With 1 in 5 children struggling with their mental health, our surf therapy intervention is needed now more than ever. We transform the lives of children struggling with depression and anxiety. Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.
It is an exciting time to join the charity - we have a new CEO in post who has plans to take this charity to new heights - reaching even more children than ever before and we need an experienced fundraiser who can help us achieve that vision. Working as part of a small fundraising team you will have the ability to really make a substantial difference.
The role is advertised as 15 hours however there is the hope that this will end up being increased in the not too distant future. We will consider candidiates working remotely but for those based near HQ (Newquay, Cornwall) you will be able to join in with our pre work swims/paddles/coffee on the beach and our Bring and Share lunches! We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Director who will be responsible for the work of the charity within the UK. The Director will be the strategic and day to day leader of the UK organisation and will also work hands-on not only with his/her direct reports but also all teams in the office. We are seeking a leader who can take the UK charity’s fundraising to new heights; thus, this is a particularly important focus area.
The role will be directly overseeing the World Cancer Research Fund UK’s Fundraising and Health Information Departments. You will report to the CEO and work in partnership with the UK CEO and other senior executives in updating and implementing the organisation’s strategy and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of directing and leading a similar sized UK philanthropic organisation (or a fundraising team within a larger charity), including writing and implementing strategies and evaluating outcomes. You will have proven experience of delivering fundraising objectives as well as a strong track record in communications and up to date knowledge of social media and digital strategies. Substantial experience of management of teams at both strategic and tactical level including developing skills, abilities, performance management and confidence in staff is required as are high level speaking skills.

This role can be offered as a hybrid role (with approximately one day per week in our London office) or fully remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings or staff days as necessary; the two salary ranges above reflect this. The 21 hours could be worked across 3-5 days per week.

Oasis Community Hub East Southampton are recruiting for an experienced Lead Youth Worker to work alongside the youth and community hub team in East Southampton. This positive, adaptable and talented youth worker will help us to deliver detached youth work and mentoring. Supporting the development of a team and building youth leadership opportunities.
The role will be focussed on the East Southampton community surrounding Oasis Academies Mayfield and Sholing and the Harefield Hub space. Delivering detached work, alongside other partners using our Oasis Youth van; delivering mentoring in schools and supporting and developing a youth team.
Key responsibilities will be:
· To develop and deliver a youth work programme engaging with young people across East Southampton in school and community settings. To Include:
o Detached provision
o Positive activities
o Wellbeing support
o Mentoring
· To work alongside the hub team to increase opportunities for young people to influence decision making and develop their leadership.
· To line manage sessional youth staff and support volunteers.
The successful post holder must have:
· Proven experience of leading work with young people in formal and informal settings
· Experience working with challenging behaviours and attitudes.
· Understanding of monitoring and evaluation in youth work
· Knowledge of safeguarding practices and health and safety.

World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.
This position will lead on member communications and management, as well as the campaign management for World Obesity Day. Main responsibilities will include managing the day to day membership provision for the organisation, acting as Project Manager for World Obesity Day, leading on campaign resource development, liaising with members and chairing the Global Advisory Group.
The Campiagns and Membership Coordinator will join the Communications Team.
Desired skills and experience - experience of running campaigns (ideally health and/or charity related), experience of working within a membership organisation, understanding of working at a global level, additional languages.

You will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative and other support to fundraising and communications staff.
- Leading on a small portfolio of major fundraising events and activities.
- Maintaining regular contact and excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Support and/or lead on a range of other fundraising activities, campaigns and events.
- Identifying new events, opportunities and approaches that could raise significant funds for halow.
Role Requirements:
- We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, hard-working, flexible and keen to make a difference.
- Demonstratable experience of working a fundraising role or comparable role.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, trustees, donors, and funders.
- Experience of delivering projects and fundraising targets.
- Knowledge of data security whist ensuring databases are kept up to date.
- Aged 18 and above.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Suitable references.
- Willing to undertake a DBS Check. The initial cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.
