Are you a proactive fundraiser and looking to support a small charity? We're looking for 2 energetic and enthusiastic fundraiser volunteers to increase the fundraising opportunities for the charity as well as developing corporate partnerships, legacy giving, individual giving and major donors. This role may also include:
- Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities, many of which involve organising events
- Project manage fundraising events, from inception all the way through to evaluation
- Recruit and promote supporters and volunteers for challenge and national events.

The London Basketball Association is pleased to announce that an opportunity has arisen for a Board of Trustees Chairperson to join our intensely committed organisation.
The Board of Trustees Chairperson is a pivotal role within the organisation, tasked with holding the Board and Executive Team to account, to ensure the Charity hits its mission and longer term strategic visions. This is achieved by providing inclusive leadership to the Board of Trustees, ensuring that each trustee fulfils their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance of the charity. Time Commitments: The Board of Trustees meet 6 times per year [bi-monthly]. Meeting may be held either in person and virtually. My Name’5 Doddie Foundation was set up by late rugby legend Doddie Weir, who was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (MND) in 2017. A devastating disease with no effective treatments and no cure, each of us have a lifetime risk of developing MND of 1:300. The condition takes the life of one third within a year of diagnosis and half within two years.
The Foundation has a single, clear vision: a world free of MND. Funding research lies at the heart of everything we do; it’s what allows world-leading experts to investigate potential drugs, expedite new treatments and, fundamentally, work towards finding a cure for this disease. In April 2023, we launched our ambitious new research strategy “Catalysing a Cure”, which outlines our continued commitment to our vision and to all the people affected by MND.

Position: Legal Advisor (Volunteer)

Responsibilities:

About the role
As a Policy and Campaigns Volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting our efforts to influence policy, raise awareness, and advocate for improved mental health services for young people. You will work closely with our Policy and Campaigns team to help shape and deliver impactful campaigns and contribute to policy development aimed at creating lasting change.
We are looking for dynamic volunteers who will help us to advocate for change, and work collaboratively with other Policy Volunteers and across the wider charity, to plan, create, and roll out policy and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in research, analysis and drafting of policy papers, briefing notes, and reports related to mental health issues affecting young people.

Support the development and creation of campaigns that raise awareness and push for reforms in mental health services

Monitor relevant policy developments, governmental reports, and key discussions within the mental health sector.

Help with the development of training materials or toolkits for volunteers and supporters to increase awareness and engagement around mental health policy.

Attend and contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions for campaign strategies and policy priorities.

Contribute to the drafting of letters, petitions, and policy submissions aimed at influencing decision makers.

Engage with young people to ensure their voices are heard and included in policy recommendations and campaign efforts.
