• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
• Build and maintain the team’s programme of activities, ensuring resources are appropriately planned to deliver individual projects as needed.
• Work with the Head of Workforce Development and Training and Workforce Project Officers to plan and agree deliverable programmes of work over the college year.
• Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of workforce development initiatives, ensuring alignment with RCR objectives.
• Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest impact and reach.
• Establish and oversee necessary quality assurance mechanisms for workforce and training programmes.

Main Roles

• To provide advice and casework at OISC Level 2/3 on immigration, nationality and asylum law.
• To provide supervision to Immigration Volunteer

Specific Duties

• Manage a complex caseload across the field of immigration, nationality and asylum law.
• Adhere to casework procedures as outlined in LRMN’s policies, the OISC and / or Solicitors Regulations Authority (SRA) standards and the Advice Quality Standards (AQS).
• Interview and advise clients regarding immigration and asylum law procedure, and practice in a sensitive and professional manner.
• Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with OISC registration or similar professional body, e.g SRA.
• Keep up to date at all times with changes in the law by reading and attending training events relating to asylum and immigration.
• To maintain accurate and detailed case records of clients for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval and statistical monitoring, using Advice Pro as appropriate and as required by management.
• Advocate on behalf of clients by telephone, letter and email with appropriate agencies.
• Produce reports to meet funder’s and LRMN requirements.
• Work closely with the Immigration Manager and/or external evaluator in gathering data and information to produce accurate monitoring and evaluation reports.
• To assist the LRMN in liaising with its partners, funders and to provide statistical information and updates as required.
• Work closely with the Immigration Manager in reviewing files and ensure that corrective actions are undertaken.
• Provide regular supervision to Iimmigration volunteers.
• Allocate immigration tasks appropriate volunteers’ knowledge and skills.
• Keep records of supervision meetings with immigration volunteers

Other Duties

• To participate in LRMN staff meetings, maintaining a high level of professionalism and contributing skills and knowledge towards best practice for the organisation.
• To develop partnerships and attend external meetings relevant to the work of information and advice in general and immigration in particular.

• Experience in relationship management, working with Governments, donors, trusts and foundations, or equally demanding partners.
• Experience of undertaking industry trend and donor specific research, finding relevant, reliable, and up to date information quickly.
• Ideally knowledge of and experience working directly with Governments and other key factors such as multi-lateral institutions e.g. their structures, operations and priorities (geographic, sectorial, thematic, at policy & advocacy levels).

Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building. 

Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.

Thank you for taking an interest in our Data and Insight Coordinator role. 

This role will be central to ensuring our data-driven approach aligns with our goals. You'll work closely with the Head of Evidence and Impact and colleagues across the organisation to:

• strengthen our data infrastructure,
• optimise programme evaluation,
• inform our fundraising and communications efforts, and
• advocate for policy changes that benefit young people.

We're seeking a passionate and collaborative data professional who is excited about using data to drive positive change. We are a small department and this role will help bolster capacity as we embark on an exciting period of growth with our new 2024-2027 strategy cycle. 

This role is perfect for someone looking to take a step up in data management, training & information sharing.

Khulisa’s new strategy is focused on evolving our delivery approach for lasting impact. This involved making significant changes to our programme delivery and operating model. This shift towards prioritising long-term outcomes and an evolved delivery approach requires an expert Data and Insight Coordinator who can play a central role in data management and analysis, systems development, MEAL (Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning), and storytelling.

Whilst this role requires proven experience of quantitative skills, we are open to candidates with limited or no experience in qualitative research. This is a varied role and there will be opportunities for fieldwork e.g. conducting interviews, facilitating and moderating focus groups, etc. We can provide training and support to help you develop the necessary qualitative skills.

The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about data and eager to contribute to our ongoing efforts to improve our data-driven approach. If you enjoy making data fun and easy to understand, are comfortable working with stakeholders from non analytical backgrounds, and get a kick out of improving processes then get in touch.
