This is a truly exciting time to be joining Fauna & Flora’s Fundraising Team. Over the past three years we have established a fundraising programme that is going from strength to strength. More people than ever are choosing to support our work, and as a result our donor base is rapidly growing.

The focus on nurturing relationships with these donors and providing an excellent experience is a strategic priority. We are seeking an individual with excellent supporter care skills who can help us to build excellent relationships with our supporters and has a real affinity with the work that we do. Your role will involve responding to supporter requests, questions and queries from a range of communication channels, including email and phone, helping to deliver a first-class supporter experience. This frontline role is contributing to the development of the fundraising team to reach unrestricted income targets.

You will report directly to the Director of Supporter Marketing, and work closely with the Database team on a range of activities.

You will have excellent customer service skills and previous experience in a similar role. You will be well organised with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. About the role

As the Account Manager you will contribute to and effectively support our global programme partnerships work, to achieve Save the Children's strategic objectives.

The focus of the role will include maximising the impact of SCUK's relationships with the UK Government including Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), ensure effective knowledge management and capacity building for the UK Government account internally – including for UK Government funded programmes, pipeline and influencing work.

You will support and liaise with a network of internal and external stakeholders to optimise our UK Government engagement, in pursuit of specific partnership opportunities. As well as contribute to the development of the wider partnership strategy, lead and contribute to cross team projects.

 In this role, you will: 

• Ensure a broad-ranging and inclusive partnership. This includes:
  • Contributing to the implementation of SCUK's overall institutional partnerships strategy.
  • Management of information and status of relationships/financing to keep our leadership (CEO, Executive Directors) up-to-date with our partnerships.
  • Supporting the organisation to continually build strategic understanding of the UK Government and any evolving trends that may impact the relationship.
  • Representing Save the Children with the appropriate partner contacts and providing strong support to colleagues in their external engagement (country, regional and HQ levels).
  • Exploring new avenues of collaboration and new funding modalities to maximise income and return on investment.
  • Secure support from colleagues from across the organisation to contribute to our engagement with the UK government
• Ensure increased quality and consistency in the design, delivery and reporting of all projects/awards. This includes:
  • Development and delivery of donor specific capacity building plans.
  • Working closely with the Donor Compliance team to identify risks, mitigating measures and setting adequate monitoring mechanisms to support wider award management processes.
  • Developing common standard approaches to quality and compliance across the account. Ensuring partner regulations and expectations are well understood among parties involved.
  • Engaging with wider Save the Children in generating and sharing learning and best practices.
  • Ensuring strong knowledge management systems are in place.
• Collaborating with team members to develop and embed our partnership and management approach, to maximise the benefit of the team's work to the wider organisation and movement.

 About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Skills in partnership management and market assessment in relation to overall positioning with partners.
• Experience, interest and knowledge of current thinking and future trends and thorough understanding of international development issues.
• Proven experience of providing creative and innovative approaches in developing new initiatives that contribute towards partnership objectives.
• Experience in relationship management, working with Governments, donors, trusts and foundations, or equally demanding partners.
• Experience of undertaking industry trend and donor specific research, finding relevant, reliable, and up to date information quickly.
• Ideally knowledge of and experience working directly with Governments and other key factors such as multi-lateral institutions e.g. their structures, operations and priorities (geographic, sectorial, thematic, at policy & advocacy levels).
• Ideally a good understanding of project design, quality programming and effective delivery.
• Self-driven: ability to take a pro-active approach and work on own initiative; problem-solving skills and creative thinking in fluid or less structured environments.
• Excellent coordination and relationship building skills in forming and maintaining both internal and external relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to present complex information in a clear and succinct manner, ability to analyse trends and report on key financial metrics.

Ways of Working:

We are looking for a Graphic Designer (maternity cover).

We’re looking for a mid-weight Graphic Designer to work in-house to create artwork for marketing and communications campaigns across a wide range of media, including print, digital, animation, and video. What will I be doing?

• To listen to our supporters and customers, understanding their motivations and circumstances and providing appropriate, professional and empathetic responses.

Would you like to be a part of an exciting new opportunity in the IPSPC service. Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate, meaningful paid roles with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support to individuals who are suffering with mental ill health and other chronic health conditions, offering careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation and interview techniques. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with Primary care providers, clinical teams, partner organisations, local employers and other relevant agencies and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.

As well as a good understanding of the IPS model of working, mental and physical health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required. Excellent organisational and time management skills are required, as well as the ability to prioritise workload and be flexible to the demands of this ever-changing role.

There are 2 roles available which are based in Woking which are permanent, full-time roles requiring the post holders to work 37.5 hours a week. The post-holder will be required to be a car driver.

On 1st June 2024, Richmond Fellowship, part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades. In October 2024, Humankind will be renamed to reflect the new organisation.

Job Purpose: 

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the continuous development and delivery of a specialist service working in partnership with Central Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust, providing enhanced support to women with mental and physical health needs preparing to leave prison and resettle back in to the community. This project takes a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to support and works together with partner agencies to provide a bridge from prison to the community.

This post provides operational management of this project across the three women’s prisons in Surrey – HMP Bronzefield, HMP Send and HMP Downview and a community service delivery area of London and the South-East of England, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, partnerships are maintained and contract KPI’s are delivered.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention, is a newly developed role at the DEC, responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for DEC individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention will:

• Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,
• Lead on the production of retention and reporting back materials for individual and community supporters,
• Manage the development and maintenance of specific supporter journeys,
• Develop and oversee the materials and supporter positioning for a light touch and mainly reactive legacy marketing programme for the DEC.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement the direct marketing retention strategy, ensuring that past learnings are built upon, and new ideas are tested.
• Develop and implement specific audience journeys for segments across both the life cycle of a DEC appeal and between appeals.
• Ensure timely and relevant communications to all direct marketing, community, and legacy audiences on the impact of their donations.
• Build an improved supporter journey strategy for new, repeat, and lapsed donors.
• Lead, design, and monitor the collection of audience insight during appeals.

Fundraising

• Develop the DEC’s donor journeys for individuals and community supporters, monitoring the development of segments and the engagement of repeat donors.
• Provide analysis during and following an appeal of performance to measure and report performance against key indicators and develop recommendations for improving impact in the next appeal.
• Support the stewardship of community fundraisers and groups in conjunction with the Supporter Services team.

Networking and building relationships

• Develop excellent working relationships with the DEC’s suppliers including creative agencies, media agencies, SMS and email suppliers, and the print/mailing house.
• Work with permanent and temporary staff at the DEC during appeals to maximise the success of the appeal.

About the role:

As a Local Policy Analyst, you will produce evidence-based policy analysis to support local co-operative growth, ensuring that local co-operatives and national stakeholders are actively involved in the policy-making process. You will assist local policymakers in transforming policy ambitions into impactful interventions, develop business cases, and design local programmes for cooperative development.

You will work within the Reclaiming Our Regional Economies (RORE) programme, which brings together communities and leaders to reform regional economies. Your role will involve collaborating with the RORE partnership and the organisation’s Policy Team to apply your expertise in developing effective policies and programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

Produce evidence-based policy analysis into effective ways to support local co-operative growth, including:

• Produce analysis of how co-operative growth could align with and contribute to the achievement of local priorities and strategies across different partners.
• Produce research and analysis on best practices and ‘what works’ in supporting local co-operative growth.
• Horizon scan for best practices, emerging issues and policy/legislative changes which are relevant to co-operative development and growth.

Ensure local co-operatives and national co-operative stakeholders are involved and empowered in the policymaking process, including:

• Facilitate co-productive policy design and development processes.
• Engage stakeholders in the policymaking process.

Support local policymakers in partner areas to turn policy ambition to support co-operative growth into impactful interventions and practice, including:

• Provide advice and guidance to local policymakers and practitioners on best practice approaches to developing interventions which support co-operative growth.
• Support partners to identify creative ways to overcome blocks and barriers to translating policy which supports co-operative growth into practice.

Help develop business cases and design local programmes and interventions for co-operative growth, including:

• Produce engaging and clear written resources including workshop materials, reports, presentations and guidance materials, as needed.
• Conduct thematic or other analysis of data to inform the development of an evidence base.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will be enthusiastic about the organisation and its mission, and you will have experience of working at a place-based level, such as within local government, local infrastructure or the community/VCSE sector.

• Experience in evidence-based policy analysis, research and development, including analyzing qualitative and quantitative data and presenting insights.
• Able to understand, communicate, review and synthesize information generated from quantitative research, data and evidence.
• Knowledge of local economic development and diverse business forms such as co-operatives, social enterprise and third-sector.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to a wide range of audiences, including local government and project partners.
• Strong relationship, partnership and client management skills.  Able to adapt style to influence and generate credibility across a diverse range of audiences and situations.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines, including management of projects.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and meet short- and long-term deadlines.

Exams Assistant
£32,642 pa plus excellent benefits

As Exams Assistant you will support the day to day running of the examinations with a particular focus on question bank management. You will be working with the Examinations Team and examiners across all specialties. This will include supporting examiner panels to organise and run question writing sessions and ensuring that question banks remain up to date.

You will also have a number of other examination-related duties, including – but not limited to – processing applications, invigilating at examination and collating examination results.

The College offers Fellowship examinations in 17 different pathological specialties, supported by the Examinations Team and a panel of volunteer examiners from the College’s Fellows for each specialty. The examinations are run both online and in person. 

The Royal College of Pathologists is a professional membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of pathology. There are currently approximately 12,000 members, all of whom are pathologists based in hospitals, universities and laboratories in the UK and overseas.
