Kate's Home Nursing is a local charity, with a team of dedicated nurses providing a Hospice at Home nursing service for people at the end of their lives. Our team is passionate, skilled and dedicated and the feedback we receive daily tells us how much people value our service.

This is a great role if you are looking to work within a small team to lead and drive our fundraising efforts, using your own creativity, experience and proven skills. You will be able to help define our strategy and fund raising budgets and you will have opportunities to work with the community and local/nationwide businesses to help secure the funding we need to provide our hospice at home nursing service and bereavement support services.

The Fundraiser is responsible for income generation from all available sources and for increasing awareness of the charity.

Main duties and responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the Fundraising Strategy, for approval by the CEO and Trustees, ensuring it’s then taken up and executed.
• Setting, together with the CEO and Trustees, and managing the fundraising budget.
• Overall responsibility for fundraising events and campaigns, including creating, organising, attending and all follow up actions.
• Recruit sponsors and volunteers for fundraising purposes, maintaining the database for these, being responsible for induction and training.
• Working with volunteers.

• Ensuring we are up to date with and adhere to all data protection and fundraising regulations, following the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Conduct.
• Maintaining our Fundraising Policy, Volunteers Agreement and all other documentation relating to volunteers and fundraising.
• Supporting other people’s events, being the first point of contact for anyone raising funds on our behalf.
• Create and run marketing and promotional activities and materials.

• Maintaining and building relationships with supporters and donors.
• Responsibility for Just Giving and other fundraising platforms, this involves identifying and supporting new campaigns and fundraising events, thanking and providing full reports for the CEO.
• Responsibility for making full use of social media and our website in relation to all fundraising activities.
• Increasing income from wills.
• Increasing regular monthly donations.
• Community engagement.
• Increasing support from local business, whether financial or maximising access to their services at minimal cost.
• Reporting on all FR activities, both individually and cumulatively throughout the year. Reports are for CEO and Trustees in addition to people, trusts and organisations who give grants.

JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Development will be a dynamic leader within the RUH and a charismatic ambassador externally. Responsible for leading the Development Team across all funding streams and personally managing a select portfolio of major gift prospects, the role will transform our approach to fundraising and philanthropy, delivering against demanding targets and key projects (research, patient & staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment and ‘where the need is greatest’). This is an exciting opportunity to help lead, grow and re-shape the Development Team and is a pivotal role within the SLT, reporting directly to the Head of RUHX.

The successful candidate will be the entrepreneurial force behind leading a team to grow income to £4m+ to support projects and campaigns across the RUH. You will be an experienced fundraising professional with a proven track record of delivering significant income across all funding streams and meeting challenging targets to deliver growth. As an innovative and strategic leader, you will focus on driving donor-centric partnerships, providing exceptional supporter experiences while bolstering exceptional stakeholder relationships.

The Head of Development will be an inspiring and compassionate leader, used to recruiting and motivating a high-performing team and operating a learning and development approach. A skilled communicator and influencer with exceptional diplomatic skills, you will have an ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, trustees, donors and other stakeholders. You will have extensive budget management and planning experience, and will be working closely with the SLT, the Director of Finance and the Charities Committee.

Above all, you will be dedicated to RUHX, the RUH and the NHS - committed to transforming patient care through a business-minded and innovative approach towards driving development. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development—The post holder will line manage a successful team of fundraisers and will be responsible for securing a team total of £1.5m per year. The Head of Development will manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and will be responsible for the identification and cultivation of potential donors, typically in the region of £250,000 and above, delivering a £1.5m a year.
• Leadership & Management- responsible for providing inspiring and innovative leadership and team management, nurturing a culture of ambition, support, and inclusion at RUHX. Ensure the alignment of the charity's vision, values, and behaviours while managing a high-performing Development Team, in line with best practice.
• Strategy - responsible for the strategic leadership and delivery of all development functions of the RUHX’s income generation, in line with the charity’s objectives and the Charities Committee.
• Governance and Compliance- responsible for ensuring RUHX's is compliant with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management- responsible for leading and managing the Development Team to meet financial fundraising targets and oversee budgets. Working with the SLT, ensure timely updates to the Head of RUHX and Charities Committee, reporting on risks with recommendations.
• External Relations and Communications- working with RUHX Director and Marketing & Communications Team support with corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency.

This is a part time, homebased position. The successful candidate will be able to communicate what we do and the impact we achieve for families in a clear and compelling way. They will build relationships with both current and future funders, so that we can develop strong long-term partnerships with those who share our values and our vision for the future. 

We are looking for someone with a passion for writing and communicating with grantmakers of different kinds. You will lead on all our fundraising, primarily from trusts and foundations, however, we are also keen for you to develop new partnerships with corporate partners, with the support of the CEO and the trustees.

We are therefore looking for someone who, despite working primarily from home, will actively engage with the delivery of our project, in order that they can build relationships with the families we work with as well as our future funders. About New Beginnings Foundation

The New Beginnings Foundation is a charity that supports families whose children are in the child protection system in the Greater Manchester area. We are not a statutory service and we are more than a parenting programme. We provide a wrap around service that enables parents to understand how past traumatic events have affected their identity, their coping strategies and their parenting skills. 

We recognise that becoming a parent is one of life's most complex challenges. Our aim, therefore, is to support parents in the child protection process to develop the strength, knowledge and power they need to become the parents they want to be so that their children can stay in their care. At the end of the programme, we hope that parents stay with us, so that they can become peer mentors and share their insight and learning to help other parents do the same. 

We have grown since we began in 2018. We have now supported over 200 families, an ever-growing team and our turnover is approximately £200k p.a.

The RAF Charitable Trust is looking for someone with vision and ambition to lead the organisation. The need for our work is clear. Technology and aviation continue to advance at an unprecedented rate. The IET estimates that the skills shortage in STEM jobs costs the UK economy £1.5bn a year, and there are over 173,000 STEM vacancies. The UK Commission for Employment and Skills stated in 2022 that 43 per cent of STEM vacancies were hard to fill due to a shortage of applicants, leaving tech skills in even higher demand. The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Diversity and Inclusion in STEM also notes significant inequality in high skilled and graduate level roles for those from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds. RIAT’s ongoing success enables RAFCT to be increasingly ambitious regarding its impact through the inspiration of young people: 1. By 2026, RAFCT will have delivered high-quality interventions to over 500,000 young people (measured from 2022).

To achieve this ambition, we are looking for a highly experienced Director to continue the Charity’s trajectory of growth. The successful candidate will work with the RAFCT Chair and Board of Trustees to set, implement, and then assure the delivery of the Trust’s strategy. The Director will lead the Trust’s charity team, and work closely with the Trust’s trading company, RAF Charitable Trust Enterprises Ltd, the RAF, and existing and new delivery partners and charities.

Role description

Title: Interim General Manager

Contract: 24 hours per week (3 days). 6 month temporary contract (extended leave cover)

Location: Remote and at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre 

Salary: £50,470.00 full-time pa; pro rata

Our General Manager is going on an extended leave, so we are looking for someone who can lead the team, continue our fundraising efforts and generally hold the fort for six months. 

Some of the key milestones of the period the new General Manager will be responsible for include: supporting the team in hosting a fundraising event, meeting key grant writing deadlines, supporting Finance Lead in producing the end of year accounts and all on-going financial reporting, renewing corporate sponsorship agreements with current partners.

About the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre

The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is an award-winning charity launched by a team of volunteers in 2017. In December 2021 we opened our first physical space in London’s bankside.

Our mission is to provide London with a sober, intersectional, intergenerational, community centre and café where all LGBTQ+ people feel welcome and supported, can build connections, and flourish. Our vision is for a more connected, belonging and thriving LGBTQ+ community in London.

• Fundraising
  • Lead fundraising team
  • Lead all fundraising efforts (grants, individual giving and corporate partnerships) and supervise strategy

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated major gifts fundraiser to seek and grow relationships with supporters who can help us build a new Children’s Hospital and a new Cancer Hospital in Cambridge.

You will work with the Co-Directors of Philanthropy and Senior Philanthropy Lead to steward a group of senior-level volunteers for both the Children’s Hospital and Cancer Hospital.

As Philanthropy Lead, you will focus on cultivating new major donor prospects, developing loyal relationships, and ultimately securing financial support for our new hospitals. You will be talented at spotting opportunities as they arise, highly motivated and professional.

You will find yourself working with inspiring clinical teams; from nurses to matrons, surgeons and consultants – to senior hospital leaders and Trustees.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify new prospects
• Research potential prospects to create useful briefing materials
• Cultivate prospects and donors through thoughtful engagement
• Secure gifts of £10,000+

About You

You will also have excellent written skills (applications, proposals and impact report writing) and be independent, resilient and creative with a willingness to support colleagues across the organisation.
