside Marketing and Communications and other Services Managers, create and maintain digital resources and signposting to allow akt to engage with young people needs and signpost appropriately.

Forcesline is SSAFA's frontline telephone service handling both day-to-day and more complex enquiries from the Armed Forces community.
This role is responsible for the management and development of the Forcesline service and will also act as point of contact for the Veterans Gateway. The Manager will lead and support a team of advisors, developing the service in response to the needs of the clients and technological requirements, as well as ensuring a high quality of service. This role requires the management of a small team of advisors who provide free confidential listening, information and signposting service for serving personnel, their families, veterans and professionals who are looking for help. About the team
You will work with a great team of advisors who are both experienced and skilled. All Forcesline Welfare Advisors are trained in Safeguarding and each practitioner has at least a Level 2 Counselling qualification. Their experience covers former Samaritans, Pastrol Care, Social Work and Police Despatch Calling. As a team they learn and support one another. You as their Manager will be fully involved with this and will ensure SSAFA delivers on its mission as a trusted source of support to the Armed Forces Community as their times of need.
About you
You will have had experience in delivering welfare support to others, and ideally this has been gained through a helpline. While the team is small, some management experience would be desirable. You will also need to be technically competent as most of this work will be done virtually through digital means.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

Send My Friend to School Campaign Manager
This is a full time post, based in central London Salary: £40,291
The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. There is likely to be occasional evening and weekend work involved, for which time off in lieu will be received. Holidays are 25 days pro rata per year plus bank holidays. Results UK’s terms and conditions of employment will apply.
Line Management
Although working solely on Send My Friend to School coalition activities the Campaign Manager will be employed as part of the Results UK team. Consequently, they will be formally managed by the Results UK Head of Parliamentary Advocacy in terms of workplace-related and employment issues.
The postholder’s work objectives will be agreed and monitored by the Steering Group and the postholder will report to the Steering Group on work priorities, objectives and outcomes.

Manage the design and production of schools materials and learning resources, including sourcing suppliers, story gathering in conjunction with coalition partners, content production and editing

Oversee the development and promotion of a creative action which is appropriate for a schools audience, is highly innovative and allows for varied levels of engagement and activity: work with coalition colleagues in devising and promoting the campaign through member organisations’ networks and more widely through additional education channels, social media and websites, to ensure mass participation

Manage the development and promotion of the Send My Friend to School website, social media, e-communications to supporters and writing and editing engaging digital communications

Be accountable for the coalitions’ youth work activities (Campaign Champions Programme and Young Ambassadors Network) that are managed by the Campaigns Officer

Manage internal communications for the coalition and undertake engagement work with coalition member representatives to ensure active participation in coalition activities, good information flows, and to help ensure that activities across the coalition are well aligned and strategic

Be the first point of contact for existing and potential coalition members and developing new partnerships, for instance with other campaigning organisations working on education for all

Organise Joint Working Group and Steering Group meetings, ensuring that minutes are written up (by Campaigns Officer) and action points are taken forward

Manage the coalition budget and financial reporting to the Steering Group, and undertake an annual fundraising drive from coalition members

Maintain and update the website with news, publications and relevant content and ensure member lists and email groups are kept up to date

Act as the UK link person with GCE International – the primary point of contact for GCE regionally (Europe and North America) as well as internationally/globally - researching and compiling coalition updates where required, participating in international conference calls, fielding appropriate information to coalition members and collating feedback as necessary

Collaborate with working group members and the APPG secretariat on planning and delivery of activities including policy papers, launch events or meetings with parliamentarians

Charity People are working with a social welfare charity to find them a new Digital Projects Officer, to help project manage a range of digital initiatives and support with implementation and effectiveness of the charity's operations. Working in a small team, you will assist the Digital Projects Manager to identify opportunities for digital improvements with existing processes, and to upskill staff to use new and existing digital tools. You will help lead on digital projects for the charity, to help scope requirements, understand regulatory needs, costs, and advise on process and implementation. You will source, manage, and assess suppliers and agencies for digital projects.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player who thrives working as part of a small collaborative team and has strong experience of working successfully in a similar digital project's role for a large charitable organisation with recent knowledge of digital and fundraising innovations, best practice, and compliance requirements.
You will require an understanding of implementing large and complex digital projects including project scoping, and experience of analysing and reporting on KPIs to monitor service performance. Therefore, the team require someone who has worked in a digital projects role in the sector, who has the confidence to come in and take ownership of projects.
The role is set to start early October with interviews being held at the end of September.
Please note, the hourly rate will be based on the working arrangements. If the successful postholder requires remote working then the hourly rate is based on a salary of £32,590 per annum, if the candidate works two days per week in the London office, then the hourly rate would be based on £36,502 per annum.
