Your Profile:

We’re looking for a Marketing Officer to join our fast-paced, friendly marketing team on a fixed term contract until the end of June 2025. Summary

Livingstone Tanzania Trust (LTT) was set up in 2007. To achieve this, we focus on infrastructure and resource programmes, developing teachers’ competencies and addressing issues surrounding household poverty.

In addition, as a charity, we aim to support our partners in Tanzania to reduce their dependence on us, which we achieve by building their skills to stand on their own feet. This requires us to share our knowledge and provide mentoring services as our partners grow

Working with a team of three LTT employees, as well as Trustees and supporters the key objectives of the Partnerships team is to:

1. Support our ambitious vision: a quality, inclusive education for every child in Tanzania.
2. Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter. 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.

Duties include:

• Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
• Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
• Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
• Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
• Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance 
• Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
• Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
• Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
• Attend team meetings at least twice a year
• Attend relevant third-party events/training as required.
• Attend and assist with some LTT fundraising events.

Key Requirements

• Knowledgeable and passionate about International Development/Education

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a grant fundraising role, with a successful track record of regularly securing 4 and 5 figure grants.

The Role Within Unseen

Unseen provides support to people who have experienced Modern Slavery and Human trafficking and actively champions capturing voices in our work and providing development opportunities for those we are working with. Unseen also engages with a range of external partners to promote and facilitate person-centered and survivor informed responses to exploitation.

We develop evidence-based research and policy recommendations that are built from our support and collaboration work with survivors, key statutory service partners and NGOs. The Policy & Partnerships Officer will support the Policy & Research work of the organisation and support in the coordination of the Southwest Anti-Slavery Partnership to ensure delivery of real and tangible benefits for everyone involved, especially potential victims and survivors.

Purpose of the role

The Policy & Partnerships Officer will support in the delivery of Policy & Research projects and the collation of lived experience voices into our research work. You will work closely with the Policy & Partnerships Manager, the Survivor Involvement Coordinator, Senior Caseworkers and Unseen’s Survivor Consultant Volunteers and be responsible for the survivor consultant focus groups.

You will also support the Policy & Partnerships Manager in the coordination of the Southwest Anti-Slavery Partnership. Unseen facilitates the Avon & Somerset Anti-Slavery Partnership board, the Regional Anti-Slavery Partnership board and Bristol Modern Slavery Operational Partnership. We also support the chairs of other force area partnerships in the region and act as a point of contact in the Southwest, providing advice and guidance to partners and promoting proactive activity to eliminate Modern Slavery.

You will work closely with Unseen’s Policy & Research Team and have regular interactions with staff across Unseen’s wider teams including Support Services, Fundraising, Media & Communications and Operations.

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus. Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. We currently have three clinics, King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe. We worked with over 500 children, young people, parents, carers, siblings and professionals in 2023.

Job Purpose 
Growing Hope is a national charity with a growing number of clinics across the UK. This operations role will provide support across the Growing Hope national staff team. This will include support with administration, finance, fundraising and training. This role is key in enabling all the functions of the national charity to run smoothly and effectively. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow. It is anticipated that this time will be flexible and adjusted according to the needs and priorities at the time. Specifically the role with include: 

IT administration

• Administration of IT systems, logins and spreadsheets for the team, volunteers, staff and freelancers (keeping these up to date and amending systems as required).
• Ordering and setting up IT hardware and software for individuals joining the team.
• Oversight of IT systems used by Growing Hope including ticket tailor, jot form, mail chimp, Microsoft office, google adverts and tracking. Supporting with problem solving when issues arise. 
• Overseeing and training others in Canopy (clinic administration software) and helping support and problem solve with using this. This includes liaising with a freelance software developer to manage the development project.

HR administration

• Oversight of the recruitment checking process for new volunteers, trustees, freelancers and employees. This includes carrying out DBS checks, calling referees, chasing for references and communicating with individuals as they start with Growing Hope.
• Management of the ‘internal news’ list in order to track individuals working closely with the charity. 
• Writing, drafting and sending out HR letters, contracts and contract variations. 
• Organising internal events on behalf of the team including away days, training days and ad hoc events. 
• Organising online training as required for members of the Growing Hope team.

Office Support

• Overseeing the day to day office and building use including the alarm, maintenance visits, wifi, printer and other equipment. This includes liaising with other individuals who have office use.
• Liaising with the Director of Operations around the use of the office.
• Ordering office supplies as required, ensuring office space and storage is kept organised. 
• Supporting with external events planning including finding venues, sponsorship and items needed.
• Ordering equipment as required across the team.
• Ad hoc tasks as required across the team. 

Volunteer admin support

• Processing volunteer applications and induction as required. 
• Oversight of volunteers using the office space on a day to day basis. Including allocating volunteer tasks and explaining and supporting with these as required. 
• Managing volunteer IT access. 

General 

• Sending letters and emails and making phone calls as required.
• Logging all actions on Salesforce database.
• Maintain data protection & confidentiality in line with Growing Hope’s policy.

• This role has an Occupational Requirement to be a Christian, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010.  Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills and attention to detail.

• Develop and implement a policy and public affairs strategy which means Change Mental Health engage with external stakeholders, have key messages disseminated and ensure that the voices of our members and the people we support are heard at all levels.

ROLE PURPOSE

PAN UK is the only charity in the UK focused solely on tackling the problems caused by pesticides and promoting safe and sustainable alternatives in agriculture, urban areas, homes and gardens.

We are looking for a passionate, organised, self-motivated individual with experience of corporate campaigning to lead PAN UK’s highly-impactful supermarket campaign which aims to reduce pesticide-related harms to both human health and the environment. Launched in 2019, the campaign has secured a wide range of wins from getting Tesco to ban 200 toxic pesticides from use within its global supply chains to convincing Co-op, Waitrose, Aldi and Lidl to stop selling synthetic garden pesticides.

As Campaigns Officer, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including; campaign strategy development, meeting with decision-makers, providing feedback on policies, writing communications materials and running events. You do not need to have extensive knowledge of pesticide issues but must be able to pick up new, complex topics quickly and communicate them confidently.

In addition to running the supermarkets campaign, you will be an integral part of a small, high-performing team which is also working to influence national government and local councils. It should be noted that, while in its current iteration this role will focus on PAN UK’s supermarket campaign, the organisation reserves the right to change this focus in the future to another campaign focussed on reducing UK pesticide-harms to human health and the environment.

1. Campaign leadership

Advocacy

· Maintain excellent working relationships with staff from the UK’s ten largest supermarkets, while also playing the role of ‘critical friend’ by pushing them to strengthen their approach to pesticides.

· Meet regularly with individual supermarkets to discuss progress made by the company and make recommendations for further improvements.

· Provide feedback to supermarkets on their existing pesticide-related policies and recommendations for improvements, including collating comments from other PAN UK staff.

· Track progress made by supermarkets on implementing PAN UK’s recommendations by keeping thorough records. 

Communications, mobilisation and events

· Work closely with PAN UK’s Head of Communications to design and launch major outputs and publications.

· Write online and offline communications (including policy documents, press releases, web pages, blogs and social media posts), paying close attention to detail including potential implications for libel.

· Create opportunities to secure media coverage for the campaign and liaise with journalists.

· Create e-actions designed to mobilise members of the public.

· Use PAN UK’s convening power to organise and run events that bring decision-makers together to discuss common obstacles and solutions.

· Give presentations and chair events on behalf of PAN UK.

Strategy

· Lead the other PAN UK staff members through regular reviews of, and updates to, supermarket campaign strategy.

· Spot key opportunities for advancing the aims of the supermarket campaign and design and implement plans for taking advantage of them.

Miscellaneous

· Develop and maintain sufficient expertise in pesticide issues to be able to speak confidently.

· Contribute to funding proposals and donor reports as and when required.

· Track expenditure and sign off significant costs in advance with the Head of Policy & Campaigns.

· Coordinate internally to ensure that all PAN UK staff are able to feed into the campaign, and that we are making best use of our extensive, internal expertise.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Project Assistant to support our Programmes Team in Glasgow on the Reclaiming Our Power project.

Salary: Starting salary £26,125 rising to £29,260 pro rata to 0.5 full time equivalent.

This exciting Project Assistant role will work closely with the Programme Development Officer to support the development and delivery of Reclaiming Our Power. Reclaiming Our Power will explore the impact of racist microaggressions on mental health through creative peer support workshops with people with lived experience of racism, and will use learning to co-design and co-deliver learning opportunities to people working in the public and charity sectors delivering Glasgow’s services.

This project and role are funded with thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland.

What does the role involve?

• Organising events including creative peer support workshops, volunteer meetings, and training sessions
• Supporting the co-development and co-delivery of tailored training to people training/working in public-facing services
• Acting as a key point of contact for group participants and volunteers, building relationships with them and responding to queries and concerns

This role is responsible for supporting the growth, planning and delivery of KCLSU campaigning and organising activity ensuring that elected officers, Academic Associations, Networks and students are enabled and empowered to create strategic, member-led campaigns. Support our members to develop, shape and deliver their agenda, providing advice, coaching and guidance on how to develop impactful campaigns and projects. Work as part of the Student Voice Team to embed campaigning and organising across all areas of our work ensuring that students from every segment of the membership are empowered to make change through campaigns. Enable our communities (Academic Associations, Liberation Networks and Student Representatives) to grow and develop into effective representative bodies.

Responsibilities include:

Growing, planning & delivering KCLSU campaigns

• Provide resources, support and mentoring to student officers and student campaigners, utilising digital and offline organising models of engagement, to support them to develop hard-hitting and effective campaigns.
• Coordinate and work with KCLSU teams to support representatives and members in delivering their campaigns and communicate the impact of campaigning at KCLSU, building interest and recruiting new activists as a result.
• Deliver a range of approaches to student voice engagement, developing diverse methods of participation and innovative practices for facilitating student decision-making, co-creation, and capturing insight.
• Work with external organisations to lead on KCLSU involvement in local, national and NUS campaigns.
• Responsible for measuring and reporting the impact of our campaigns.

Developing Student Representative Communities

• Support Networks, Academic Associations and Campaign groups on-going growth and development, supporting them to build inclusive, active, and intersectional student-led communities.
• Engage with representatives through coaching, building relationships and providing support as they develop and deliver their campaigning and organising agenda.
• Ensure participation in representation is accessible and inclusive, identifying and removing barriers to engagement particularly for low participation groups.

Leadership Development

• Create and deliver training, guidance and ongoing support for Student Officers, Student Representatives and Academic Associations, equipping students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to thrive in their role and feel empowered to grow as community leaders.
• Build strong and nurturing relationships with student representatives and Academic Association leaders, coordinating effective engagement and regular contact with our members.
• Empower students – particularly those from low participation groups - to become student leaders and participate in KCLSU Elections.

The role

With the growth in demand from businesses to join the B Corp movement, we have created this role to assist the Finance team with a range of activities as we move to a new accounting system that meets the needs and demands of our growing organisation.  We outsource the day to day bookeeping work but the Sales Ledger invoicing will remain in house.

We are looking for a team member who has ideas and thoughts on how to improve the way we work and can input into the development of Finance Policy and Procedures.

Tasks and responsibilities will include: 

• Checking the finance email inbox and other forms of communication, dealing with queries, actioning and/or forwarding as appropriate and capturing all relevant information

• Working with Finance Officer and other team members to ensure completeness of member data such as invoicing address, contact details, pricing and credit terms in relevant databases (Salesforce and Xledger)

• Liaising with the outsourced service and internal staff members to ensure supplier queries are resolved and payments are made in a timely manner

• Working with the Head of Finance to prepare year end information for the external audit

• Working with the current Finance Officer to maintain a centralised record of all relevant communications.

• Assist Debit Card holders with administrative tasks linked to card usage

• Working with Finance staff to document and implement financial processes and procedures

We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Officer to support our team campaigning to stop the development of new oil and gas fields and for a rapid and fast phase out of oil & gas in the UK through a just transition.

About us

Uplift is a campaigning and research organisation which supports efforts to create a rapid and fair transition away from oil and gas production in the UK. We have coordinated and implemented major successful campaigns and developed cutting-edge campaign, communications and research tactics. We have grown rapidly as an organisation over the last three years and are now looking for a Social Media Officer.

The Role

Core responsibilities will include: 

• Maintaining and implementing content plan for social media channels (primarily Instagram, X, Tiktok and Facebook) including drafting copy, creating content and ensure consistent posting for all channels with the guidance of Digital campaigner/Digital Campaign Lead and campaign team
• Producing a range of daily digital content for Uplift’s social media channels - from simple social-first graphic design, to lo-fi effective social video content
• Working in collaboration with other creatives - ie graphic designers, video producers, creators and influencers - for additional campaign assets
• Creating reactive content and messaging to respond to current events, helping Uplift maximise opportunities for engagement and growth using the news cycle
• Community management across the various campaign channels
• Developing social media toolkits and coordinating with partners around big mobilisations
• Analysing the performance of social media outputs and their contribution towards the wider campaign, and making recommendations on how to improve
• Managing the distribution of key pieces of social media content to relevant stakeholders to increase online amplification (partners, groups and pages)
• Supporting the campaign team on other digital tasks as required: ie  maintaining campaign websites, digital action tools, online databases and email inbox

About the Role

We are recruiting a Standards Officer to join our small and friendly Standards team.

The role of the Standards function is to monitor newspaper, magazine and digital publishers’ compliance with the Editors’ Code of Practice and to take action to address concerns about editorial standards, including by undertaking investigations into serious standards failures as necessary. It’s a busy team that coordinates closely with others at IPSO and outside the organisation, engaging with members of the public, journalists, and experts on a wide variety of subjects. Some recent issues that the standards team has worked on are reporting of sexual offences, suicide, major incidents, and domestic abuse.

As the Standards Officer, you will carry out a range of tasks, including analysing information drawn from complaints received by IPSO, supporting the annual statements process and engaging with a range of representative groups who have concerns about press reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Standards and other colleagues across IPSO.

About You

This is a role for someone who is interested in news and journalism, has excellent communication and analytical skills, and enjoys working with others to achieve a shared purpose. Candidates who demonstrate relevant experience will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills through a written exercise prior to short-listing for interview. This means that we can measure candidates’ relevant skills directly and make a fairer decision on which applications to take forward.

Senior Programmes Officer: Local First

Salary: £35,800

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Location: You can be based at Peace Direct’s office in London or in The Hague. We also offer hybrid working.

Peace Direct is an international charity that works with local peacebuilders and their allies to shift power and resources for sustainable peace. Local people are the experts in the conflicts that affect their communities, and only they understand what it takes to build peace that lasts. We make sure these local peacebuilders have the resources they need to make peace a reality, and that their work is resourced, acknowledged and supported by the international community.

The role

As Senior Programmes Officer you will closely with our peacebuilding partners to help deliver an ambitious new programme of work. 'Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System' will support local peacebuilders in Mali, Afghanistan, Sudan and eastern DRC to increase prospects for sustainable peace.

Through Local First, Peace Direct will work with policymakers and power holders, supporting them to understand the dysfunctions of the peacebuilding system, and find ways to better support locally-led peacebuilding.

This role is responsible for developing and managing partnerships within the four countries, with initial emphasis on Mali. You will work closely with our other SPOs who manage partnerships in the four countries, and create and manage opportunities to bring partners together to learn from one another. You will also support the development, coordination and delivery of Local First, working closely with the International Programmes Manager and Peace Direct’s Netherlands Office Representative.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate person who can:

• Coordinate and support partnerships with local peacebuilding actors based on mutual accountability and trust. This will require working proficiency in French as well as English.  
• Support the management, coordination and delivery of a complex, multi-country programme across four conflict-affected countries
• Coordinate the development of new work in support of transforming the peacebuilding system in four focus countries
• Contribute to organisational learning and the roll-out of our learning loop
