The Direct Marketing Executive will be a key role within the Acquisition & Development Team, supporting the team and its activities as a whole, but also owning and becoming the expert in specific areas in line with the Fundraising Strategy. Specific areas of focus currently are around digital acquisition, and with a particular focus on ensuring detailed tracking and reporting are in place for all campaigns across the team.
This role sits within the Individual Giving and Legacy team reporting to the Development Lead. It also works closely with the wider Acquisition & Development Manager, the wider Fundraising Division, and cross functionally with other teams within the organisation.

The Role

The Digital Optimisation Analyst is instrumental in advancing Christian Aid's digital strategy and supporting colleagues in achieving digital, fundraising and supporter engagement goals. Through utilising measurable data and analytical tools such as Google Analytics, the role provides in-depth campaign analyses, performance reports, and a deep dive into users' online activities and behaviours. You will be the go-to expert in digital analysis (particularly GA4), working closely alongside a variety of teams to maximise the reach, engagement and conversion of digital journeys.
Key skills include:
· Demonstrates significant working knowledge/experience specialising in digital analysis and Insight
· Significant experience in producing analysis/reports with strong narratives from a variety of digital sources (including Google Analytics 4, email marketing, social insight, META and other tracking/performance monitoring tools) to inform and optimise marketing, fundraising and conversion rate strategies.
· Proficiency in statistical analysis to identify trends in data (e.g. descriptive and comparative statistics correlation, hypothesis testing, regression/data modelling), robust A/B testing, and project optimisation.
· Advanced understanding of tools and frameworks for monitoring the performance of digital marketing and products, including Google Analytics dashboards and custom reports.
· Advanced understanding of Google Analytics 4 (including funnel analysis, segmentation, and ecommerce tracking), Tag Manager, Hotjar (or equivalent), Content Square, Power BI, and Looker Studio.
· Ability to manage external suppliers that provide these tools and services.
· Able to interrogate relevant data sources to support the development of supporter journeys and identify problems/potential solutions to conversion, efficiencies, and user experience.
· Maintain and develop tracking requirements for website features and activities.
· Knowledge and application of tag management systems, including editing of tags.
· Experience developing and working on fundraising and campaigning KPIs and models.
· Experience in integrating digital data sources with CRM database systems.

This is a newly created and pivotal role in The Aspinall Foundation’s small fundraising team. The Fundraising Administration Executive will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of the charity’s key adoption fundraising programme and supporting the effective running of the Department as a whole.
The Fundraising Administration Executive will administer The Aspinall Foundation supporter database (Donorfy) including maintaining accurate contact details and contact preferences, in line with GDPR consent, and gift aid eligibility. You will prepare and collect direct debit payments, oversee the import and administration of all new regular givers, accurately record all income, manage supporter communication, administer digital and third-party adoption platforms, and provide ad hoc support with project administration or event facilitation.

Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will be looking to advance their career in fundraising, and will be dedicated to providing supporters with an exceptional experience, ensuring they feel supported and appreciated every step of the way.
You will have a proven track record and passion for delivering outstanding customer service, with excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail. You will have prior experience using a CRM database, alongside excellent IT skills including the use of MS office applications. You have the ability to work flexibly, be responsive to changing demands, and work collaboratively as part of a busy team, pitching in whenever and wherever needed.
You will have an interest or connection to our cause and a real desire to help the rewilding of animals and animal conservation. Previous experience of working in the charity sector, and knowledge of GDPR is desirable.
Contract details:
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9-5pm. This role is based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve near Folkestone and Ashford. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location

- Be responsible for managing retention campaigns, coordinating with a number of different stakeholders, both internal and externally.

- Experience of working with data for fundraising purposes, either in using a database to select and segment data or of producing briefs to do so.
- Work with the Senior Individual Giving Fundraisers to deliver campaigns against agreed budgets

The Passage are a London based charity providing homeless people with the support to transform their lives. About the role
As the new Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will oversee the stewardship of some of their most passionate supporters, working closely with dedicated volunteers, community groups, and overseeing key charity events. Your focus will be on harnessing the enthusiasm and commitment of fundraisers in the community, motivating and guiding them to maximize their contributions.
You will also actively support the planning and execution of our bespoke Walk to End Homelessness event, alongside leading on our annual Spring Concert and contributing to the growth of our third-party event series.
Responsibilities:
Community and Events Fundraising:
- Help deliver the teams' existing events and community fundraising products, growing net income and actively seeking new opportunities for expansion.
- Develop a range of new fundraising products and assets to support all aspects of the community fundraising programme in line with our values and key messages.
- Act as an ambassador for The Passage with community groups, personally delivering talks and presentations to build relationships and promote our work.
- Manage and oversee a programme of station and street collections, ensuring that volunteers are trained and equipped to represent The Passage with the public
- Manage current community and events fundraising relationships with individual supporters and groups by providing outstanding, tailored stewardship to generate income.
- Help deliver and develop a range of The Passage owned and third-party events and activities.
- Work with the digital marketing and comms team to produce engaging, accessible content and campaigns across web, social, email and paid digital activity to promote fundraising products and activity.
- Research and recommend new ways of raising funds and generating income through community fundraising.
Budgets and planning:
- Produce and manage the Community Fundraising income and expenditure annual plan and budget.
- Work with the Senior Events and Community Manager to regularly review performance, report variances against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
- Monitor income and KPIs against agreed budgets and targets, taking action to address any shortfall.
People management:
- Provide all aspects of line management support, development and coaching to the Fundraising Assistant.
- Recruit, train, manage and inspire volunteers to deliver agreed aspects of the fundraising plan.

The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser in community and events with strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide variety of individuals.
