Sitting in a high performing team of five the Workforce Development & Training Officers will work together to deliver all aspects of the team’s operational work which achieves the objective of growing the workforce in our specialties, clinical oncology and clinical radiology. In this broad role you will encompass supporting both trainees and their trainers through their programmes. You will be self-motivated, able to build your expertise in the relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks within which they operate and apply that expertise across a wide portfolio of activity. As new initiatives evolve and become business as usual, the work of operations will evolve.

What you’ll do:

• Provide tailored advice on all matters that might affect a trainee’s status and training time using expertise in the regulatory frameworks associated with specialty training in the UK.
• Proactively work with WDTO colleagues to ensure trainees and trainers are adequately supported.
• Review and prepare CESR and MTI applications for assessment by the specialist committee.
• Manage and deliver the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) recommendation process.
• Provide a timely, customer-focussed and responsive service.

• Detailed understanding (or the ability to rapidly acquire it) of UK legislation and GMC regulations and procedures in relation to entry to GMC registers and the right to work in the UK.
• Ability to understand, interpret and advise on legislation, external processes and complex documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues.
• Strong team player able to work collaboratively to meet team goals.

We are looking for a new team member to provide full administrative and programme support to the Employment & Careers team. The role will involve supporting the team in the day to day running of the service including the preparation of contract documentation (such as registration forms, as well as specified supporting evidence: ID proofs, Proofs of Address etc.) for submission to funding partners, uploading data spreadsheets and CMS systems, and supporting the team with promotion, outreach and engagement of our services. This includes conducting follow-ups and answering queries (by phone, email and in person) from both current and prospective participants on the programmes being delivered by High Trees. They will also be responsible for the preparation of finance related performance evidence for monthly/quarterly submission.

The successful applicant will have experience of providing efficient administrative support, be very organised and able to work to deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. The Corporate & Public Engagement team in the Communications Directorate promotes corporate interest in the College and engages future medics and scientists in careers in pathology, particularly through our awareness activities, including National Pathology Week.

The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Corporate & Public Engagement Manager. This would involve booking meetings, drafting correspondence and tracking our budget. You will help to organise events and be responsible for collecting, collating, analysing and presenting feedback from them so we can introduce improvements. About the role

An exciting role to deliver a tailored package of support that will help Reigate and Banstead Council to increase levels of active travel in the area. You will engage with schools, workplaces, and communities to support and enable more people to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot for local everyday journeys, instead of taking the car. 

As the Project Officer, you will plan and deliver fun, innovative and engaging activities such as mapping safe routes, leading rides and walks, practical skills sessions, competitions, initiatives and information events. The range of activities, events and resources will be adapted to meet the needs of the different audiences and will be designed to be inclusive so as many people as possible can benefit from the project and more local journeys can be travelled actively. 

This role will require you to work with a range of people across local and diverse communities, workplaces and schools in Reigate and Banstead. Creating relationships with key people and employers, understanding the barriers, challenges and opportunities to actively travel. You will be working closely with others to develop a programme of activities.

You will have the opportunity to give people confidence, enthusiasm and skills to travel more actively, through events and community activities. 

You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as school or community travel champions, local authority colleagues and other Sustrans delivery officers. 

Within the role, there will be an expectation to capture the impact of the project through completing reporting and monitoring, writing case studies, capturing quotes and photos and contributing to an end of project report. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

You should have experience of working with children and young people within a community setting and delivering physical activities to groups. Your knowledge of the local area will help you form relationships with a wide range of organisations, groups, and individuals.

About the Role

Experience in a VCSE leadership position is essential. The role offers an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in a fast-growing organisation with the support and backing of a forward-thinking trustee board. You will ultimately act as the gatekeeper for all new business (bids, tenders, commissioned work) and work with the Head of Projects & Fundraising to identify and build strong ongoing partner relationships. • Ensure that raising awareness of issues relating to men’s mental health remains a golden thread running through the charity’s entire work and communications, irrespective of whether it results in men accessing Mentell’s services or those of another organisation.
• Work with the Head of Projects & Fundraising and Community Manager to ensure a pipeline of funding from grants, philanthropy, donors and community fundraising.

You might be out and about across Cumbria, gathering content at our sites and with project teams, or in the office putting together videos and infographics.

You’ll need a strong understanding of the social media landscape and an ability to select and tailor content for different channels, finding ways to increase supporter engagement and reach diverse audiences. You’ll also be great at explaining your ideas – from the serious to the silly – and getting people involved.

Our ideal candidate is a first-rate copywriter with confident photography and videography skills. You’ll need to have experience with video editing and graphic design tools, and plenty of creative energy to keep our content fresh.

You’ll work closely with our Digital Engagement Officer and will have access to a training budget to help improve your skills.

• Planning and creating content for our social media channels, to support the Trust’s objectives and communication strategies.

Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) When someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying.

We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Philanthropy Officer
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented and enthusiastic Philanthropy Officer to join a high performing and friendly fundraising team.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and organized Philanthropy Officer who will support the Head of Corporate, Philanthropy & Events to secure and increase income through the charity’s Major Donor strategy.

The post holder will support with developing a robust pipeline of prospects and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing major donor relationships. You will be creative and analytical and provide first class research, administration, relationship management and database skills and provide excellent donor stewardship.

Principal responsibilities include:

• Research and identify potential major donors to build a strong list of prospects, matching against key fundraising priorities, to maximise opportunities and build a healthy prospect pipeline.
• Work with Head of Corporate, Philanthropy & Events to prepare and implement creative donor cultivation and stewardship plans to secure new donors and develop current relationships, including:
  • Creative cases for support with associated budgets.
  • Adapting information for specific donors using different approaches for different audiences.
  • Developing engaging thank you letters and reports. 
• Manage an agreed portfolio of major donor relationships and prospects, with the support of Head of Corporate, Philanthropy & Events, through excellent stewardship and tailored fundraising proposals.
• Take a lead role in development and implementation of a patron and celebrity stewardship plan.
• Provide timely and high-quality updates to donors on the charity’s activities and impact and value of gifts. Work with the Communications team to ensure that major donor supporters receive engaging and relevant marketing materials.

The Operations Officer plays a key role in the delivery of infrastructure projects and provide essential support to the effective day-to-day running of the charity and works closely with all core teams, ensuring processes operating effectively to allow CASPA to grow and adapt to the needs of our members and staff. 

The ideal candidate is a resilient, solution-focused person, able to work efficiently on their own initiative and collaboratively within a team.

They will ideally also understand CASPA’s key work areas.
