Personal Specification:

Overview:
Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Group formation and support: Oversee the setup and operation of 10-12 self-sustaining and independent peer support groups within your assigned region across the lifetime of the three-year project. - Training and Development: Develop and deliver tailored training programmes for volunteers based on the specific needs of Group Leaders and Organisers. Set up regional forums for sharing best practices and peer networking. Encourage use of Members Portal to share good practice.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Best Practice Guidance document. Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies to maintain safe governance of peer support groups.
Skills and Qualities Required:

About the role:
Our Health team has an exciting opportunity for three new roles to join the team. Two of these roles will be focused in our North London TST team, and one in our Lewisham hostel team with a focus on improving the barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness when accessing health care.
As a Health Lead, your role will focus on developing and embedding SHPs health approach into the services the charity provides. It will involve working with and supporting those living within our hostels who have underlying health needs to access and maintain the health care they need. To complete initial health screening tools, create a health support profile plan for each client and to make referrals to and support them in engaging with the correct services (i.e. dentistry, podiatry). In this role you will complete health mapping and use this information to influence partnerships formed with external services to help overcome barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness.
The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality Disorder, complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role, include developing positive and sustained relationships of trust with clients, supporting them to engage in health care support and see an improvement in their overall physical health.
About you:
To be successful, you will have:
- A knowledge of (or willingness to learn) about common health issues and the barriers to health access that people experiencing homelessness may encounter.
- Ability to find ways to engage and develop relationships with clients who may have a low level of interaction with and/or suspicion of services.
- Good understanding of local level health set up/services i.e. homeless health providers and teams.

Report to: Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering
Responsible for: Leading the food distribution service and quality assurance at Hackney Foodbank’s allocated Food Distribution Centres located across the borough of Hackney. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. The Role
You will support the contract delivery of the Champions programmes, ensuring contract milestones are met. We are looking for a Partnerships and Volunteer Recruitment Manager, who is based in Ealing, to recruit volunteer mentors both out in the community and through forming partnerships with key public and private sector organisations.
About the role
Our West London Partnerships and Volunteer Recruitment Manager (P&VRM) works closely with P&VRMs in Herts and Surrey and our Communications team, to promote the MCR programme to organisations and individuals. The purpose is to recruit committed volunteers who will mentor a young person in their school for one hour a week during term time. Based from home, our P&VRMs work closely with the wider MCR team ensuring a balance of autonomy and support. The role will involve extensive travel around West London as well as to meetings, events and the Hertfordshire office are all reimbursed.
Key responsibilities:

Recruit volunteer mentors to reach monthly targets both through engagement in the community and with organisations

Source and attend in person and remote events to recruit volunteer mentors

Clearly communicate the charity's purpose and the proven benefits to young people and mentors, developing purposeful relationships with prospective mentors and organisations through face to face meetings and presentations

Work with colleagues to deliver on mentor recruitment plans and share best practice

Working closely with the P&VRMs in Herts and Surrey and our Communications team to manage effective recruitment campaigns

Manage systems to evaluate and assess effectiveness of strategy and practice

This role will manage the daily running of third-party service providers, who are used by the Supporter Care and Services team, wider Fundraising teams, and by the third parties and in-house through KPIs and SLAs. As part of the role, you will manage the stock, storage and fulfilment of all of Barnardo’s new and existing fundraising and marketing materials, ensuring all compliance requirements are met, and operating the procedures and storage services for the team. You will develop and maintain performance reports as required, and will manage, manipulate and update data from multiple sources. You will manage the thanking processes used internally and externally and all associated service suppliers, meeting the needs of supporters, whilst also operating payroll giving administration, processing data and leading the onboarding process of new supporters.
To be successful in the role of Supporter Services and Fulfilment Executive you will need:
- Significant experience working with third-party service providers obtained from the commercial or charity sectors
- Experience developing and introducing systems and processes that improve efficiencies and effectiveness whilst saving costs
- Customer Relationship Management database experience, such as Salesforce
- Experience managing warehousing, stock, and fulfilment services
- Experience developing and working with Gift Aid
Salary: £32,000
