This is a new and exciting role in Refuge, and the post holder will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. The post holder will be based within housing teams for three days a week, to help facilitate.
- Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
- Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
- Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
- Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
- Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager
This recognises that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis, when they are either considering fleeing, or have already fled.
The housing IGVA will carry a caseload of survivors and their children that require additional support. They will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.
They will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. They will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.
The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

About the Role
The Assistant Reserves Officer is one of our team managing and developing the Trust’s nature reserves for people and wildlife. Your work place includes internationally recognised wetlands and woodlands along with nationally important meadows, chalk grasslands and heathland across Hertfordshire and Middlesex.
You will need to have strong experience in practical habitat management, including the use of power tools and machinery, such as chainsaws, brush cutters and BCS mowers. You will have experience of working within a dynamic team and leading volunteers. You will need to have a keen interest in wildlife and preferably a knowledge of the habitats in our area.
No two days are the same as an ARO at HMWT; you will get the opportunity to utilise and develop your practical habitat management skills across our nature reserves including tree felling, coppicing, scrub clearance, hay cutting and pond/ditch management. You will also undertake the maintenance of site infrastructure; assist with the management of livestock; and perform surveying and monitoring of habitat/species, tree safety and infrastructure. These tasks will be delivered working closely with members of the nature reserves team; our volunteer wardens and our practical conservation volunteers.
Willingness to travel throughout our work area and flexibility to work occasional irregular hours is required for this post.

Our busy London offices will be welcoming a group of new interns to be part of the world's leading global sports and entertainment agency. About the Role
This new role within the Operations Directorate will manage our existing portfolio of national skills competitions, work with the wider team and network to develop our offering to ensure we are aligned with the UK economic priorities. Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Management of a portfolio of national skills competitions across a range of industry sectors:
Develop knowledge and understanding of each competition and their operational needs and requirements, through meetings (one-to-one and group), with competition organising partners (COPs), educators and industry.
• Provide technical and operational advice, guidance, and support on competition delivery to internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders in education and industry.
• Undertake mid-year and annual reviews of competition organising partners (COPs) and continually seek to develop efficient quality procedures.
• Support competition organising partners (COPs) to understand programme requirements and produce key documentation to a consistent high quality and standard, submitted to agreed timeframes
2. Management of all contracts and processes associated with WorldSkills UK’s network of competition organising partners (COP’s):
Implement the competitions organising partner (COP) quality assurance and continuous improvement model and monitoring framework, to ensure the programme runs effectively through contract compliance and that key milestones are met and risks are mitigated.
• Quality assure and sign off key competition deliverables and milestones, reporting and tracking progress on centralised monitoring systems.
• Carry out monthly catch up and bi-annual reviews of competition organising partners (COPs) and support them to continually improve programme delivery resulting in a high-quality, innovative competitions and a positive competitor experience. Page 7 of 10
• Provide development support to delivery partners to raise the standard and quality of competitions delivered within their footprint, in collaboration with the Quality and Standards team. This also includes organising sector-based cluster meetings for competition organising partners to foster greater collaboration and collect, synthesise and exchange information and best practice pertinent to their particular industry or sector.
• Ensure monitoring and reporting systems are accurate and kept up to date.
• Work with the Corporate Partnerships team to manage competitions funded through an investment model.
3. Support the development of new skills competitions:
• Review, assess and implement initiatives that create future-proof skills competitions that are sustainable, responsive to employer needs and provide greater alignment to UK economic priorities.
4. Project management:
• Take ownership of allocated projects within the Operations directorate ensuring all deviations from targets (time, money, people etc.) are identified and addressed at the earliest possible stage.

Role Purpose
The Head of Research and Delivery will lead the delivery of programmes, client-facing projects and research initiatives for GDI Hub CIC, working across the key themes of Disability Inclusion, Inclusive Design and Cities, Climate Change, Gender, Financial Inclusion and Assistive Technology. It is expected that the role holder will have considerable experience across at least two of these themes and an appetite for both broadening and deepening their knowledge across the others. They will also collaborate with research leads and teams based across GDI Hub including the Academic Research Centre (ARC) at UCL.
This is a senior, strategic, role responsible for team management and leading key projects, leading client, donor and government relationships, and providing strategic subject matter expertise. It would suit someone with a proven-track record in the sector and requires a strong aptitude for strategic thinking, delivery management and the creation of tenable and evidence-based recommendations. The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. Benefits
Flexible working: As a mental health charity, staff wellbeing is of paramount importance. We operate a core hours policy (10-4) to encourage flexible working and staff are mainly home based with the requirement to come into the office two days per week. A standard full-time working week is 35 hours, plus an hour for lunch breaks.
Holidays: Annual holiday entitlement of 28 days plus bank holidays.
Wellbeing Allowance: MQ provides an allowance of up to £1200 per annum for each employee to spend on activities that increase their wellbeing. This is paid through payroll and is taxable.
