Overview

This advanced course is specifically for data protection leads in charitable organisations. It will prepare your organisation for new laws and obligations.

What you will learn

By the end of the training, you'll: 

  • consider your current position
  • know how to identify your senior responsible individual/s and ensure they have the necessary skills and resources
  • begin to create your privacy management programme
  • understand how to review existing policies to ensure they are up to date and reflective of your obligations
  • consider your data storage arrangements and, where necessary, learn how to conduct transfer risk assessments and establish transfer agreements.

 

WHO DELIVERS THE TRAINING?

Mark Burnett is an NCVO associate and a fully qualified data protection officer (DPO).

He's an experienced fundraiser and marketer and has worked with over 700 charities of all types and sizes. Mark helps charities implement the UK GDPR, The Data Protection Act 2018 and the PECR.

What you require

This training will take place on Zoom. We'll send out the Zoom link with the joining instructions before the first session. The training will take place over two half days.
