The resulting feasibility study and business plan will then inform the potential next steps for Faith in Affordable Housing Scotland.

The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is a charity that represents the voice of people living with dyslexia and dyscalculia. As the Breck Foundation's new Project Coordinator (Pan Sussex), with the support of the CEO, you will lead the initial project set up, the recruitment of schools and young people, followed by all training and coordination of the delivery.

Breck Foundation is a unique and dynamic organisation that makes a real difference. The charity was founded in 2014 in memory of Breck Bednar, a 14-year-old boy who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online. We inform, educate and campaign to help young people and the wider UK public reclaim the internet from those who seek to harm others through it. Our educational programmes reach thousands of students, parents and safeguarding professionals each year.
The Project
Over the last few years, the Breck Foundation worked closely with Volunteer Police Cadet Units in Surrey and Tower Hamlets to train cadets as ‘Breck Ambassadors’, equipping them with the training needed to talk in schools to their peers about staying safe online and the key signs of grooming.
We are proud to take this successful project further having secured funding with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) to recruit and train up to 30 ‘Youth Ambassadors’ (for online safety) in schools across Sussex. The Youth Ambassadors will learn how to tell Breck’s story and empower young people with the tools they need to stay safe online. Working closely with schools to enable the students to become Online Safety Ambassadors for their school community, advocate for their peers and to be a voice of expertise and counsel. You will work with schools and community groups to generate impact through Breck’s story (on online grooming) and other important topics related to children’s online safety.
This flagship project for the OSPCC will launch in April 2025 (Coordinator starts in January 2025) and run for at least 12 months, with potential funding up to three years. We hope it will set a precedent for others to follow our lead and develop similar programmes for young people across the UK.

What will I be doing?

What skills are you looking for?

About the role:
We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. Role Overview: In this commercial development role, you'll focus on member recruitment to meet business targets. Your key responsibilities include researching sales leads, building a strong sales pipeline, and assisting the membership sales team with administrative tasks. You'll work closely with the Member Engagement and Development Manager to create and execute recruitment plans and drive member sign-ups through outreach and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in devising and executing member recruitment plans to achieve sales targets.
- Research and identify new sales leads, cold calling companies to explain membership benefits and value.
- Support the development of membership agreements and group memberships within organisations.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline, passing leads to the permanent sales team for closing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new partners and deliver recruitment targets.
- Drive membership sign-ups using events, existing relationships, and outreach.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and well-being responsibilities.
- Uphold the organisation's values, particularly around Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
The successful candidate:
- Knowledge of business development, with experience in building sales plans to drive growth.
- Experience within a sales role and delivering results.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, both oral and written.

- Comfortable with cold calling and generating new leads from data lists.

About the role
This is an awesome role focussed on improving our ways of working and processes when it comes to those who support us. We want all of our supporters to have a first class experience when they decide to donate their time and/or money to supporting children and young people with cancer and their families. However we know that as an organisation we have more to do to make this happen and the time is now.
Working in Income Generation, this role will take a recently conducted diagnostic carried out by a business improvement consultant and not only work through the next steps but make change happen, prioritising the areas with the biggest wins. This role really will have a lasting legacy in the organisation.
We're not just looking for someone to map change, this person will lead operational design and process re-engineering that transforms the Income Generation directorate and it's workforce into high achievers.
You’ll be based within the Project Management Office (PMO), a supportive team of professionals that lead transformational change across the organisation as well as corporate planning. You’ll also have close relationship with the Head of Planning and Strategy in Income Generation as well as the Associate Director Supporter Engagement.

What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
- Building on the diagnostics carried out already within Income Generation directorate to optimise organisational design and scope improvements.
- Using the diagnostics to identify pain areas, develop a sequenced plan to tackle these issues and then implement the plan to improve performance, processes and services i.e. “getting hands dirty”.
- Embedding a culture of improvement in the organisation and developing these capabilities within the workforce.
- All of these activities will involve facilitating workshops, engaging audiences with tailored communications, debating and negotiating ideas with leaders, managing governance, risks and dependencies, evaluating progress etc.

- Experience of delivering transformational change by using process improvement principles & methodologies such as TQM, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma to design services and processes that deliver value, efficiency, higher quality, lower costs and better results
- Ability to do big picture thinking and drive the change that is needed, don’t sit back and react to the change that is happening.
- Challenging directly with assertive communication style balanced with caring deeply through consultative and listening skills.
- Being curious, looking beyond the obvious to get the real picture.
