Age UK is offering an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Change Manager to support local Age UKs to maintain and enhance their strategic positioning, financial sustainability, and governance.

This role will provide support to both individual and groups of local Age UKs in relation to organisational development, significant strategic change, contingency planning, and crisis management. Support will need to be provided in a timely, focused, and impactful manner.

The Strategic Change Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders across the Network to develop and implement robust project plans, take a proactive approach to challenges, and ensure the continuity of high-quality services and support for older people.

The role will have responsibility for overseeing a small team of Network & Engagement Managers whose focus is to develop and maintain strong relationships with Chief Officers and Chairs of local Age UKs.

Salary advertised is reflective of a hybrid/London contract, a blend of home working and working from our central London office.

This role may also be considered as a home-based contract - salary £52,326 - £57,834

There is a requirement to travel to sites across the Age UK Network, when required.

Age UK Grade 4L (or 4N)

Must haves:

• Excellent understanding of the policy and legislative environment in which Age UK services operate, current and future issues in the charity sector, governance, and legal framework and how it translates into reality.
• Knowledge of the role of statutory, voluntary, and private sectors in relation to service provision for older people.
• Knowledge of services for older people, with a particular focus on those provided by local Age UKs.
• Excellent influencing, negotiation, and persuasion skills to enable the delivery of positive solutions when working with local Age UKs at times of organisational stress.

About The Role

You will develop our data and analytical capabilities, to give us a more in-depth understanding of our visitors and supporters, enabling their supporter journey to maximise income and engagement.

As our Senior Data Executive you will work in partnership with colleagues across WWT to:

This role supports the Business and Industry team at EngineeringUK – we work with our network of Corporate Members, Professional Engineering Institutions and others who fund our work in education and with young people, including the annual Big Bang Fair.

About the role
 

The Corporate Relationships Executive provides administrative solutions and support to the Business and Industry (B&I) team, with a particular focus on supporting our work with Corporate Members. Reporting into the Head of Corporate Relationships, this role works closely with the Head and three Corporate Relationships Managers, and the wider B&I team, to ensure the smooth running of our membership network and other stakeholder relationships. This includes taking the lead on planning and drafting all communications, event and meeting management, project managing the development of new materials, and being a point of contact for our members internally and externally. 
 

The role is London based at the EngineeringUK offices at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and will involve some (approximately quarterly) travel in the UK (including overnight). We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working with a minimum of 2 days (or 40%) a week in the office and core hours of 10am to 4pm.

Person specification
 

Essential skills/competencies

· Strong administrator with ability to suggest and implement improvements to processes

· Track record of high-quality event and meeting management

· Ability to work across a team and wider organisation, with many relationships managed virtually

· Experience using all Microsoft systems, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

· Good quality writing skills, with ability to write concisely and clearly

· Experience of managing a varied workload and organising your time effectively

· Good research skills, with ability to synthesise information quickly.

· Commitment to our mission and values, you will be able to engage with our values and work in a way that supports our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion

 

Education/level of experience
 

· There are no firm requirements but this role will suit someone with a few years of relevant experience

· Helpful previous experience includes managing a CRM system and having had a role in externally-facing client or member relationships

· Experience of STEM outreach, working with young people, and working with businesses would all be advantageous but not essential

With a focus on face to face fundraising, this is the ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic fundraising training to join our growing compliance team. 

Salary
The salary for this position is £30,619 per annum. 

As Fundraising Training Executive, you will:

• Get to travel extensively across the UK, in helping support the delivery of fundraising training and quality control activities for our face-to-face fundraisers, 
• Be working closely with our Supporter Relations team and prominent agencies managing complaints and positive feedback to ensure a good supporter experience.
• Use your ‘detective skills’ in mystery shopping our face-to-face fundraisers to ensure they are adhering to necessary fundraising regulations.
• Be part of a team who are passionate about fundraising compliance and training.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• You have knowledge of the Fundraising Code of Practice and how it applies to face-to-face fundraising 
• Some experience of training techniques which will work across different training needs and styles of learning  
• Good interpersonal and communications skills to enable effective working with third party agencies, and internal stakeholders   
• Strong attention to detail
