Job Title: Finance Officer
Reporting to: HQ Finance Manager
Hours: 37.5 per week

Role Purpose:
This role is a key member of the busy HQ finance function. The role is primarily focused on HQ finances and will also work with the colleagues across our global finance team. The role offers the chance to work across a number of finance functions, including: management accounting, supporting year end audit, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and working on some of the subsidiary charities; and so it provides a great opportunity to experience the full breadth of finance work in a charity across all functions in a varied and interesting role.
It is essential that the applicant can juggle the complexities of a busy role with has varied work priorities. Key stakeholders are the HQ Finance Manager, Finance Director and the HQ based fundraising team. The role works alongside the Finance Assistant and plays a role in oversight and coaching of this role. Street Child is implementing a new CRM system and this role will feed into the development of new processes and procedures and use both the CRM and finance system and ensure full reconciliation and data trail between the two systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1) (40%) Deliver all functions related to Accounts Receivable and CRM:
- Ensure that all income from a variety of different sources is correctly and accurately recorded in the finance system and CRM (which is under development) on a weekly basis.
- Supporting with work on accounts receivable including accessing, downloading and saving in a systematic manner reports from donor portals, bank account and other sources.
- Working with colleagues in Fundraising to analyse and code income reports in Excel and uploading it to the Finance system on a timely basis, at least weekly. Following up on how to code any income which is not allocated to a source.
- Working closely with colleagues in Fundraising to ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances from customers, and sending out monthly debtor balance statements.
- Raising donor invoices and requests for payments, and issuing donor receipts.
- Income and customer account reconciliations and revaluations.
- Any other responsibilities relating to Accounts Receivable.
2) (40%) Month end reporting and reconciliation and subsidiary accounts:
- Complete all balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and petty cash reconciliations and submit for approval by HQ Finance Manager.
- Once CRM system is in place, undertake reconciliation processes between finance data and CRM data.
- Carry out monthly revaluations of bank accounts.
- Ensuring supporting information for transactions is correctly stored in electronic format on Teams such as bank statements, remittance advices, credit statements.
- Assist in preparation of internal reports, including working with Operations Department and Finance department to review their monthly reports.
- Take responsibility to deliver the management accounts of two subsidiary companies: Children in Crisis and HQ transactions of Africa Educational Trust.
- Compile information for Gift Aid returns.
- General support and assistance to the team including administrative duties and managing the office post.
- Other ad hoc support to the wider operations team as may be required.
- Audit: support with the year end audit and provision of supporting information to auditors.
3) (20%) Lead the Accounts Payable process:
- Whilst the Finance Assistant is responsible for all payments, the Finance Officer has a lead role in ensuring that all invoices are paid on time, in an efficient manner and that the finance system reflects the transactions within the correct accounting period and correctly coded in the system – including account code, cost centre, project code and donor code.
- Determine most efficient payment platform to process international payments, and ensure that recorded in the finance system at the correct conversion rate.
- Be a point of contact with the Foreign exchange agents to quickly resolve any questions.
- Work with the Finance Assistant to ensure accurate and timely recording of all approved supplier invoices, requisitions, staff expenses and other expenditure in the accounting system and that all supporting documentation for all transactions are uploaded.
- Ensuring that there are at least two payment runs a week and additional runs as required; overseeing the process to ensure that all invoices for payment are correctly approved by the budget holder, setting up payments on online banking platforms and sending out requests for payment approvals to payment authorisers and verifying that all payments are fully approved in the banking platforms by the deadline set. Providing cover to set up payments when the Finance Assistant is not available.
- Managing monthly staff credit card reconciliations and ensure that these are returned on time with all receipts and invoices and checking and reviewing classifications, with follow up as required.
- Carry out monthly Creditor account reconciliations ensuring that all balances are valid and backed up with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Fully deliver the set up all payroll payments in time for the monthly pay day. This involves ensuring correct amount and currency of payment (which may differ from the salary of the individual’s employment contract) and method of payment across all HQ staff.

General Statement of Duties
The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital has a loyal donor base, and we are now able to grow the major donor portfolio significantly to build our long-term sustainable income. As an IAGO, you will work closely with the Works for Us Team Manager to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of employability services to the public. This includes providing face-to-face advice, phone support and email services The role demands adaptability to fast-changing priorities, compliance with quality standards, and a commitment to delivering in-depth employability advice and guidance.
The successful candidate will also need to be confident and able to provide coaching and training support to small groups of service users on a sessional basis.

Summary of the role:
As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer, you will support the MEAL Manager in implementing and developing Muslim Aid's MEAL system. Your role involves strengthening project monitoring, guiding Country Offices and Partners, and ensuring quality and compliance with humanitarian standards. You will also support data collection, analysis, and the measurement of progress against global and departmental strategies, contributing to accountability, learning, and effective service delivery. Additionally, you will work closely with partners and donors to enhance systems within the global programme portfolio of Muslim Aid.
About the Role:
- Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, Programmes team, country offices, and partners to design MEAL systems that align with project goals, MAUK’s global objectives, and local needs, ensuring they are measurable, relevant, and grant-compliant.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of MEAL requirements and capacities, working with focal points and programme leads to enable real-time programme adjustments and system enhancements.
- Support the regular and accurate updating of the MA MEAL system (TolaData) in coordination with country offices and partner focal points.
- Assist in monitoring programme progress by designing MEAL plans, indicators, targets, timelines, and data collection tools.
- Support the preparation of terms of reference for evaluations, case studies, and impact assessments in coordination with focal points.
- Assist the MEAL Manager in building MEAL capacity among staff and partners.

The Development team at Pembroke College plays a pivotal role in advancing the College’s mission by securing critical financial resources and fostering a culture of philanthropy and donor stewardship, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the College.
We are looking for maternity cover for eight months for the role of Senior Alumni Relations Officer, responsible for building and strengthening relationships between Pembroke and its alumni and other supporters. This includes engagement activities such as events, supporting the Alumni Ambassador network, contributing to alumni communications and publications, and acting as a point of contact for the College’s alumni.
The main duties to be carried out by the post-holder include:
Alumni Relations
- Manage administration of the alumni volunteers through the Alumni Ambassador network and Alumni Advisory Board (AAB) alongside the Chair of the AAB, providing approved College updates and reports in a collaborative and effective manner.
- Ensure regular alumni communications and marketing for events and engagement opportunities are of the highest calibre and take advantage of the great breadth of content available through Fellow, staff, student, and alumni sources.
- Ensure accurate and thorough records are kept on alumni interactions and engagement with the College so that productivity and relationships can be tracked and enhanced.
- Act as a first point of contact for alumni, dealing with ad hoc queries via email, phone, and in person.
- Coordinate the ‘Pembroke10’ network for recent leavers.
- Educate current students about alumni benefits and develop opportunities for students to interact with alumni and supporters so that students become engaged alumni as well as future donors.
- Provide ad hoc tours of College for groups of visiting alumni.
- Ensure that Alumni Relations supports opportunities for the identification and cultivation of alumni prospects.
Events
- Organise events from initial ideas to final feedback, with a variety of goals and objectives including alumni engagement, stewardship and fundraising.
- Work with colleagues, alumni and Fellows to identify new events to appeal to underserved segments of the alumni, parent, student, and other communities.
- Attend events and ensure they are run smoothly and professionally.
- Coordinate High Table dinner bookings for alumni.
Internal collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the wider team and colleagues across Pembroke, supporting work outside your functional area where necessary.

As Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer, you will develop and deliver Fawcett’s engagement with Parliament, government, and other key stakeholders. You will play a key role in writing reports, consultation responses, and briefing papers that shape parliamentary discussions, while also empowering our members and supporters to participate in political campaigns.

- Supporting the development and delivery of Fawcett’s public affairs strategy, including responding to Bills and Select Committee inquiries.
- Drafting reports, press releases, and consultation responses, ensuring timely and persuasive policy communication.
- Organising stakeholder events, such as the Women’s Caucus, to engage political leaders, employers, and civil society.
- Empowering Fawcett members and supporters to engage in political advocacy, from writing to MPs to attending protests.
Who We’re Looking For
You have at least two years of experience in a policy or public affairs role, with a deep understanding of the UK political landscape and a commitment to gender equality. You are a creative problem-solver with the ability to quickly digest complex information, make persuasive arguments, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and have a proven ability to lead projects and campaigns.
