We are looking for an UK Government Account Manager to join the Partnership Development Team in our Global Programmes Division to support our global programme partnerships work, supporting and maximising our relationships with the UK Government.

About the Team
The Partnership Development Team is comprised of partnership experts across a portfolio of institutional partners. The team seeks to deliver exceptional global partnerships, optimising both funding and influence. The team works closely with colleagues from across the Global Programmes and Policy, Advocacy & Campaigns Division, other Save the Children members and with Save the Children International (SCI) country and regional teams to deliver on our partnership objectives. The team is at the forefront of driving the institutional partnership agenda and approach for both Save the Children UK (SCUK) and the Save the Children global movement, ensuring Save the Children is the partner of choice.
About the role
As the Account Manager you will contribute to and effectively support our global programme partnerships work, to achieve Save the Children's strategic objectives.
The focus of the role will include maximising the impact of SCUK's relationships with the UK Government including Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), ensure effective knowledge management and capacity building for the UK Government account internally – including for UK Government funded programmes, pipeline and influencing work.
You will support and liaise with a network of internal and external stakeholders to optimise our UK Government engagement, in pursuit of specific partnership opportunities. As well as contribute to the development of the wider partnership strategy, lead and contribute to cross team projects.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure a broad-ranging and inclusive partnership. This includes:
- Contributing to the implementation of SCUK's overall institutional partnerships strategy.
- Management of information and status of relationships/financing to keep our leadership (CEO, Executive Directors) up-to-date with our partnerships.
- Supporting the organisation to continually build strategic understanding of the UK Government and any evolving trends that may impact the relationship.
- Representing Save the Children with the appropriate partner contacts and providing strong support to colleagues in their external engagement (country, regional and HQ levels).
- Exploring new avenues of collaboration and new funding modalities to maximise income and return on investment.
- Secure support from colleagues from across the organisation to contribute to our engagement with the UK government
- Ensure increased quality and consistency in the design, delivery and reporting of all projects/awards. This includes:
- Development and delivery of donor specific capacity building plans.
- Working closely with the Donor Compliance team to identify risks, mitigating measures and setting adequate monitoring mechanisms to support wider award management processes.
- Developing common standard approaches to quality and compliance across the account. Ensuring partner regulations and expectations are well understood among parties involved.
- Engaging with wider Save the Children in generating and sharing learning and best practices.
- Ensuring strong knowledge management systems are in place.
- Collaborating with team members to develop and embed our partnership and management approach, to maximise the benefit of the team's work to the wider organisation and movement.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Skills in partnership management and market assessment in relation to overall positioning with partners.
- Experience, interest and knowledge of current thinking and future trends and thorough understanding of international development issues.
- Proven experience of providing creative and innovative approaches in developing new initiatives that contribute towards partnership objectives.
- Experience in relationship management, working with Governments, donors, trusts and foundations, or equally demanding partners.
- Experience of undertaking industry trend and donor specific research, finding relevant, reliable, and up to date information quickly.
- Ideally knowledge of and experience working directly with Governments and other key factors such as multi-lateral institutions e.g. their structures, operations and priorities (geographic, sectorial, thematic, at policy & advocacy levels).
- Ideally a good understanding of project design, quality programming and effective delivery.
- Self-driven: ability to take a pro-active approach and work on own initiative; problem-solving skills and creative thinking in fluid or less structured environments.
- Excellent coordination and relationship building skills in forming and maintaining both internal and external relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to present complex information in a clear and succinct manner, ability to analyse trends and report on key financial metrics.

Ways of Working:

The Community Leader (Director) leads the Community in living the mission of L’Arche in our community life, by providing outstanding, person-centred and financially sustainable care and support services, by support for shared community and spirituality, and by engagement with the wider community around us.

About the role
As the new Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will oversee the stewardship of some of their most passionate supporters, working closely with dedicated volunteers, community groups, and overseeing key charity events. Community and Events Fundraising:
- Help deliver the teams' existing events and community fundraising products, growing net income and actively seeking new opportunities for expansion.

- Produce and manage the Community Fundraising income and expenditure annual plan and budget.
- Work with the Senior Events and Community Manager to regularly review performance, report variances against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
- Monitor income and KPIs against agreed budgets and targets, taking action to address any shortfall.
People management:
- Provide all aspects of line management support, development and coaching to the Fundraising Assistant.
- Recruit, train, manage and inspire volunteers to deliver agreed aspects of the fundraising plan.

The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser in community and events with strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide variety of individuals.

Send My Friend to School Campaign Manager
This is a full time post, based in central London Salary: £40,291
The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. There is likely to be occasional evening and weekend work involved, for which time off in lieu will be received. Holidays are 25 days pro rata per year plus bank holidays. Results UK’s terms and conditions of employment will apply.
Line Management
Although working solely on Send My Friend to School coalition activities the Campaign Manager will be employed as part of the Results UK team. Consequently, they will be formally managed by the Results UK Head of Parliamentary Advocacy in terms of workplace-related and employment issues.

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C.

Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life and build lasting pathways to prosperity. Across a dozen countries, we’re partnering with traditional fishers and community organizations to design, scale, strengthen and sustain fisheries management and conservation at the community level. We bring partners together in networks to advocate for reform, and share tools and best practices to support fishing communities across the globe.
Summary job description
Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision-making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge-sharing events both online and face-to-face across the organisation, in addition to overseeing technical publications.
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Community-Based Fisheries Management. This individual would oversee the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners working with communities around the world as they establish community-based fisheries management and locally managed marine areas. These types of tools and materials include:
- Accessible tools and appropriate technologies:
Intuitive to use and readily available, including software and mobile apps for data collection and interpretation, simple decision support tools for assessment, planning, and problem resolution, and community-level materials for common activities, such as meeting facilitation guides or choice architecture to help communities decide which fish and fisheries to focus management attention on.
- Educational resources:

The Global Head - Community-Based Fisheries Management will have a strong understanding and technical experience of data-driven adaptive fisheries management in the small-scale fisheries sector, with proven skills in coaching and team building skills and effective management capacity in leading a multi-disciplinary team and working cross-functionally.

- Working with the Head of Events to set and regularly monitor income and expenditure budgets, putting mitigation plans in place when needed.
- Lead on the product development of one to two new Sense-owned challenge products to re-engage warm supporters and engage cold audiences through smart data analysis and a good understanding of the challenge events market.
- Line manage a National Events Fundraiser, ensuring that they are achieving their core objectives, reach the KPIs for their Events and supporting their professional development.
- Lead on the development of the role’s event marketing, promotional and communication plans, ensuring these are fully implemented and adhered to.
- Play an active role in events strategy and planning meetings, contributing viable and carefully evaluated ideas and opportunities.
- Recruit and steward event participants and support other colleagues with this, as required.
Key skills and experience
- Extensive experience of successful events fundraising
- Experience of managing a variety of fundraising events with large volumes of participants
- Demonstrable experience of budgeting and financial reporting.
- Considerable involvement in strategic event planning.
- Proven experience in evaluating current events and implementing these learnings in future project plans.
- Experience in evaluating new event fundraising opportunities.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with an ability to prioritise, plan and manage a complex and varied workload
- Able to manage and analyse events and participant data via database management systems
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills with the maturity and ability to communicate with a wide range of supporters, colleagues, supplier etc.
- A willingness to travel in the UK and to attend and assist at events during evenings and weekends, for both the national and community teams
- Highly organised, efficient, methodical approach to work with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexible enough to work on own initiative but also team focused
- Supportive, reliable and enthusiastic team member

The Role:
- Developing products and processes to meet income delivery and tree planting targets
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop models to aid decision making within the Products and Donations area, including forecasting of tree sales.
- Work with suppliers whilst ensuring alignment with organisational and sustainability values
- Manage relationships with the Trust’s creative and media agencies, and with teams across the organisation
- Oversee the development and management of tree products including the online shop
- Whilst the focus is on trees, there will be scope to work across multiple product areas during this fixed term contract, helping to improve reporting and drive decision making based on data and insight.?
- This role includes a mix of working from home and at our main office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Visits to Grantham would be required no more than once per month. There may also be a requirement for additional supplier visits with some overnight stays.
- This is a 12-month fixed term contract (Maternity Cover) working 30 hours per week
The Candidate:
- You are an experienced manager with specific skills in product development
- You have a strong background in working with colleagues to build robust models to understand product profitability and stock forecasting
- You have excellent analytical skills and be proficient in Excel and other forecast modelling tools
- You have strong budgeting and stock management skills
- You may have experience of forecasting within the retail sector
- This will be a varied role, so you possess strong leadership, marketing, communication and project management skills, and the ability to problem solve
- You will have line management or supervisory experience
