The Royal Marsden offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working 2 days per week from their Chelsea/ Sutton office.
As Copywriter, you will gather and develop written content for use across all fundraising campaigns and communication channels, working on a range of creative formats with an initial focus on our new charity website.
Working closely with Marketing & Digital colleagues, you will deliver general fundraising copy and content across paid, owned and earned channels including print, digital, email, appeals and newsletters.
You’ll work across products and campaigns to ensure brand consistency and compliance with guidelines in addition to collaborating with internal teams to gather information and develop content ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
· Generate impactful and creative written content for use across a range of projects and campaigns.
· Be responsible for writing the copy for our new website, ensuring it follows good practice in writing for the web (including SEO and accessibility).
· Support the development of a new USP and associated copy for the Charity. Lead on writing copy
· Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify story ideas that resonate with target audiences and can be translated into multi-channel creative content.
· Ensure campaign key messaging works across varied channels and audiences, to deliver greater impact to new and existing supporters.
· Proactively source and share insights, keeping up to date with market trends and audience motivations to inform the tone and style of supporter materials.
Person Specification:

The TACT London & The East Administration Manager will be an integral member of the Management Team with operational responsibility for three highly dedicated and experienced administrative staff. Joining the team now will mean you will be integral to reviewing existing systems and processes and ensuring administrative tasks consistently facilitate activities for social work colleagues, carers, children and young people.
The Administration Manager will be experienced in leading a small team who work digitally using the Microsoft Office Suite while being fully home based. Role overview
This key role manages our flagship and award-winning project supporting refugees with IT Hardware. The project collects IT Hardware, refurbishes and repairs it through our network of technicians, matches it with a suitable recipient through our referral process and then distributes it to charities and individual refugees and asylum seekers at no cost to the recipient. The project is in its third year, in which it will grow to overseeing e-waste collection and tech re-sale.
This role has two central arms: project management and volunteer management.
Overall management of the project includes key decision-making on tech refurbishment and distribution, building and maintaining key partnerships, impact reporting, staff management, external representation, developing and recording institutional memory and supporting the project's strategic growth with support from the Director. The postholder will be responsible for working with their team to maintain the smooth running of the project and deliver the project outcomes. They will deputise for the Director where necessary.
Volunteer management predominantly looks like the recruitment, coordination, training and retention of technical volunteers, many of whom are asylum seeking graduates of our tech training course. The post holder will be the go-to person for the volunteers and provide technical and management support with the help of our Technical Lead.
We know good project managers have a variety of skills and experience. We are not running a personal specification, but the strongest applications will indicate staff management experience and basic knowledge of IT repair.

Outcome 1 - Manage the Digital Access project and the team working to deliver its outcomes

Job Summary

Overall purpose
The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.
You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.
We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. We are seeking an Impact and Evaluation Manager to work closely with our Head of Data and Impact and Senior Data and Impact Officer. A key part of the role will be helping develop further how we evaluate the impact of our programmes. You’ll also be responsible for producing reports for different audiences including external partners and staff members delivering the IntoUniversity programme in our centres, and supporting with the management of our Salesforce database. As part of a small team, you’ll be involved in impact projects and providing key data support from the start.

The main duties of the role
- To work with the Impact and Operations teams to improve programme evaluation, including designing qualitative and quantitative impact and process evaluations.
- To lead the delivery of evaluations, including data collection, analysis and reporting.
- To act as an impact expert for the charity, using data and impact reporting internally and externally to develop IntoUniversity’s strategic goals
- To play a key role in the formal data and impact reporting for the charity including the production of Impact Reports and annual university reports, and ensuring the impact microsite is kept up to date.
- To prepare reports on the performance of the charity, collating data and presenting it in clear formats for a variety of internal and external audiences including: staff delivering the programme; Regional Operations Managers; the charity’s Senior Leadership and Senior Management teams; Trustees; Donors; University partners.

The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period.
