In the role of Individual Giving Assistant – Supporter Retention & Development at The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, you will play a key role in supporting the Individual Giving team. Your work will focus on retaining and developing relationships with supporters, ensuring they have the best possible experience with the charity. This includes managing supporter queries, processing donations, and providing sensitive and empathetic communication, particularly with those donating in memory of loved ones.

You will also help execute fundraising campaigns, contributing to the planning, proofreading of materials, and adhering to timelines and budgets.

Additionally, you’ll provide administrative support to the team, maintaining accurate records and occasionally covering reception duties, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role is crucial in helping the charity achieve its ambitious fundraising goals while making a meaningful impact on the lives of cancer patients.

Salary range £53,000 – £57,000 per annum | 35 hours per week | Permanent

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called ‘honour’ based crimes such as forced marriage.

Our goal is to promote, preserve, and restore the mental health and wellbeing of women and girls, to empower them to make a total and sustainable recovery from the experiences of violence. About the role

We are excited to be advertising this newly created role as part of WGN’s growth. This role will be the lead on the finance function. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Resources, the role works closely with stakeholders across the organisation including executive leadership, with a specific focus on working closely with the Director and external auditors. The role will have two direct reports – Finance Business Partner and Finance Officer. This is a hands-on role and will have full responsibility for the finance function on a day to day and medium-term basis. The Financial Controller is to lead on all financial systems set up and upgrades.

Although the organisation is well established, this is a growing sector, and the organisation has gone through rapid change over the past few years and is therefore offering the right candidate a great opportunity to deliver change and make a real difference to WGN’s staff and clients. 

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the management and development of the Finance Business Partner and Finance Officer.
• Preparing the year-end statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors.
• Responsible for ensuring that all financial controls are implemented and adhered to within the organisation, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Supporting non-finance colleagues and stakeholders in understanding all requirements related to the funding agreements.
• Leading the month-end process with the support of the Finance Business Partner and the Finance Officer.
• Leading on all financial systems set up and upgrades.
• Ensuring that all restricted funds are used in accordance with the funding agreements.
• Responsible for treasury and investment management across the organisation.
• Ensuring all payroll payments are made on time.
• Leading the procurement function across the organisation.

About you

If you are someone who has strong financial reporting, budget setting, and year end processing skills, with a keen eye on details and drive to facilitate change and enhance the finance function this role would be for you. 

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience in working with the charity sector in a similar role for at least two years.
• Work well with non-finance colleagues and trustees in delivering key financial reports in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Be a qualified accountant.
• Be comfortable working in a hands-on environment

The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. The Role

Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, the Database and Insight Manager role will help to continue to transform the way the Charity uses data to make decisions and support our fundraising strategy.

The post holder will directly manage a team of 3 and will be responsible for ensuring the CRM is kept up to date and accurate as well as providing the Charity with the best possible insight, tracking, recording, and processing of all supporter interactions.

The person will: 

· Develop and provide robust, high quality and insightful KPI reports, dashboards and analysis for each area of the charity.

· Inform and update the Head of Individual Giving and Director of Fundraising on response patterns, donor profiles and trends within our database, providing insightful and accurate data to underpin strategic fundraising decision making and informing marketing campaigns.

· Work closely with the Supporter Care Manager/Supporter Care Team on projects and initiatives that will help with loyalty, retention and engagement of our supporters.

· Lead on fundraising wide data product development and take responsibility for data protection compliance/GDPR, in collaboration with the Head of Individual Giving and Governance Team.

· Document and set approaches to manage change and improvement of data capture processes across the teams.

· Lead on new projects relational to our data and processes such as data retention schedules and improvement of existing and new automations.  

The successful candidate will:

· Have experience in managing and leading a team.  

· Be able to manipulate and process complex data sources, analysing supporter data.

· Have proven experience of gathering and analysing data, extrapolating meaningful insights and producing recommendations.

· Have strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret results and draw conclusions and high-quality analysis.

· Have good knowledge of Excel including formulae, pivot tables and graphs.

Populo Living are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning. Populo Living is a development and housing company wholly owned by a single shareholder, Newham Council. Populo Living enable Newham to keep control of Council land and build high quality, low carbon homes and neighbourhoods whilst retaining the developer profit for Newham Council, in the form of new affordable homes and long-term investment income.

The role of Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning will lead, manage and co-ordinate the provision of the Groups Financial Planning, Treasury Management Services and Management Accounting functions as well as assist the Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance team.

The role:

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of four with two direct reports.
• Lead on all treasury related matters for the group such as arranging new funding, loan compliance, cashflow and banking.
• Lead on the organisation’s annual financial plan, including extensive sensitivity analysis of key performance indicators.
• Lead on the review of management accounts and production of board papers.
• Attend relevant committees and board meetings as required.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Deputise for the Director of Finance and Resources as required.
• Support the Financial Controller to deliver year end accounts.

• Oversee cashflow forecasting, managing all cash and loan balances.

Essential criteria:

• Fully qualified Accountant.
• Previous experience working in either social housing, a commercial house builder or residential lettings.
• Experience developing and delivering on treasury strategy.
• Technical knowledge around long term planning AND management accounting forecasting.
• Strong people management skills as well as being resilient and have an appetite for change.

Purpose of post
In 2022, IMO decided to develop deep and focused youth employment programming
to address the significant need in our community. To deliver this, we are partnering
with Impetus. The new programme supports young people from South Asian
backgrounds to bolster their opportunities for sustained education, employment and
training (EET) by providing 1:1 mentoring, family engagement and practical experience.

We are excited to recruit a leader for this programme, to develop it beyond the initial
pilot phase into a long-term, sustainable provision, build and manage local
partnerships, work with others to develop a long-term funding model, and ultimately
to support young people in securing and sustaining employment.

This is an exciting and new type of work for IMO Charity, and we are looking for
someone to take it forward. It is a strategic priority, sits on the Senior Management
Team, and will report directly to the CEO.

What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced, inspiring leader who can utilise our assets with the
local community, working with the existing team and local partners to take our exciting
new employment programme for disadvantaged young people in Blackburn with
Darwen into its next phase of development and generate meaningful long-term
outcomes.

Successful candidates will bring extensive front-line experience with a similar target
demographic; strong management, planning and communication skills and will offer a
high level of initiative and a common-sense approach to working.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and line management

• Work with CEO and other SMT members in leading the wider organisation in 1:1 and Senior Management Team meetings
• Lead on recruitment, selection and induction of new mentors
• Line managing, motivating and training mentors
• Be an ambassador for IMO, including by role-modelling its values, promoting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and being a visible senior leader
• Programme design and development
• Lead on strategic planning - design, development and implementation of all pillars of the Youth
• Employment programme (mentoring, family engagement and practical experience)
• Building on the initial pilot phase, determine the scope, targets and KPIs for programme over the next 3 years
• Develop all key elements of the programme including but not limited to outreach and partnerships, curriculum, quality assurance, impact management, financial resourcing
• Work with the IMO team to adapt and build on existing IMO delivery practices, and work closely with members of the wider organisation to ensure the new programme operates efficiently within all other activities
• Develop strategic relationships to build the network and pipeline of schools and potential delivery partners for the long-term benefit of the programme and its funding streams

Programme management and delivery

• Oversee the delivery of further cohorts of the IMO’s youth employment programme including:

        - Ensuring provision of high-quality, consistent delivery of all pillars
        - High-impact, meaningful opportunities sourced and scheduled to meet the needs of
          individual young people
       - Effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting

• Management of delivery staff by way of:

        - Supervising and developing delivery staff both individually and as a group
        - Managing schedules and workload
        - Problem solving any delivery issues with the relevant parties e.g. schools,
          young people and families

• Build and contribute to a culture of impact management by:

        - Maintaining and monitoring systems & KPIs to facilitate regular impact management reviews
          which gather useful and relevant data to improve programme delivery
        - Conducting regular programme reviews with the relevant team members to evaluate delivery
          and impact and make required changes to the programme
        - Report updates and relevant impact data to the team internally as well as to the board,
          external partners and other stakeholders on a regular basis

• Act as the point of contact for existing partners, strengthening & maximising relationships, dealing with day-to-day enquiries and escalating issues to the CEO when necessary
• Ensure that employer partners are well prepared to support potential candidates, including by educating them about any specific challenges and clearly aligning expectations on all sides

Develop sustainable funding model

• Support CEO to develop a sustainable funding model required to deliver IMO’s youth employment programme. This will include working with the team to conduct a review of costs to deliver an effective programme over the next 3 years
• Contribute to an income generation strategy for the youth employment programme

Wider organisational responsibilities

• Work to identify and incorporate youth voice into IMO’s work, including by encouraging candidates to share their stories, challenges and feedback on our services
• Help to secure and create case studies and other content for IMO’s social media channels, website and blogs that communicates the charity’s objectives, activities, impact and contributes to raising the profile of the charity
