· Playing a pivotal role in providing operational and strategic leadership in the financial management of SCIE
· Leading the Finance Team on all aspects of SCIE’s day-to-day financial operations to ensure financial health, long-term sustainability and compliance with polices, charity legislation and other relevant financial standards

· Leading on SCIE’s annual external audit, including the preparation of our statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant charity legislation, regulations and financial reporting standards
What we are looking for:
· Achievement of a recognised, fully qualified professional Accountancy qualification (for example, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
· A dynamic and experienced individual, with proven experience in a senior financial management role, ideally within the charity sector
· Proficient in preparing, analysing and presenting financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cashflow statement).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain financial processes to non-financial staff.
· Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
· Proven IT skills, including a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, with a strong knowledge of Excel’s functions and formulas
· Proficient in financial management software and tools

A key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Finance contributes to shaping and implementing the Gallery’s strategic development.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a proven ability in leadership and financial control within a complex organisation, managing people and limited resources effectively, delivering results, thinking strategically and inspiring and motivating others. They will need to demonstrate a high degree of energy and agility, with the ability to build highly effective, collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organisation. The new Director of Finance will demonstrate a high level of financial and business acumen and strategic insight and will possess strong analytical and project management skills.
With experience at Board level, they must be comfortable with presenting to Boards and with the ability to develop strategy and present business plans.
Previous experience of the gallery and museum sector would be desirable but is not essential, and applications are welcomed from candidates with commercial, charitable and private sector backgrounds. Candidates must be able to demonstrate empathy with the mission and vision of Whitechapel Gallery and act with a high degree of personal integrity in a diverse cultural environment.

The Community Leader (Director) leads the Community in living the mission of L’Arche in our community life, by providing outstanding, person-centred and financially sustainable care and support services, by support for shared community and spirituality, and by engagement with the wider community around us.
Are you a leader who can:
- Inspire and lead a diverse and talented community of over 100 individuals with and without learning disabilities - people we support, employees, volunteers, long-term friends and members.

The role
In this role you will support the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to develop and deliver fundraising initiatives that will support existing corporate partners and securing new gifts. Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day account management of existing corporate partners, new business development and the co-ordination of our payroll giving program. This will include research, prospect development, donor cultivation & stewardship, verbal & written presentations and all associated administration. Additionally, you will contribute to projects within the philanthropy & partnerships team such as events and webinars; and the wider fundraising team to collaborate on prospect development, funding opportunities and volunteering.
About you
You will be an excellent communicator, both orally and written, who is confident in speaking with supporters. You will manage your own pipeline of donors, so will need to take initiative, prioritise and organise your own work, with limited supervision to achieve deadlines for multiple tasks. Agile decision making and problem-solving skills are essential.
You may have fundraising experience, but this is not essential if you have sales experience.
You will have:
- Excellent customer service skills with a background in fundraising or sales.
- Experience in new business development including identifying, researching and contacting cold prospects.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas creatively and persuasively.
- Strong administrative, planning and prioritisation skills with keen attention to detail.
- Competency with all standard Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn. We provide nutritious breakfasts and expert support to primary, secondary, ASN/SEND schools and pupil referral units in disadvantaged areas of England and Scotland. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.
We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.
The Philanthropy Manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and creative, to create and test impactful donor journeys and engagement opportunities so Magic Breakfast’s supporters feel valued and can understand the transformational difference they are making to hungry children and their learning in the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income generation and donor stewardship and prospect development

Manage your own portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship and strategies to uplift and secure multi year donations

Work with Corporate, Trusts and Individual Giving teams to identify potential major donors and high value regular givers within Magic Breakfast’s donor portfolio and implement plans to develop these relationships;

Write accurate, inspiring and compelling fundraising propositions and reports for potential and existing major donors

The Role:
We have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Income Generation to join ELF as a senior leader within our charity. You will be responsible for setting and delivering our fundraising strategy and achieving income targets in line with our objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and delivering ELF’s income generation strategy in consultation with the CEO and the fundraising team.

The Person:
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working in a fundraising position and driving an income-generation strategy. You will have demonstrable success in securing gifts from a range of donors and in building excellent relationships, with colleagues, donors and beneficiaries. You’ll come with substantial experience in applying for grants from a range of sources and in securing legacy pledges.
The ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge of fundraising principles and of the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission guidelines. You’ll be experienced in using fundraising databases and data segmentation to identify and develop prospect lists. Exceptional attention to detail and a good working knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles are required.
As our Head of Income Generation, you will be highly motivated with the ability to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements and adapt to changing situations. You’ll share ELF’s passion in supporting cancer patients and their families.
Experience working in a medical charity would be desirable, but we will consider candidates from a variety of charitable backgrounds. Team leadership experience would be beneficial. A fundraising qualification would be useful, although not essential.
This role can is offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. We can be flexible with how the hours sit across the week to fit in with your schedule, however we do ask that the role holder works during core hours and has some flexibility to occasionally attend events and fundraisers outside of working hours. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of two days per week based in the Marsh Barton office.

- Analyse performance data to evaluate service design, developing new or improved processes and procedures to ensure we are effective, efficient and focused on client outcomes.
- Be responsible for leading service development annually, responding to evidence of need and seeking to implement community solutions; whilst identifying and mitigating risk.
- Drive community development through the Village Agent service, supporting the team to identify gaps and implement sustainable community solutions.
- Take responsibility for collating quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports internally for the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees and externally for funders as required.
- Act as the Safeguarding Lead Officer for Client Services, and work closely with the CCS Safeguarding Lead.
- Contribute to the development of quality assurance systems.
- Assist in managing the organisation’s day-to-day operations and its resources in accordance with CCS policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and good practice in all aspects of the charity’s work.
- Keep abreast of national, regional, and local policy that impacts on our work to bring a wider perspective, and ensure our work is well informed.
Build Connections
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with our collaborators, including commissioners, public sector officers and senior operational managers across a range of sectors and organisations.
- Show generous leadership and actively promote CCS values at all times.
- Attend relevant partnership and operational meetings for Village Agent services.
- When appropriate, represent CCS externally at events and meetings locally, regionally and nationally.
