As Fundraising Assistant, you will report to, and work closely with, the Grants and Philanthropy Manager, under the overall leadership of the Director of Development and Partnerships. You will also work with the Senior Philanthropy Officer, Corporate Partnerships Manager, Supporter Development Manager, Corporate Fundraising Officer, Grants Officer, Fundraising Officer (Claims) and Fundraising Officer (Legacies).
You will be joining the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Fundraising team – a supportive, innovative and welcoming team, responsible for Individual Giving, Major Donors, Grants and Trusts, Legacies, Community Fundraising as well as Corporate Supporters. Norfolk Wildlife Trust prides itself in having an excellent reputation for managing its relationships with donors, sponsors, funders and potential funders sensitively at all times. You will play an important role in assisting with the stewardship of our supporters by coordinating our regular contact strategy with donors and provide administrative support to the Director of Development and Partnerships, Grants and Philanthropy Manager and Senior Philanthropy Officer.
Working closely with other fundraising officers, you will make a direct contribution to the work of the team through supporting the Fundraising Officers in delivering supporter stewardship events, co-ordinating collection boxes, online giving schemes and small-scale community giving.
You will be responsible for drafting and co-ordinating communications acknowledging supporter donations and Donations in Memory.
Being at the front-line of communication, you will maintain a positive, pleasant and 'can-do' attitude in dealings with all those inside and outside the organisation. You will have demonstrable administrative and customer facing experience. The role would be ideal for someone interested in progressing a career in fundraising.
The role is 5 days (35 hours) per week, however part-time hours or a variation to this working pattern will be considered for the right candidate.

1. JOB PURPOSE
AKF(UK) Partnerships Managers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying and cultivating new funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. They engage with European and Asian government, foundation, and corporate donors to mobilise resources for ten multisector profit and not-for-profit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. In addition, Partnership Managers are responsible for a portfolio of select grants implementing across AKDN themes and geographies in close collaboration with field units, global teams, and our partners.

4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
4.1 Securing resources
- Coordinate, facilitate, and lead the development, review, and quality assurance of expressions of interest, concept notes and full proposals for funding opportunities;
- Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as with donors, partners, and consortia to facilitate project design, align proposal and donor requirements, gather required legal and administrative documentation, and draft sections of proposals as needed;
- Coordinate processes of contracting and negotiation, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring contracts ‘get over the line’ in a timely and efficient way;
- When needed, provide direct hands-on support at field level in design of concept notes, proposals, and budgets and conduct donor or field visits to support discussions with new and existing donors/partners;
- Contribute to management systems, such as the Award Information Management System (AIMS).
4.2 Grant management
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of grants through regular interface and coordination with AKF(UK)’s partnerships team, AKF(UK)’s finance team and relevant AKF/AKDN agencies/field units, acting as a central resource for field units in donor best practice;
- Interface with donors and communicate on a regular basis about the implementation of on-going grants to ensure strong, enduring relationships;
- Ensure strong relationship cultivation throughout the grants cycle, anticipate, and plan for future funding and project extensions;
- Oversight, coordination, review, and quality assurance of donor deliverables (e.g. work plans, monitoring and evaluation plans, staffing plans, budgets, close-out plans, donor troubleshooting);
- Ensure adherence with donor requirements, rules, and regulations, and that grant deliverables are produced on time and to a high standard;
- Coordinate contractual amendments, changes, and project adaptations, engage with donors in a pro-active and diplomatic way, and flag potential changes (e.g. budget revisions, extensions, risks) in advance to ‘trouble shoot’ and ensure smooth project implementation;
- Facilitate grant monitoring efforts including routine coordination meetings, donor steering committees, donor project visits, and donor monitoring missions;
- Undertake coordination and administrative tasks related to grants and support the maintenance and update of grant management tools and tracking systems such as AIMS.
4.3 Donor engagement and positioning
- Support the partnership unit in researching, sourcing relevant information, and performing analysis of market trends on new donors, peer organisations, and funding opportunities to identify potential funding and partnering matches for AKF and AKDN priorities;
- Work with country teams, AKDN agencies, and the Global Programmes Team (GPT) to identify, build, and support strategic partnerships on aligned global and regional initiatives, innovations and themes with likeminded donors and partners;
- Develop positioning materials (e.g. presentations, capability statements, briefs, talking points), collaborating with communications teams, to enable effective donor engagement;
- Engage with new and existing donors and partners to identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities;
- Guide teams to make informed, effective decisions on which opportunities to pursue (including ‘Go No-Go’ requests);
- Identify, cultivate, and pre-position with partner organisations to form or join consortia focused funding bids;
- Conduct due diligence on new partners in coordination with finance and partnerships teams.
4.4 Influencing development and communicating practical lessons and results
- Support the influencing of the development sector by convening and participating at events (e.g. conferences, roundtables, policy forums) to share lessons, innovations and knowledge about our programmes that position us as ‘thought leaders’;
- Engage communications teams to identify opportunities and support the development of content (e.g. social media campaigns, videos) that promote AKF and AKDN’s work and position us as ‘partners of choice’ in the sector. Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Deputy Regional Director of Partnerships or Regional Director of Partnerships.

5.1 Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree essential;

- Experience in resource mobilisation and developing relationships, including direct experience with European (EU, Germany, Norway, Sweden, UK) and Asian donors;
- Experience in developing and writing donor proposals and arguments, business cases, concept papers, briefs, executive summaries, as well as coordinating multiple inputs from a variety of sources, and simultaneously managing a variety of relationships;
- Experience developing budgets and business plans;
- Proven success in managing grants in complex organisations with numerous stakeholders.

All of SOHK's activities are underpinned by an evidence based sport for development framework called the 5Cs.
OVERVIEW
School of Hard Knocks is embarking on an ambitious new 3-year fundraising strategy that will see us more than double our income and increase our audience reach so we can support more young people to complete their education and reach their potential. We have not yet proactively explored challenge events or community fundraising and yet we believe this could be an exciting growth area for the charity. We currently run one special event a year, but again, we see opportunity to grow our calendar of special and donor engagement events.
The purpose of this role is to build challenge and special event and community fundraising to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy. You will be an enthusiastic fundraiser, focused on building growth in our events portfolio and bringing creativity and events knowledge to the role. You will develop excellent relationships with our donors and corporate partners who engage in our events, supporting them to maximise their fundraising for the charity.
You will need to use your experience, creativity and proven event planning skills to ensure the success of our ambitious plans for achieving an effective events calendar for the charity.
This is a maternity cover contract with the potential to extend after the initial 12 months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Events Fundraising:
- Work to achieve the Fundraising strategy by effectively initiating and delivering a calendar of challenge and special events suitable for our audiences across the UK, that will drive audience reach and income, focusing on delivering a good return on investment and achieving set objectives.
- Develop excellent donor journeys for all participants and attendees, putting in place effective and efficient processes and procedures.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to design and implement appropriate marketing strategies to maximise participation for all events including pre-, during- and post-event publicity.
- With support from the Communications team, develop timely social media content and achieve local media coverage by gathering compelling supporter stories.
- Ensure all supporter records are kept up to date with all interactions and the highest quality data is captured.
- Effectively follow all appropriate protocols and policies for the handling and receipting of donations and sponsorship monies and accurate recording of supporter information. Ensure all information is recorded in line with data protection legislation (GDPR).
- Work with the wider Fundraising and Communications Team to ensure a seamless donor experience for all and optimise cross-selling opportunities where appropriate.
- Monitor progress against set KPIs, report analysis of challenge events to the Director of Fundraising and review performance to ensure effectiveness. Provide relevant data and insight to inform next steps and plans for future growth.
Community Fundraising:
- Work with the Director of Fundraising to devise and implement an annual fundraising plan for community fundraising.
- Work with the Regional Fundraising Managers to maximise opportunities for Community fundraising in the areas we work in.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Fundraiser to join our fantastic team of fundraisers who work tirelessly to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer. This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

This role sits within the Philanthropy and Partnerships team. The team are incredibly friendly, supportive and full of ideas about ways they can support the Partnerships division.
Our current portfolio of partners include charity of the year, commercial and brand partnerships, strategic and pro bono. This role will be leading on our long standing, multi million pound partnership with J D Wetherspoon.
What are we looking for?
To drive our plans and maximise fundraising opportunities across our most successful corporate partnership; we are seeking a passionate, energetic, and strategic individual to join us.
Because this is a contract role, we are ideally looking for someone with existing account management experience in the sector who is able to hit the ground running.
The key skills we are looking for are:
- Management of corporate partners – lead the management of our biggest corporate partner, ensuring that agreed targets and objectives, including financial targets and partnership extensions, are met or exceeded wherever possible. Through exceptional storytelling, communication and presentation skills to engage and inspire senior decision makers and thousands of employees within the partnership.
- Leadership skills in order to inspire your direct report and collaborate effectively with colleagues from across the charity.
- Agility in order to react quickly to new, sometimes unforeseen opportunities and deliver results. Planning and budgets - produce annual plans, budgets, KPIs and partnership plans

Bristol Animal Rescue Centre is seeking an Interim Chief Executive to cover the CEO position during a period of family leave.
About Us:
Our mission is to ensure that animals in need within our community receive the compassion, care and respect they deserve. We are committed to helping, healing and homing animals for as long as they need us.
In the last year alone:
- we provided nearly 24,000 days of care to domestic animals
- we rehomed, or reunited with their owners, nearly 500 animals
- we delivered over 2,600 consultations through our community outreach clinics
About the role:
In 2023 we embarked on an exciting new 5-year strategy “For people, for pets, for Bristol”. We aim to expand our reach to more animals and residents in Bristol and the surrounding areas through a more comprehensive Community Pet Support Scheme.
We have a number of key organisational projects that need to be driven through over the next 12 months and so are looking for a strong and authentic leader to work closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees, and lead our Senior Management and Leadership Team, in the delivery of our services and strategic initiatives.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- a passion for the protection and wellbeing of animals
- a track record of senior roles in the charity or not for profit sectors managing multi-disciplinary teams
- substantial experience and success in organisational change and programme management
- inspirational leadership and people management skills with a commitment to motivating, multi-functional teams; optimising their knowledge, skills and potential
- a flair for engaging with supporters and internal and external stakeholders
- the skills and experience to maintain the financial viability of the organisation
- substantial experience of setting, monitoring & reviewing objectives, key performance indicators, and standard compliance mechanisms, including evidence-based measurement of improved outcomes
