The Board is responsible for developing strategy, providing good governance and directing UK100 towards achieving its mission. 
You will need to attend four formal Board meetings per year, plus occasional workshops to develop the organisation’s strategy and business plans. Meetings will be a mix of hybrid and in person.
Whilst you do not need to be an expert in local net zero, interest and a passion to tackle climate change will be required.

PFP is a UK-based charity working in Africa and Asia since 2004, and this year we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. Our Mission is to work together with local people and filmmakers to produce, distribute and show local language educational films that give help and hope to vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. Our latest activities have primarily focused on Malawi, Sierra Leone and Kenya.

Every PFP film seeks to bring about positive change by engaging audiences with themes, characters and subjects that address important challenges facing themselves and their communities.

Primary responsibilities

- Attend and contribute to quarterly Board meetings and work with the Trustees and Directors in advancing PFP’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.

- Deliver and develop PFP’s communications strategy. This includes: working with our executive team to produce supporter newsletters and build our supporter network; developing our social media strategy, and supporting our Administrator in its implementation; and producing press releases.

- Maintain and develop our Wordpress website.

- Proactively seek fundraising opportunities.

- Contribute to the effective governance of PFP, including: ensuring PFP is accountable and carrying out its purpose for public benefit; ensuring compliance with the governing document and applicable law; and challenging the management of resources and ensuring financial stability.

- Act as an ambassador and public representative for PFP.

A Bag for Flo is a non-profit chairty dedicated to supporting individuals facing period poverty by providing free period products.

This is a volunteer remote role for a Trustee/Volunteer focusing on Grants & Fundraising at A Bag for Flo. The individual will be responsible for researching and applying for grants, as well as planning and organising fundraising events and campaigns to support our cause.

1. Plan and execute the Sports and Wellness strategy and service line: Improve physical health and mental well-being through sports and related activities by launching novel sports and wellness initiatives that prioritize agility and holistic health.

• Forward-thinking initiatives: design and launch innovative sports and wellness initiatives that promote physical agility and holistic health within the community. These should include sessions for mental and physical well-being like football, exercise, and self-defence classes.

• Make discretionary referrals to subsidised counselling.

• Offer subsidised programmes for mental and physical wellbeing: champion mental health awareness by offering subsidised programs for mental and physical well-being, including access to wellbeing workshops.

• Partnership Development & Collaboration Team: Coordinate with this team to identify and establishalliances and partnerships with local, regional and global organisations, businesses, councils, and thegovernment to acquire Sports and Wellness resources, speakers or information.

We’re extending Ealing Book Festival'sBoard of Trustees to fulfil our long-term ambitions. We have a friendly, experienced team and financial strengths. Activities take place in central Ealing. Transport links are good.

Ealing Book Festival registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in November 2023. Its objects are to advance the public education in West London’s Ealing through an annual book festival and writing-related events for the enjoyment of books. We encourage reading for pleasure, working widely and inclusively. We are volunteer led.

Our April 2024 the charity ran its successful first main event, with 86% tickets sold and very positive feedback on the quality and range of the events. The festival comprised 19 events including a great children’s poetry competition. We’re planning for April 2025.

This is an exciting time to become one of our first Visitor Experience volunteers
as the Royal Hospital restores the Soane Stable Yard and opens a Visitor and
Outreach Centre with new displays telling the history of the Royal Hospital and
Chelsea Pensioners. This project has been part funded by the National Lottery
Heritage Fund.

We will be delivering an exciting range of heritage activities, tours, events, and
workshops for visitors to the New Soane Stable Yard. As a Visitor Experience
Volunteer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the visitor experience.
Front of House Volunteers will engage with the Visitor Experience and Public
Programmes Team, and a team of volunteers to offer visitors an outstanding
visitor experience.

This is a varied and interesting role which involves dealing with the general
public as well as staff and fellow volunteers.

This is a fantastic role to get involved locally and be at the forefront of solutions to help save nature in the Exeter area.

Join us as the volunteer leader of the RSPB Exeter & District Local Group and lead a group of enthusiastic members who are passionate about supporting the RSPB and exploring local wildlife. The group runs a full programme of activities, from outdoor walks and indoor talks to fundraising events. As the group leader, you will primarily lead the group and oversee the programme. You will be part of a friendly and helpful committee that share the same vision of bringing members closer to nature. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to use your leadership skills to make a valuable contribution to the work of the RSPB.
