An exciting opportunity for a Health Partnerships Manager has arisen at World Cancer Research Fund. 

World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed choices to reduce their cancer risk.

We are seeking a Health Partnerships Manager to play a key role delivering on our strategy to support health professionals, with responsibility for developing partnerships and marketing campaigns which progress this work and widen its reach. The role also line manages the Health Information Officer and supports the development and marketing of our cancer prevention information and support for the general public.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of clinical/public health stakeholder engagement at all levels and of developing successful partnerships with other organisations. An in-depth understanding of the UK health sector and the educational landscape for health professionals is essential.

They will have a proven track record of developing marketing campaigns for health professional and consumer audiences, collaborating with creative specialists and deploying and optimising a range of cost effective marketing methods. Their understanding of good practice in developing evidence-based health information will enable them to support accurate and engaging communication across digital and print.

They will be skilled in communicating verbally and in writing and use their interpersonal skills to build and maintain fruitful working relationships internally and externally. They will be a strong project manager, deadline and results focused, with the drive to reach new audiences with our important messages and support.

This role is one of two Development Managers who share responsibility for raising funds from trusts and foundations, and each also manage a discrete other area of fundraising. This role leads on individual giving, while the other focuses on corporate giving relationships.

We are looking for a personable and intuitive candidate who loves making connections. You’ll have great written and verbal communication skills, combining your desk-based work with meetings and events that bring Clean Break’s work to life.

You’ll be confident in adapting information for a variety of different audiences, creating high-quality, persuasive proposals and compelling cases for support, clearly demonstrating the life-changing impact of our work.

You’ll have an eye for detail, strong financial acumen and a strategic approach to fundraising: considering a variety of approaches and identifying new opportunities. You’ll be someone who loves crafting new initiatives and campaigns but who also understands the importance of excellent database management and well-informed research.

The role will support the Trust to expand and diversify our audience and supporter base through creative, targeted and effective marketing of events and programming. It will also support the generation of commercial and philanthropic income, through strategic fundraising campaigns and raising the profile of the park. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all channels including digital communications (website, e-newsletter, social media) as well as handling press/ media, print and working with the grounds team on in-park communications.

Subject to funding award, we are recruiting for a dedicated Marketing Manager to join the IPS Grow team. The role holder will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing initiatives to support the expansion and effectiveness of IPS.

IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by Social Finance in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Head of Workforce & Engagement, Marketing Executive and other team members to achieve communication goals outlined in the IPS Grow Communications Strategy. You will play a pivotal role in implementing and delivering innovative marketing strategies to raise the profile of IPS as well as create and edit content for offline and/or digital marketing channels, such as website, social media, marketing materials, blogs, or newsletters. This is a varied role where you will have creative input and commitment to telling the inspiring stories within IPS and carrying out creative communications which have real impact.

The key requirements of the role are:

Marketing and Communications

· Develop and implement marketing initiatives to achieve the goals of the IPS Grow Communications Strategy.

· Enhance stakeholder collaboration and communication through targeted campaigns and regular updates.

· Take direction from the Head of Workforce & Engagement and wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to build a narrative and engagement around IPS and employment as a health outcome.

· Provide regular updates to the SLT.

· Provide direct support to IPS services on their marketing plans, including reviewing newsletters and copyediting press releases.

· Enhance engagement with policymakers, clinicians, and IPS providers.

Content Creation and Management

· Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to ensure consistency and quality in all marketing materials.

 Events, webinars and Campaigns:

· Plan and execute events, webinars, and workshops to foster a network and community for IPS services.

· Lead on the planning and delivery of an in-person annual conference

· Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to promote IPS and raise its profile among various audiences.

· Coordinate participation in awareness days and national events to increase visibility of IPS.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communication strategies.

· Track engagement metrics and provide regular reports on the impact of marketing activities.

Team Leadership:

· Supervise and mentor the Marketing Executive, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives.

Ideal candidates will have:

· Marketing experience. Proven management experience in a marketing role, ideally within the healthcare sector (E). Proficient skills in digital marketing, content creation and social media management (E). Experience using CMS, CRM systems and marketing analytic tools (E).

Global Fund for Children is looking for a Senior Manager to join our global Marketing and Communications Team in an exciting new role. Your main responsibility is to help us collectively deliver inspiring, impactful engagement that builds our brand relevance with our target audiences.

This role will work to develop integrated and cross-discipline marketing and communications plans that promote our work and reputation.  You will collaborate with senior leadership and engage with key stakeholders, colleagues and partners around the world. You will be the strategic lead on our digital channels and are joining at a key moment of opportunity - we are launching a new website in October. About you

Essential experience and skills

Our ideal Senior Manager in Marketing and Communications will:

1) Have significant proven experience working in a high-functioning, target-driven Marketing and Communications team, where you have a track record of success in meeting targets and objectives.

2) Have significant relevant experience in leading multiple functions within a marketing and communications setting, this can be in any setting but must include leadership of Digital as part of your experience. Could also include Brand Narrative and Copy; Celebrities and Influencers; Events or others relevant to the role.

3) Have significant, proven experience in setting up, leading, and executing digital strategies to achieve ambitious targets across multiple channels

4) Be an experienced, value-led people manager, with a passion for supporting and developing people to achieve their potential.

5) Have event management experience – be highly organised,  target and audience-focused, and be able to juggle multiple tasks, and stakeholders simultaneously.

6) Have experience working with high-profile, influential supporters to lead our Global Ambassador programme – Have the ability to identify prospects, and initiate and cultivate relationships.

7) Be creative, strategic and curious in order to lead and deliver our ambitious plans in service of our partners and our mission.

This is an exciting time to join our team in the Development, Alumni and Campaigns Office, and we wish to appoint an individual who shares our passion for the future of UEA. You will join a dedicated and enthusiastic team responsible for securing philanthropic income to support the University. Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, you will build and manage a portfolio of relationships which will advance the activities of the University. You will recruit, cultivate, solicit and manage a portfolio of major donor prospects, to secure 5 - 6 figure donations towards the University’s new £100m fundraising campaign (launching Autumn 2024).

• Lead the development and delivery of Individual Giving strategies, leading on MAP’s Individual Giving and Mid-Value retention strategy with a focus on growth and lifetime value.
• Work across and develop MAP’s retention products, appeals and journeys, including playing a vital role in delivering multi-million-pound integrated campaigns during Ramadan and Winter.

Planning & Management of Campaigns

• Collaborate with the Head of team and peers to develop team plans aligned with the Fundraising strategy.
• Ensure the team create and optimize insight-driven, supporter-led campaigns., working with the Marketing Manager and Insights lead
• Ensure processes and systems are in place to track and meet KPIs, including the development of robust testing plans to optimize campaigns based on insights.
• Manage and motivate a range of agency partners and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising legislation and stay updated on changes in relevant thinking and laws.

Innovation

• Lead the investigation, testing, and implementation of product innovations utilising agile methods to test and learn with efficiency.
• Develop bespoke, audience-led supporter journeys, including ongoing journeys for UK and international supporters.

Budget Management

• Create annual budgets for the Individual Giving Programme, setting income and expenditure targets, with support from the Head of team.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in fundraising and/or marketing, with experience of direct marketing and developing supporter/customer journeys and campaigns to build long-term loyalty, engagement and income growth through cash and regular giving.
• You’ll have experience of end-to-end project management, including managing multiple projects and priorities at once.
• Experience in leading multi-channel, data-led fundraising and/or marketing appeals with evidence of income growth across channels including mail, email, SMS and TM.
• Strong track record in developing direct marketing strategies.
• Experience in strategic planning, project management, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience of managing external stakeholders and agency partners – including creative/DM, print, SMS/TM and fulfilment agencies.
• Experience in analysing and presenting data for informed decision-making, as well as leading others to develop testing plans and optimise campaigns.

Main responsibilities

· Development and implementation of a fundraising strategy including a portfolio aimed at generating in the region of £500,000 per annum, building on existing fundraising activities and developing new fundraising initiatives.

· Use the portfolio indicators to enable us to make informed projections regarding future income.

· Be proactive in identifying, engaging and building good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Deepen our engagement and grow our relationship with existing corporate donors.

· Work with the team to develop our church and faith partnerships to ensure these are increased, ongoing and become regular supporters.

· Explore and implement ways of promoting Good Company and its projects to successfully attract individual donors, some of which will be in the high value supporters' field alongside provide regular communications to current funders and run one off campaigns.

· Explore and increase our income from grant giving trusts and foundations. At times working in fundraising partnerships with support of external consultants and colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network

· Implement a CRM system to oversee the above aspects.

· Share best practice and learning from other charities across the Trussell network.

· Support our partnership work with other Trussell based foodbanks in Surrey to address poverty.

The new role of Strategic Communications Manager offers a unique opportunity to co-create the communications strategy for a growing, mission-driven organisation at the cutting edge of climate litigation and contribute to the climate justice movement worldwide.

ABOUT THE ROLE. CLN is a non-profit foundation that supports partners across the world to drive stronger climate action through litigation against high-emitting actors. We are now looking for a new Strategic Communications Manager to help us leverage the power of this litigation to shape global narratives that will exert pressure on governments and companies to take urgent climate action. Key responsibilities include:

● Develop CLN’s communications strategy for shifting narratives in support of climate action. You will do this in collaboration with CLN leadership and partners, including national legal and advocacy teams, international organisations and existing communications networks. This will include identifying proactive and reactive shared communications strategies that partners in our field can execute to maximise the impact of climate litigation and drive the message globally that climate action is a legal duty.

● Identify, develop and implement strategies to shift global media narratives on high-profile government and corporate cases. This will include crafting a global narrative or narratives around legal action, connecting that with wider climate efforts, and establishing strong working relationships with key international journalists as well as PR teams within relevant partners to ensure the right story is being told on this critical issue.

● Identify and develop opportunities within the global network of climate litigators to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing in relation to communications and advocacy strategies to support climate litigation. This should include contributing to monitoring, evaluation and reporting on communications, ensuring this work results in actionable insights that can feed back into strategies and ongoing campaigns.

● Champion and communicate the ongoing successes and impacts of climate cases in CLN’s network. This will include acting as an information broker for other climate campaigners and communicators to ensure cases are properly understood and amplified by other climate, environmental and human rights groups. It will also involve developing case studies to effectively communicate around cases and their impacts.

● Support national teams by providing guidance as needed on strategic communications and how to fit national campaigns into the global conversation around climate litigation and accountability.

● Identify and address strategic communications capacity gaps across our network. This will include identifying and addressing training needs for spokespeople (both at CLN and across our partner network), messaging and framing, and digital campaigns and advocacy.

● Lead on managing and maintaining CLN’s external communications. This will include defining our external positioning, maintaining our website and relevant social media channels, and responding to media enquiries.

Given the start-up and evolving nature of our organisation, we expect that there may be changes to how this role works in practice once the right candidate is in post.

Frazzled Cafe is a small mental health and wellbeing charity founded by Ruby Wax OBE, that provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where people who are feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life can meet on a regular basis to talk and share their personal stories.

As part of our exciting plans for growth, we are seeking a Development Manager to lead on the organisation’s fundraising and communications to fulfil our mission and play a key role in supporting the next phase of Frazzled Cafe’s growth and development.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy with a range of fundraising activities focusing primarily on trusts and foundations but also individual donors, corporate partners and fundraising campaigns. You will also lead on creating a communications strategy to significantly grow our reach, brand and impact. Working with our Training and Programmes Manager, you will support our plans to expand our network of fantastic Volunteer Facilitators. 

This is an exciting, creative and flexible opportunity for the right person. The ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrable successful track record in fundraising, alongside the skills of a talented and persuasive communicator and relationship builder. They will be creative, solution focussed, willing to get stuck in and have good humour.

MAIN TASKS

Fundraising

● Lead on developing and delivering an annual fundraising strategy to support our ambitious plans for growth, securing a minimum of £250k per year from Trusts and Foundations, individual donors, fundraising events and campaigns, and corporate partnerships.

● Research and generate a pipeline of funding applications, including multi-year grant opportunities from Trusts and Foundations

● Lead on writing compelling applications and conversations with funders, talking persuasively and informatively about Frazzled Cafe’s work and impact

● Work with the CEO and trustees to develop new relationships with individual donors and strengthen partnerships with existing supporters

● Work with the CEO and Head of Training and Programmes to develop new opportunities for corporate sponsorship and partnerships

● Lead on organising fundraising events such as dinners with major funders and initiate and develop other opportunities for fundraising.

● Lead on Frazzled Cafe’s annual Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign and identify any other fundraising campaign opportunities throughout the year, with support from the Project Support and Administration Officer

● Prepare regular reports and updates for our funders, engaging them with our work and the impact of their support

● Ensure that Frazzled Cafe’s fundraising work is GDPR compliant and meets best practice standards.

Marketing and Communications

● Lead on the development of Frazzled Cafe’s first communications strategy to drive awareness and demand, grow our audiences and scale our impact.

● Work with the Project Support and Administration Officer to manage Frazzled Cafe’s socials, newsletters and website, growing engagement across all our channels

● Work with the Head of Training and Programmes to develop a communications strategy to attract and recruit more Volunteer Facilitators and attendees for our programme

Person Specification:
