We are recruiting for a talented Finance and Debt Specialist Advisor who has a background in supporting women or children who have experienced domestic violence to make a genuine difference to the lives of survivors. We believe in empowering women and girls to lead safe, non-violent, equal lives and you will play a key role in helping us deliver vital services to those who need them the most. As a Finance & Debt Specialist Advisor, you will provide service users with advice and support on finance and debt. Carrying out comprehensive assessments, via phone and face-to-face, and you will provide advocacy and support that empowers survivors primarily during crises and in the short term. You will also proactively work with other agencies on the service users’ behalf. You will hold a caseload of survivors and work as part of our duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

The service is Pan London and operates within local communities, necessitating travel across all 11 boroughs to deliver outreach support to clients when needed.

About You:

To be successful as the Finance and Debt Specialist Advisor you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have the ability to encourage user engagement with the service through proactive contact. Maintain project logs and collate data from the logs for Team Managers. Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have. Bring your experience of providing finance, and debt advice and successfully, managing high numbers of calls and/or cases and have a solid understanding (possibly experience) of supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour-based violence

As the Peer to Peer Groupwork Facilitator you will set up, lead and deliver a year-long peer to peer group programme for bereaved families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child.

The groupwork is based on a programme led by Harvard University and Boston’s Children’s hospital and has structured sessions drawing upon psychological model of CBT, although the sessions are not therapeutic. Each session has a theme and incorporates education, guidance and support.

You will establish and deliver a new peer online support group, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery and creating a safe and welcoming space for bereaved families.

Outside the group sessions you will be responsible for managing the administration and evaluation of the service, including and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.

It is a key time to be joining the charity and helping us to continue to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families. The charity has been hugely successful, but the work is far from done. The impact of the sudden death of a baby is wide and never goes away, as we know from the families that we support. This drives all our work, across each department. Refugee Council – Philanthropy Manager

Refugee Council is seeking an experienced philanthropy specialist to develop and grow the Refugee Council’s Philanthropy relationships and programme and deliver an ambitious Philanthropy strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Office Manager would work with our small team of 7 staff by providing organisational and administrative support. 

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, advanced proficiency in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), general bookkeeping skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Experience of working with a database  is a desirable skill.

The post holder will:

• Work with the Director and wider team to ensure efficient office operations.
• Implement and maintain procedures/office administrative systems.
• Manage office supplies and equipment.
• Manage databases. Check that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies (training can be provided).

The Politics Project is based in London and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The role is part time, 4 days a week. John Lyon’s Charity is delighted to be recruiting for an Office Manager to join its dynamic our team. This is an exciting time to join the Charity as it embarks on a new chapter of our strategic objectives in grant giving. We are looking for an Office Manager to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. The Office Manager will be responsible for providing receptionist duties and be the Charity’s first point of contact by telephone and for in person visitors, they will respond to enquiries received by post, telephone, or email, provide office and facilities management support to the Charity staff team, and provide executive assistance and diary management to the Chief Executive. The role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organisational effectiveness, communication, and safety.

We want to hear from you if you’re a proactive problem-solver with a knack for keeping things organized and a flair for fostering a positive atmosphere. We are looking for an individual with experience of office management and administration including diary management; excellent organizational skills with experience of managing immediate and long-term deadlines, processing invoices, computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook), able to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative and  work calmly under time pressure managing day-today operation.

CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.

The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for providing families (parents/carers and children up to ten years) affected by cleft with opportunities to access accurate information, connect with each other and form supportive communities. They will champion CLAPA volunteers and will lead on the development and effective delivery of our volunteering strategy.

£41,189 per annum (London based) / £38,390 per annum (National based)

In 2020, the Board and Executive Leadership Team agreed a bold new strategy that we believe will transform the experiences of young people in this country. As we stepped into 2024, we commenced with the private phase of an audacious Major Appeal to generate c£100m of new funding over the next 8 years; we are building towards a public launch of this campaign throughout 2025. At the heart of our plans to achieve this appeal and the transformative impacts for young people are our Brand, Audiences and Storytelling - particularly as we centre the voices, needs and experiences of young people.

As the audience insight manager at TCS, you will help us to put our audiences at the heart of everything we do. You will use your knowledge of our target audiences, the wider charity market and our brand to inform effective and creative decision-making on campaigns and activities.

You'll help us to optimise activity and innovate by bringing insight together from a range of sources (primary and secondary) to ensure we are always audience first and insight led. You'll be responsible for horizon scanning and trend analysis to ensure colleagues across social impact stay abreast of new developments in and outside the sector. And you'll oversee our brand tracking and audience testing and will be responsible for managing and delivering qualitative and quantitative research projects liaising with external agencies as well as internal stakeholders.

With previous experience in an insight, strategy or research role, you will be an expert at interrogating qualitative and quantitative information; able to pick out the most useful points and build a persuasive strategy through effective story telling. You're proactive and excel at building strong stakeholder relationships. And you're always looking for new and better ways of gathering insight.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Experience of conducting primary research (quantitative and qualitative)

-A good understanding of the charity sector

-Strong analytical skill-set, being able to bring together data from a range of sources in meaningful ways

-Excellent communication and story telling skills

John Lyon’s Charity is delighted to be recruiting for a Grants Manager to join its dynamic Grants Team. This is an exciting time to join the Charity as it embarks on a new chapter of our strategic objectives in grant giving. The Grants Manager will be responsible for their own portfolio of grants as well as supporting the Grants Directorate with the development and execution of the Charity’s strategic objectives to maximise the benefit of the Charity’s funding.

The Grants Manager will be responsible for end-to-end grant-making; assessing applications, making recommendations and monitoring of a portfolio of grants. The grants will be broad in range from smaller, single year grants under the School Holiday Activity Fund to multi-year, large grants within the Open Grants Programme. The role holder will work closely with other members of the Grants Team, including the Directors, to support learning, develop special initiatives and contribute to the creation of policy and processes. The role will suit someone with previous grant-making experience who is seeking to develop their expertise in place-based grant-making and/or the CYP sector. Given the nature of the existing portfolio, experience of working with cultural organisations and education settings would be a particular benefit.
