The Volunteer Coordinator supports the development and management of volunteer roles at The Jumbulance Trust. This includes recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers, particularly those in carer and fundraising roles. All administrative duties involved in creating records and storing personal data of volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

Volunteer management

  - Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers in collaboration with the Senior Administrator and Trustees.

  - Match volunteers' skills with the needs of Assisted Travellers, including home visits for assessments.

  - Maintain volunteer records and ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations.

Training and Support

  - Develop and deliver volunteer training, both face-to-face and online.

  - Arrange regular online meetings to provide feedback and support to volunteers.

  - Ensure high-quality volunteer experiences and address any complaints or concerns.

Development and Recognition

  - Promote Jumbulance Trust as a top choice for volunteers by attending events and building community relationships.

  - Recognise and celebrate volunteer contributions through awards and other acknowledgments.

Strategic Initiatives:

  - Develop new volunteering opportunities and support Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

  - Establish training placements with nursing and health professions students.

Causeway Education is a charity supporting young people to overcome barriers in accessing Higher Education and apprenticeships. Overview

JOB TITLE: Programmes Officer

Main duties

Programme Support 

• Provide support across Causeway's broad portfolio of programmes, such as online mentoring, insight days, work experience weeks and university and employer outreach schemes

• Organise programme-related events, such as workshops/webinars 

• Deliver online and in-person workshops to students and stakeholders, alongside other members of the Programmes Team

• Look after our shared inboxes and share queries with relevant team members 

• Support the collection of information as part of programme reporting requirements

• Support in the design and creation of new programme resources

• Support other team members with management of external communications including the Causeway website, Twitter account and newsletters 

• Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement with Causeway’s programmes (for example, student 1-1 calls and emails)

The Group Finance Director holds a key role in the executive team in the Foundation Office of the Charity.  They are accountable for all matters relating to the UWGCF Charity finance, including the oversight of school income, endowment investments, loans, subsidiary companies, VAT, and the leadership of the Foundation finance team.  To succeed in the job, the post holder needs to build effective working relationships with independent school bursars and finance teams and link effectively with the Business managers in the state funded academies.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown.  Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team in a highly rewarding opportunity. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. • manage families’ expectations of the legal and procedural processes facing them by supporting families in meetings with agencies such as health, police and local authorities;
• give families practical help on a wide range of issues - including help with letter writing or advocating with employers and local authorities on the families’ behalf;
• Support AAFDA in our bringing families together in AAFDA’s peer support events, such as the Hear Our Voice weekend and the on-line peer support Zoom sessions, where families can speak with others to share their experiences and stories. This will involve occasional evening work.

The Philanthropy Manager is a key member of the Philanthropy & Partner Engagement Department within War Child’s award-winning Fundraising team. Working closely with the Philanthropy Lead (line manager) and Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will manage a portfolio of major donors at 5- and 6-figure level to support a team target of c£1.4M.

Results oriented, you will have strong interpersonal and management skills together with a flexible and proactive approach. This is a great opportunity for a motivated relationship fundraiser with a passion for international development to join a successful and ambitious team.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will: 

• Identify and qualify a pipeline for up to 6-figure gifts for both unrestricted and restricted giving
• Lead and be supported on building an excellent stewardship programme, supporting relationship managers across the team to deliver sector leading supporter journeys
• Develop and implement strong cultivation and solicitation plans for existing donors to generate significant income from the portfolio. This will include personal meetings, attending networking events, writing proposals/reports and making presentations
• Take an active role where relevant, on the planning and delivery of a diverse portfolio of philanthropy events, including events that are hosted by Ambassadors

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experienced in a similar fundraising role, with a knowledge of major donor fundraising, ideally within an international development or humantarian NGO
• Ability to input into fundraising strategies with a track record of securing 4-5 figure gifts and delivering against targets
• Experienced in stewardship strategies for major donors or the development of supporter journeys in order to retain donors
• A relationship focussed approach with strong networking skills at senior levels internally and externally

Location: Central London (Chancery Lane/Farringdon area) with hybrid working from home
Starting salary: £30,000-34,000pa depending on experience, plus excellent benefits

As the External Relations Officer you will:

- Ensure the organisation has a good understanding of relevant policy and sector developments, and that we are aware of opportunities to influence.
- Work with key internal groups to keep developing our understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the mental health workforce.
- Support the organisation to identify and build relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Help to build our profile as sector workforce experts by generating content such as blogs, and by identifying speaking opportunities for our internal specialists.

We are looking for someone with good communications instincts who is passionate about policy and public affairs, and has a ‘can-do’ attitude and a desire to learn and develop. We don’t need you to be highly experienced in all three areas (communications, policy and public affairs), we are happy to work with the right candidate to develop your skills and experience.
