Purpose of the job
This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Fundraising team. You will have experience of: Securing funding from Trusts with excellent writing and presentation skills; Solid prospect research skills to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a forward pipeline of applications; Of working collaboratively with Service Teams to package and cost project areas; Stewardship of warm funders including preparing donor reports, reviewing financial reports and gathering case studies. Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Executive – Volunteering and Operations, you will take on a varied role at the Charity Hub, including:
- Transforming the Charity Hub at the hospital into a vibrant and welcoming space.
- Overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, training and daily management of Volunteers and Charity staff.
- Ensuring that the Hub serves as a dynamic space, offering essential information for all and providing engaging activities for patients and families, so they can learn more about GOSH Charity.
This is the ideal role for someone who wants a role with impact and to make their mark on the Charity Hub.
Some of the key goals this role is working towards include:
- Expanding the Hub’s opening hours.
- Integrating the Hub into the hospital environment.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for a busy team, supporting effective delivery of key participation projects that puts children and young people’s voices at the heart of government. This is primarily an administration post with some opportunity to develop engagement skills. This is a varied role that requires significant attention to detail, the ability to move between tasks at rapid pace, and skill to make complex information accessible for a range of stakeholders. The majority of the post holder’s duties will support the Making Participation Work programme, experience of working with disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs would be an advantage.

You will also be responsible for managing children and young people’s data and information, creating newsletters and social media content.
