About the role

This pivotal role will see you working with colleagues across the IG team and with wider fundraising colleagues to deliver the Individual Giving (IG) and Retention strategies, working to:

- Increase lifetime value of cash, regular giving and lottery supporters

- Manage key projects and exceptional fundraising campaigns with significant income and expenditure targets

- Give supporters more control of how they give, when we contact them and the content that will mean most to them at their stage in their supporter journey.

- Make sure that each campaign builds strong supporter relationships and long-term commitment to Shelter

- Develop inspiring multi-channel integrated campaigns to create accurate, consistent and engaging experiences at every supporter touchpoint.

- You’ll have the opportunity to deliver audience-led new product and propositions to engage and retain supporters in innovative ways.

- You’ll work across teams as part of our matrix colleague, collaborating on new strategies for creating

- Manage budgets for individual campaigns and help with forecasting income and expenditure targets

About you

Passionate about outstanding supporter experiences and maximising income opportunities, you have demonstrated experience of direct marketing and digital channels such as direct mail, SMS, telemarketing and email.

You’re also used to optimising and reviewing campaigns and aren’t afraid to share both failures and successes. You’ll be highly collaborative, flexible and diplomatic in your approach to managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.

What’s more, you excel in analysis and intelligent use of data, are great at utilising insight, including the motivations, interests and behaviours of supporters to guide decisions and have a demonstrated knowledge of project management and development, and will be able to manage multiple projects at once.

You’re happy to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas, methods and processes too, like to horizon scan and keep ahead of emerging trends and are comfortable working in matrix teams.

What's on offer:

The Business Development Co-ordinator reports to the Business Development Operations Manager and is the linchpin for our business development programmes.  You will be responsible for setting up events online and face to face, contacting trainers, taking bookings and supporting with promotion; making sure the support and content made available to families is kept up to date. The role also involves updating our CRM database, making sure invoices are raised and paid and collating information for reports from the database or Excel.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who has excellent IT and digital skills, ideally with experience of online event systems such as Eventbrite and Zoom, a good knowledge of Excel and experience using a CRM database. You’ll need to be highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a friendly, confident phone manner and a good knowledge of the issues and concerns families with disabled children face.

Your role

We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. Fee Structure

The daily rate is negotiable, based on the experience and qualifications of the bid writer. Additionally, there is the possibility of a commission or performance-based incentive for successfully securing large grants. This will be agreed upon in the contract negotiations.

A great opportunity has risen for a Specialist Respiratory Dietitian to become part of our helpline team.  Our helpline is open Monday to Friday, and this position provides the flexibility of locum work allowing you to choose days based on your availability.  In this role you will be part of a frontline team who make a real difference daily to those people living with a lung conditions.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will work as a member of the helpline team providing respiratory nutritional support to people living with a lung condition, as well as their relatives and carers. The role will involve communicating with service users through providing telephone support on an individual basis and presenting educational sessions to attendees of our support groups.

You will have recent experience in nutritional care in a primary, secondary or tertiary setting. IT skills are essential and experience of a customer relationship manager system (data recording system) an advantage.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown.  Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team in a highly rewarding opportunity. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. We have a job vacancy for a Dementia Specialist to join Shine as the Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) / Dementia Coordinator. 

Shine has a membership of over 14,000 members living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus and associated conditions and over 6,500 associated members.

In the last year we have seen a 25% increase in members who are living with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. There are currently just over 600 members with NPH, plus their carers registered, but we are expecting this to continue to rise as awareness and diagnosis of the condition grows.

We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Officer to support our team campaigning to stop the development of new oil and gas fields and for a rapid and fast phase out of oil & gas in the UK through a just transition.

About us

Uplift is a campaigning and research organisation which supports efforts to create a rapid and fair transition away from oil and gas production in the UK. We have coordinated and implemented major successful campaigns and developed cutting-edge campaign, communications and research tactics. We have grown rapidly as an organisation over the last three years and are now looking for a Social Media Officer.

The Role

Core responsibilities will include: 

• Maintaining and implementing content plan for social media channels (primarily Instagram, X, Tiktok and Facebook) including drafting copy, creating content and ensure consistent posting for all channels with the guidance of Digital campaigner/Digital Campaign Lead and campaign team
• Producing a range of daily digital content for Uplift’s social media channels - from simple social-first graphic design, to lo-fi effective social video content
• Working in collaboration with other creatives - ie graphic designers, video producers, creators and influencers - for additional campaign assets
• Creating reactive content and messaging to respond to current events, helping Uplift maximise opportunities for engagement and growth using the news cycle
• Community management across the various campaign channels
• Developing social media toolkits and coordinating with partners around big mobilisations
• Analysing the performance of social media outputs and their contribution towards the wider campaign, and making recommendations on how to improve
• Managing the distribution of key pieces of social media content to relevant stakeholders to increase online amplification (partners, groups and pages)
• Supporting the campaign team on other digital tasks as required: ie  maintaining campaign websites, digital action tools, online databases and email inbox

Desirable skills/attributes

• Experience (voluntary or paid) working on high-profile/ambitious campaigns
• An understanding of the debate surrounding the energy transition, and how it plays out in contemporary politics and current affairs
• Experience working with external freelancers and agencies
• Experience using Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite (or other similar creative software)

York Carers Centre is an independent charity that helps unpaid carers in York access the support they need.  We currently have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a genuine interest in using their experience and skills to lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers working with and for young carers across York.

With responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of an effective quality Young Carer Service the post holder will ensure young carers are identified and recognised and have access to a range of emotional and practical support according to their specific needs.

The role will involve providing monitoring reports to our funders, working strategically with a range of professionals from the voluntary and statutory sector, and building relationships with schools; to raise awareness of young carers and ensure carers and their families access relevant information and support.

The Lead Officer will support the team to deliver activities and one-to-one support for the most vulnerable young people and work with colleagues to create initiatives which ensure young carers have fun, develop healthy networks and develop their voice through active participation thereby effecting positive change.

We are looking for an individual who can work under pressure and prioritise and manage own workload and that of the Young Carer team with minimum supervision and take appropriate action according to policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection.

AWF is seeking a confident and highly organised Development Officer to join our ambitious External Affairs team on a part-time basis for 9 month maternity contract, beginning end September. The team is committed to cultivating a diverse pipeline of donors – individuals, corporations and foundations - and stewarding current donors whose contributions support AWF’s mission to ensure that wildlife and wild lands endure in modern Africa.This role is central to delivering AWF’s fundraising goals in the UK.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Donor Engagement UK, the Development Officer’s role is to provide back-end support to the UK fundraisers supporting the moves management process and smooth running of the virtual office, ensuring compliance with UK laws. The position will manage all elements of the virtual office, administration and reporting and support the team in managing portfolios of donors and prospects targeting mid-level and high net worth individuals, corporates and foundations.  

Key Responsibilities

Administration

• Manages virtual offices and membership programme payment processing in collaboration with our data services team based in the US.  
• Manages post where it relates to membership mailings. Manages orders for stationery and AWF materials needed to support mailings, events, and donor management (internal and external contracts).
• Support UK Director and Senior Manager, Donor Engagement in organising donor meetings.
• Manage travel and logistics for visiting AWF staff to the UK.

Portfolio growth and stewardship

• Works closely with the global research team to develop prospect lists for UK donors/partners – ensuring AWF is using the best possible tools for research and prospecting in the UK mindful of GDPR.
• Support fulfilment of UK donor stewardship plans to ensure all donors have appropriate and considerate communications from AWF working with AWF’s Communications team, Digital Officer and Director of Annual Giving.

Donor Information Management

• Oversees RE records for UK donors and prospects, making sure mailing lists are correct and can easily be drawn down for communications, maintaining accurate records of all donor interactions, individuals’ programmatic interests, trends in giving, and type of support to solicit.
• Works with Data Services and the UK team to review portfolios and make sure amendments are made on Raiser Edge ( RE).

Content Development and Communications

• Manages regular mailings to target audiences, as well as invitations to organisational wide donor engagement activities.
• Sends donor acknowledgements by email and phone calls (for smaller gifts).

Requirements and Skills

• Knowledge of the UK fundraising market, UK data protection guidelines and best practice and experience of working within these guidelines.
• Demonstrable knowledge of all Microsoft office packages, mail merges and mailchimp software.
• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge software.
• Persuasive written communication skills in both creative and technical formats.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to relate to people from a variety of cultural and national backgrounds.
• Demonstratable experience working remotely and independently. Global team working experience preferred or working across time zones.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
